Has any HTC 8S user have installed GDR 2 or GDR3 (tester version) on device and after the update, phone is getting random reset issue ? Has anyone get any solution or idea about this issue ?
Hi, it happened to me only once. Exactly the night, when I have installed GDR3. I said, only once. Reason is unknown for me. Except this one reset, no other issues for me. Try hard reset. Could help you.

i tried hard reset but phone didnt accept it. I tried it with button combination ( vol down-up-power etc.. ) is it true ?
I would suggest to make hard reset from the system - Settings - About phone - Reset. No reason not to work.

Make a hard reset and see if it is like when u installed it 3months back. It should be unless u made changes to /system.
If u find it good after hard reset then the issue must be due to the 3rd party apps u installed.

Hi all..
I recently got my HTC One X and unlocked the bootloader, installed Clockwordmod followed by flashing a couple of different ones to see which one I liked.. (All of them are snappy, feel & look great...)
Where the problem lies is when I try to play a game or watch a video (aka accessing the gpu) the system instantly freezes and then reboots..
This problem never occurred using the stock software only became apparent when I started using customs.
It happens with all games I've tried...
Problem is now what shall i do? I made the foolish error of not backing up my stock ICS.
My phone is unbranded, so perhaps I could use someone elses unbranded stock rom to revert back to?
Shall I unroot? Pretty bloody worried to be honest... what if i've broke it?
Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey thanks for replying so fast.
I was just looking for what you suggested and cannot find it anywhere in the development section nor in the "everything htc one x" thread...
Am I being blind?
Also, do I just flash it like a normal room? (e.g. put it on my internal memory and flash through recovery?)
Thanks again

I'm sorry Adam but that link requires me to have 10 posts or more. It must be in a special section then?
I'm going to try and be helpful for a few posts instead of being lazy!

Thanks.. just realised this is the rom I am running on now and the problem is still persistent.
Just games and videos it seems.
I am not sure about superwipe..
I always wipe data & cache when I installed a new rom... different thing?
What do you think now?

Superwipe wipes the system as well, going between different ROMs without doing this may be the cause of your issues. Back up and try it out

Cool thanks, going to try it.
EDIT: haha, where the hell is superwipe?
Seems I can only find it for sensation?

Adam, thank you for helping this far.
I have completed a superwipe along with clearing cache and wiping data, reinstalling stock rom and no luck. the problem still occurs... open up a game and it instantly freezes and reboots itself.
Argh, my stomach feels rough...
What do you think i should do now?
edit: just a quick update, have tried various roms and the problem occurs in all. superwiped everytime as well. i think its a problem with the gpu...
in the mean time if anyone else could chime in with any ideas/help would be v.grateful..
otherwise should i send phone back?

If you send the phone for repairs HTC will claim the mainboard needs changing and try to charge you several hundred for it because your bootloader is unlocked.
Try going to settings>developer options and toggling force GPU rendering

Have tried this too, no luck.
Any other ideas? The phone works perfect apart from this...
It's a new contract phone and comes with a 30 day fault return, couldn't I unroot it and give that a go? Would they know?.
Bump for this one last time before I try and get it replaced.
Any thing else I can do?
Hi - my problem is trying to delete redundant contacts- but 1st let me say, I am rooted and running custom Rom . However, the issue has been going on for 4-6 months.
what I do is long press on the contact name, and it will delete, but when trying to delete another redundant contact, the contact function
will force close, and the phone goes back to lockscreen mode.
I did download catlog, and sent the log to one individual ( software pro )
but the issue was never properly resolved. Yes- this issue is probably due to the custom rom, ( not trying to bash anyone, so wont mention rom name..) but I would like to find the cause of this glitch.. any ideas ?
note- I have wiped the phone with calkulins full wipe... but NOT the hard reset.

hi have searched the forum and looked through Q &A .
I put PACman PRIMOU:GSM 19.3a with HELLBOY kernel (HTC one V) everything was working ,however after a while the volume would mute were as if I made a call no sound if I changed ringtone etc no sound comes out no alarm sounds either I did click to settings -system then clicked on volume rocker but nothing if I reset the phone the volume would restore itself. I don't have this issue if i use a different ROM. Any help thank you.
I tries with panandriod similar thing happening but not all the time and some files not playing when before they were

Ok tried cm10 happened again once . I think something may be wrong with the phone typical....anyone got the ruu for this phone for CID 001 H3G
Sent from my One V using Tapatalk 2
If this is happening on multiple roms it could very well be the phone itself malfunctioning.
Have you tried doing a full wipe before installing the rom?
Full wipe then installed cm10 then did a new backup but when i tried installing from that backup it reinstalled panadriod so yeah could be picking up from previous install. I have now wiped fully three times before the new install it doesn't seem to have brought anything over hopefully should work better.

Hello together,
I got a strange problem with my new HTC M9.
Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but then it startet to lag extremly.
There are mini freezes every few seconds. Sometimes i have to wait 2 seconds for the system to continue... It appears after a fresh restart and with all apps close.
I wanna ask here, before doing a reset and loosing all my settings.
Btw it is a stock unrooted phone (1.32.161.15).
I could not find a topic for this. Noone else experience lags like this?
Thank you!
Regards
Sebastian
yes it will remove everything on the internal storage but im not sure about the sd card. just do a back up while its still working.
