Ok so I got the phone few months back and it already had ViperX Rom installed. I didn't know much about rooting so this is my first go at it .
I got the Airplane Mode stuck on turning off problem with unknown IMEI and saw that installing stock RUU help some people so I tried that.
Tried a few times to no avail and tried installing CM Rom too but got stuck on boot screen .
The HTC RUU exe gets stuck on sending. I can't do anything with my phone now so please help.

Disable any virusscanners, re-download the RUU (maybe incomplete), reboot your PC and run the RUU in Administrator mode (if possible)
Make sure you have an stock recovery (of 3.14.401.31) and phone re-locked.
Good luck (it should work for you, looking at your output of "fastboot getvar all" result)

You can goto recovery from hboot, if you just see a red triangle with an exclamation mark above a phone, you have a stock recovery. Else you have to goto the firmware thread, download the proper firmware, unzip it and flash that recovery.img, but you can only do that if you are unlocked, and after that you have to re-lock to run the RUU.

Hy everione, I flash my One X whit a rom (skydragon) i think, them in the start my phone restarts, and turn off and restarts and dont stop. I try to solve the problem in Recovery and becouse im noob I delete ALL in the memory, now the One X starts and stay stop in the Logo, I dont know how put another rom or do something, PLS I need help.
THXX
1-BOOTLOADER:
Open your bootloader - hold vol down and power button for 15 seconds
check that your Hboot version is less than 1.23 (1.12 or lower) and your bootloader is UNLOCKED, if not then you have to read more
flash a custom recovery(like CWM) from fastboot fastboot flash recovery C:/....recovery.img
Find your(skydragon) zip file, and you will find a boot.img file inside it, copy it to your computer
Flash the boot.img you copied to your computer fastboot flash boot C:/...boot.img
2-RECOVERY and INSTALL
go to the recovery from the bootloader, mount USB storage and place the zip on the SD
Install zip from sd, find your rom and install it
clear cache
3-Restart your device and everything should work
note: it might take time to load first time
If your bootloader is 1.23/1.28/1.31/1.33 then you might have errors after installing(but the same method will also work)
I tried that, but when I go to put usb storage says a error , I cant put nothim in the memory, i tri to instal a ruu but im not find the correct
there is a ruu that works in all??? i dont know my cid .
thxx
what error you are getting ? and type this in bootloader to know which ruu to use : fastboot getvar mainver
edit: try reflashing the latest CWM recovery
Error 155.in the ruu
what is the mainversion and your bootloader version ? type fastboot getvar all to see all your phone's info

Hi Vcek, I'm facing a similar situation as well. I flashed my phone using ARHD 14.2. Found out later that it does not support my phone. Wrong CID (Yes, did not read carefully and did a noob job on it.). Found out from others that I can return back to a previous ROM which I have. Problem was that I could not mount my USB drive. Gave me message "Unable to load usm lunfiles..." something like that. So I was then advised to perform a "Fastboot flash recovery recovery.zip". Did that and got the following:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.zip
sending 'recovery' (532446 KB)... OKAY [ 72.375s]
writing 'recovery'... INFOFormat partition SOS done
FAILED (remote: (0000000a))
finished. total time: 72.602s
When I returned to the bootloader, This time round, I cannot even enter recovery mode. It just loops back to the first screen of the bootlader. Selecting HBOOT, some messages flashed saying that "Failed to open sdcard, dalvik cache, etc, etc.
I then tried to load back the latest 5.8.4.0 CWM using "fastboot flash recovery cwm 5.8.5.0,img". It gave me another error "error: cannot load 'cmw 5.8.4.0.img"
My bootloader information is as follows:

Hi im new here and would like some advice,
i have a HTC One X with CID TMOB005 (UK T-Mobile) and am stuck in a recovery loop, if you try to boot the phone normally it just gets to the beats logo and reboots, now i have tried to flash with RUU but will not recognize the phone but it can be seen running the fastboot cmd. i think its because its an old RUU im in need of;
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_TMO_UK_1.29.110.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260731_signed.exe
but cant find a download stable anywhere!
Is there a way round this any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Have you flashed a custom rom?
Not as yet anything i need to flash with custom rom? and where would i obtain a custom ROM?, i have extracted the rom.zip from the Old RUU and tried to fastboot flash bit getting error code when flashing the system.img..
Put the rom.zip together with fastboot files. Then go to fastboot and type 'fastboot oem rebootRUU', then type 'fastboot flash zip rom.zip'
The RUU should flash. Just will take a few minute to send the zip and flash.
But before you do that that, check your main version by typing 'fastboot getvar all' and see the version, if it's still like 1.29 or 1.28 then you can flash the RUU.

Still having same problem! anyone else think they got a solution?
You could always try unlocking via htc dev then flash custom recovery and a custom rom.
Yeah, since your RUU is impossible to find, you must flash a custom ROM and it'll be all good, but you won't be able to return to stock eternally, until someone uploads their stock nanodroid backup or a RUU is leaked somewhere.
I don't understand, how are you in a bootloop if you haven't unlocked it?
Have you tried factory reset?

