Help me I cannot update my software it keeps stuck at preparing to install 100%
For me it took approx. 15 minutes at that percentage. Be patient. If not, make reboot, hard reset and start the update again.

My Galaxy \Nexus won't boot....Perpetual flash screen
I got a notice of several (around 16) apps with updates this afternoon. They were very slow to update (I think the AT&T bandwidth was horrible) My phone rebooted -- which it has about 5-6 times in the past two weeks since I got it.
On immediate reboot, I was getting System UI stopped, report ?
After about 2-3 reboots like that, I am now on the tiled flash screen after the Google intro after reboot.
I've removed the battery several times. I've tried with and without the SIM card. I've tried with a power connector connected...nothing.
This has been going on for over an hour.
I'm very frustrated.
I had the same issue, i have relocked the boot loader and I'm going to take it back tomorrow for an exchange. I was getting to the google logo and then it just reboots back to the google logo even time. I tried a nandroid restore, didn't work, i tried to wipe every thing it still wouldn't boot. Now it just stays with the google logo on screen.
I also had the System UI stopped a lot around 8 times a day.
Hmmmm
Please help....I got the notice for the OTA and I selected next for it to start. The next screen said the phone will reboot in 5 seconds and it started to shut down. Now it has been stuck on the goobye screen with the touch buttons lit up for the last 10 min.
Is this normal? What do I do?
you will have to remove the battery restart the phone and update through kies if you are rooted you will have to reroot the phone thats what happen to mine
I am not rooted....completely stock. It just got stuck

Check this thread or this one also.
The guy waited 25 minutes and then the phone restarted with the new update.Just be patient and wait.I`ve waited approx. 10/15 min. for mine.
Yesterday, my phone started to freeze randomly. I would hit the wake button and nothing would happen, I would have to hold power for about 15s or remove the battery to reboot. The times between freezes got shorter and shorter until today when it would never make it to the OS. It would either go to a reboot loop or sit stuck with the Galaxy S III logo on screen.
I was able to boot into recovery, I wiped the Dalvik Cache and then rebooted. The phone got into the part where it updated apps but after waiting for than 20 minutes for it to update app 29 of 29, I pulled the battery and rebooted to recovery.
This time I wiped the normal cache and rebooted but it didn't make it to android.
I rebooted to recovery and did a factory reset, then rebooted. The phone powered off and would not power back on at all. The battery was at about 40% when this happened, I think. It was plugged in for the last 4 hours but it still won't start.
Is there anything I can do?

No, I even took it to someone with a USB jig. I've mailed it off to someone on ebay with a Riff box to see if they can fix it. In the mean time, I bought a Nexus 5 on craigslist and couldn't be happier.
So I go boot up my phone it will sit on the HTC logo with the red lettering I have a custom Romalso but It will sit on that screen for 5 minutes before it go black and onto my Rom there is no boot animation that pops up and I can take screenshot and it's like the phone is fully booted up but that white HTC screen will sit on there and 5 minutes later I can use my phone I really need son help with this also I need a stock rom
Same boat....
Make sure your firmware is up to date for the Rom you are on. Search how to flash firmware.. vomers guide. Wrong firmware can create very long boot times.
