OK so I made a huge mistake and deleted the app_process file from the bin folder. Now my phone won't boot at all. Any ideas how to fix the file? I tried to wipe data and cache but that did not work... would flashing a new rom fix the issue?
Nm, flashed new rom by sideloading in cwm All working now

Well the title says it all... I downloaded and updated the non-paginated rosie addon/theme from synergy updater. I want to go back to how it was previously. I'm not sure how I can do that. Any help would be great.
just reflash the rom without wiping anything (ok, a wipe of dalvik and cache never hurts). you'll lose all system mods you have done so far, but it's the only way besides restoring a nandroid or manually replacing the files (which i assume you don't want/know how to do)
I'm sure I can do that, what files do I need to replace. I saw Rosie_scroll in astro.

lol rosie_scroll is the cache for the rosie on the sdcard that won't help. to replace files, open the zip you flashed, and find out what files it changed (ignore the META-INF folder btw, that's where the signatures and update scripts are). then just open the rom zip, and find the same files. now adb push, push using root explorer, or build a flashable zip of those files.
Hi , sorry for my bad english
The problem is when i backup a rom from the recovery cm , and i want to restore the data after i flashing a new rom the recovery cannot find the backup file, cuz it is in the /0 file
I tried to transfrer the back up file out of /0 file by root exeplore but it didnt work
Help plz ,
From the root folder, navigate and place the backup in /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/
Thats where mine is anyway.
I accidentally deleted the /system/app folder while doing the R2D2 ROM flashing process and now my phone wont boot back up, it is stuck at the Droid screen, it plays itself over and over again, any help on how to fix it would be appriciated!!

You'll have to re-flash the ROM you are on.
I'd try to copy and paste the /system/app folder from the zip file of the ROM (using AROMA file manager in CWM recovery) but that might not be stable and all your user apps will be gone with the data and property files still there.
So it's probably easier and safer to just do a data/cache/dalvik cache wipe and reinstall the ROM
If that doesn't work you might have to re-flash the firmware.
Ur ph bricked..try to flash it again..

Please help.. Updated my T-Mobile GS4 to 4.3 and tried to fix the root access that was ruined by update.. Seemed to root ok, but custom recovery wouldn't stick.. keeps reverting back to stock... I read that a fix was to just "re-name" the system/etc/install-recovery.sh file to resolve the issue... I remembered doing this for a different phone with similar problem without a hitch.. Renamed "system/etc/install-recovery.sh" to "system/etc/fix-annoying.bug" Not only did this renaming fail to resolve problem, but it was causing new ones Can't even install custom recovery now... So I simply tried to change name back to normal, and look for a different fix for the custom recovery problem. But "now" I'm stuck with problems in that "etc" directory.. It seems I was able to rename the "install-recovery.sh" file back to normal, but ever since making the changes I can't install the custom recovery at all.. Renaming appeared to restore the install-recovery.sh file, but it left a residual copy of that "fix-annoying.bug" file in the "etc" directory... I tried to delete it, but the system attempts to delete it, but just freezes/hangs on the "delete" operation until I perform a battery pull... So now, I can't even install a custom recovery.. before renaming that file I could at least flash the custom recovery.. Yes it would quickly revert back to stock, but at least it would install... Now I can't even perform the install.. I assume it's because the system/etc files are messed up... Is there a way to replace them with "stock" versions of those files or that directory? already tried restoring phone to factory but that process doesn't affect those files... any help would be greatly appreciated.
It would be best for you to just Odin back to stock

DEVIANT DEVELOPMENT
I recently tried a tethering hack I found on here after installing the Android 4.3 OTA update. The thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732262&page=11. The specific hack I used was from user BlvJohn. He created a flashable zip file and I flashed it and afterwards my phone failed to boot. My phone is rooted and running TWRP recovery (latest version).
Steps I completed:
1. downloaded zip file to flash to desktop computer
2. made a copy of the file and renamed it to org_no_tether.zip
3. opened org_no_tether.zip so I could delete the new framework-res.apk file
4. copied my phone's current framework-res.apk file to the org_no_tether directory I created when unzipping file using droid explorer to access file
5. rezipped org_no_tether directory to org_no_tether.zip
6. placed both files on my external sd card
7. flashed
When I rebooted it just hung during the AT&T boot animation sequence. I tried wiping the cache, user data, dalvik cache, etc...to try and get it to boot to no avail. I ended up just having to reinstall the ROM using a zip file I found on these forums and everything runs great now. The file I used to reinstall the ROM via recovery was loserskaters found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47816011&postcount=18http://. Everything works great now but I'd still like to get the tethering hack.
In the instructions it said to copy the file to the external sd card so that's what I did, but what I'm wondering is if I was supposed to copy it to my sdcard instead where I place all other files to be flashed? I just wanted to be sure I didn't do something else wrong before I go through this process again and end up having the same result.
Thanks a lot for any help!