Have the same phone with same settings and was about to start using this AAHK. Luckily I didn't yet.
Pls let me know how it ended up as I am very interested in not finding myself in the same situation.
Naive question: Does this kit have to perform a downgrade from GB 2.3.5 in the process?
Thanks for your precious help

Just try NOT to factory reset during the proces... I did that and was foced to flash RUU - it solved the problem easily.
Since I had GB 2.3.5. stock I had to downgade first, and AAHK did that. Just read and carefully folow the manual...

ok, you don't have to worry. The Kit works flawlessly if you follow the manual. As you were told, factory reseting the phone is a huge mistake and might get you into troubles. Getting stuck in the splash screen means that the kit failed due to connectivity issues. You just need to re run it from that white screen....
Downgrade is almost automatically, but you need to follow some instructions on screen. As long as you read carefully and follow commands nothing has to worry you. If you get stuck, you can just hit the Hack Kit IRC channel or post a question in here (I am in both places) and I will lend you a hand. :good:
aahk-11092012 + Win7 x64 works OK

Thanks very very much glevitan for your help. I finally made it alone (after a few difficulties). See other forum (comment 6402 redips.net - root-htc-desire-hd) where I posted my adventure

you are S-OFF, the RUU should be flashing fine. Get me a getvar all from fastboot usb.
Boot in hboot and plug the phone to the pc, if you see HBOOT USB PLUG in the phone press power button to toggle to fastboot usb and then in a cmd in the PC type:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Delete the IMEI and paste the outcome in here.

You are S-OFF, however your CID number is the AT&T one. Anyway, you can flash a custom recovery and then a custom rom to see what happens.
Follow the guide in my signature to find out how to do that. It is easy and you shouldn't have issue unless there is a hardware issue.

Like I said, you don't need to unlock the bootloader. You actually can't with S-Off. Is your phone in fastboot mode when you try to flash the recovery?
Hello everyone, i was using DEV edition of Loli but today for some reason ive lost signal, the network shows unavailable, tried using SIM on iPhone that i had around working fine. Tried restoring to factory still same problem. So now want to send this back to Three or HTC for warranty but want to restore to Three UK factory firmware. Any tips?
my device Unlocked and S-Off
I'm getting FAILED (remote: 32 header error) when flashing from oem RUU screen
What is your current CID?

If you're trying to flash the RUU ZIP you HAVE to use htc_fastboot.exe as the Google fastboot file can't flash the ZIP. You can get it here (I pulled it from the latest EU RUU)
at the moment i'm flashing from SD card, that finds that file automatically. my CID is 111111
When my network reception disappeared i was listening to spottily din't do anything to the phone and din't install anything that required Root for 3-4 weeks, not sure what happened
So tried that method still no luck, hopefuly they will take it in warranty
Post your fastboot getvar all (minus serial no. & imei no.)
I believe you need x.xx.771.x ROM and firmware version because your device is H3G, and I have all versions x.xx.771.x backups

You need SuperSU installed to run that lock command
If you still have TWRP installed (not sure about other custom recovery), you can boot to recovery then run that command while in recovery (this way you don't need SuperSU installed)
just run adb shell
then that echo part
(only two commands)

With this EU WWE details, I don't know whether Three UK will accept your device under warranty ... someone else need to advise you as I'm not familiar with that region.
In my region ... if I have other Asia ROM even with LOCKED & S-ON status, they still cannot accept because the IMEI is registered under ASIA WWE which is x.xx.707.x
I'm in recovery now, but trying and getting this: error: device not found
Just to double check in bootloader i just select Recovery? or wait does it have to be Unofficial Recovery or HTC one?
This phone is going in HTC not Three so dont think that should cause any problems?
Sorted thanks, my device was showing Relocked so had to unlock it again. but now it shows Locket, now just need to get SD card and reinstall system, and send it to HTC only thing i have is S-Off so hope HTC wont be picky about this, because when i spoke to Support staff he did mention that unlocked bootloader will void warranty so not sure how to take on this
My m8 could not take updates. I bought IT used 2 years ago. Today i did read som turtorials and installed android 6 google play edition. Everything works really well, beside that i cannot use wifi. I a message that IT cannot load the driver. How can I get the driver to my wifi to work?
How did you install GPE, by RUU or just flashed a ROM?
Do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number before posting) so we can see more info about the phone.
Ruu,I'm sorry, I am a total noob when it comes to this. I rooted the phone, installed twpr. In twpr I did a format like I Reed in a guide, clicked install, selected the Android 6 file. I do not have a Google play edition of the phone. The phone is European, Norwegian...

That means you just flashed a ROM, and your firmware (hboot, radio, etc.) is probably not compatible with the ROM. I'll still need the fastboot getvar all output to tell for sure, and help further.
I did open fastboot, typed adb devices to check that the phone is connected, and then fastboot getvar all, it just say waiting for devece for minutes without nothing happends

adb devices will tell you if adb can connect, but not necessarily fastboot. Any response to fastboot devices?
Try to re-install HTC Sync, try another USB port, or another cable.
I have tried another cable and port, no good,. btw when i open supersu that got installed automaticly with android 6 it says no SU binary installed
Are you in bootloader, with fastboot selected (highlighted in red) when issuing the fastboot getvar all command? This is the only mode fastboot commands work.
thank u i opend bootloader and did get fastboot usb in red and typed fastboot getvar all

As I suspected, the above indicates your firmware is very out of date, and that is what is breaking your WiFi.
See the following thread for instructions on how to update your firmware (I prefer Method #2) and necessary files: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792
Flash the full stock firmware 4.16.401.13 or 6.12.401.4..
Stock firmware will overwrite recovery and kernel (with stock versions), so you'll need to unlock your bootloader, flash TWRP again, and flash the GPE ROM again.
thank u very much for all youre help=) i have to go to work night shift, i will try it tomorrow

Be sure to backup your personal data before trying any of this. Also, you'll need to relock the bootloader to flash the firmware. Relock with the command: fastboot oem lock
But be advised, that this will render our phone unable to boot.
Actually, looking at the thread I linked, I'm not sure if the stock firmwares are signed or not. If they are unsigned, they won't run on your s-on device. If that is the case, run one of the full RUUs (will wipe the phone, so like I said, backup your data before starting any of this):
