Hi PROS,
I am in a deep problem and new to android world....I rooted my phone through galay note II toolkit...everything was fine until I installed this font application, rebooted my phone and stuck on samsung blinking logo screen...
I tried ODIN to put my phone back to factory with stick ROM but not sure...I have tried the ROMS in recovery folder and in Root folder as well (my phone is Rogers wireless I3I7M and build: JRO03C.I317MVLALJ2)...there are different file names with .tar extensions some starts with recovery-stock and some are stock-x...ODIN pushes the files, phone reboots and stuck on that samsung logo....initially I rooted it with TWRP recovery mothod and now when I go to recovery screen via button combo it goes to android recovery screen (the blue text one)....
all I want is to put the phone back to stock ROM and root again thats all....
I need ur help in this regards as suggestions or redirect me to a resource from where I can solve this issue.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi and thanks a bunch for the reply....
the battery reset part didin't work...I have tried the method you mentioned the easy method...where you push the CWM recovery file to the device through ODIN...now I hvae the CWM based recovery v6.0.1.4, I have factory reset the devvice through CWM as well and rebooted the phone through there..but still stuck on samsung logo..I think the phone doesn't have any ROM to boot from...I have the stock .tar file for this phone but how should I send it to phone? CWM says to 'install .zip/update file" from external sd card...
my stock file is .tar and it has boot.img inside...also if anyone know a place where I can find my ROM, please tell me that as well....
please tell me what should I do now...waiting for your reply...
Dude just use the emergency recovery vie kies, return to stock.
If possible. Save all cwm files to computer. If you were smart you made a backup image to you ext sd or recovery image we.
Gonna be a huge file be about ten min to save to pc.
Save the entire cwm folder. Yes everything .
Save to your pc.
Use kies emergency recovery.
Re root phone.
Install cwm recovery.
Make a recovery img.(jic you f.u. again lol)
Now put ext sd card in phone
Boot to recovery and try the recovery images again.
If nothing else your phone should be back to stock.
Worked for my gs3.

How would kies is gonna recognize the phone if its not booting? also does kies would have my stock ROM?...also please let me know if I have a .tar file which is my stock rom how do I push it to the device?
kies
kies is not recognizing the phone as it is stuck on samsung logo....it seems like it doesn't have any ROM image to boot from...if I have the .tar file that has .img how would I push it to the device?..

Do exactly as I say.
Download a sock rom from here. Link:-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696&highlight=cf+autoroot
After downloading go into donwload mode by pressing volume down+home button+ power key(in this order)
Connect phone via USB and open ODIN.
VIa the PDA option browse to the stock rom you downloaded and click Start and then wait till the rom is flashed. This should do it,
After flashing download this for rooting and extract the file to tar

LOL. Zeeshan calling Zeeshan
On a more serious note, i have the International version of Note 2 so dont know much about other variants.
Sorry
There are 2 variants of the Note 2. GT7100 and GT7105. Which one do you have exactly? Go into settings, about device, and Model number....
After you determine which one you have, unless it is a carrier specific one from America, just flash the stock gt7105 one or the gt7100 one from here...

Yo dude sorry I misunderstood what you said, for w/e reason i thought your recovery was borked and not that you were bricked.
SO listen first off dont be afraid of using odin, its not rocket science and you wont bork it up anymore than it already is.
out of curiosity do you happen to use rom manager?
IF so ditch that pos ap, and just stick with recovery like the cwm or twrp.
i found this for you and hope it helps you out.
keep searching and trying dont give up youll get it eventually.
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-tutorials/how-to-unrootunbrick-galaxy-note-2-with-stock-firmware/
basically what the poster above me said, you're only going to be able to do recovery via odin.
its not a big deal just follow instructions.
hope the link helps.
I was installing a font with a program named Font Manager on my Galaxy Note II and it told me to reboot, so when I rebooted, it got stuck on the Samsung Logo. I wanted to install the original fonts with ADB but then I saw that the android recovery is opening. I don't know why it doesn't open, I tried all combinations and only volume+ and power button did something(except for volume- and powerbutton that goes to download mode) and I'm pretty sure it has to open the recovery but it doesn't reach the Samsung Logo when I press those buttons, it goes to the Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 logo and then something weird happens. The logo gets disorted and another logo appears. then it gets restarted.
I am rooted.
I don't want to install a custom ROM, and I don't think I can either, because I can't go to any recovery.
I tried installing CWM and TWRP to reset from there, but, the same problem happens; I can't even reach the samsung logo.
And also, when I pull out the battery it automatically turns on so I have to do everything faaaaaaaaast.
I don't want to download the stock ROM because it's like 1GB and my net is very slow. Right now I'm getting the toolbox so maybe it can do something.
Can I do something like install the default fonts from Odin? PLEASE HELP

Only available option is download stock ROM and flash it and once done you will have to then ROOT and get custom ROM,
Even the tool kit wont be of any help in this situation.
I am getting the Stock ROM now, but, why doesn't recovery work on my phone?

This is a common issue most of the times if its in Bootloop you may not be able to get into recovery , Technically even i dont know reason behind this it could be that the stock recovery may be corrupted .

But not even CWM or TWRP works.
I searched the forums and Didn't find any answers that were helpful..So i am opening a thread..
I am using a huwaei ascend p6 using android 4.2.2, not sure about the kernel versions..
My phone suddenly restarted and is stuck at the android logo ..Its not booting up , it keeps restarting when i press the power button. I can access the recovery mode..
Can the experts please guide me on how i can get my phone to boot up and working..?
Download the update file and put it on a sdcard and in the phone, then install through recovery. The steps were discussed in detail recently, look around a bit.
ps: You will use your data.
Good luck!
Or do a factory reset from stock recovery. To boot on it press and hold all three HW keys or with > adb reboot recovery command from a PC.

I have tried the factory reset , but shows failed to mount the data

This thread in particular has all the links and tools in one place. Also there are other usefull threads in the General subforum.
I haven't dealt with a bricked phone, and thus don't want to give you any false instructions and complicating the situation any further. I am running the B125 firmware, I think it's pretty good, if not the best so far.
I have been searching through the forums ALL DAY for my specific problem.
I have 4.3 rooted phone. I am stuck on the Blank Black screen after the logo appears. I am able to go to into touch recovery and download mode, but phone is not connecting to PC via USB.
I tried wipe data, factory reset, taking battery out, reinstalling cwm recovery touch using odin...Still Blank.
Please Help or Please direct me to any Help or Advice.
Thank You.

Can you give more details to what you have you installed on your phone prior to encountering this issue? Is your phone official upgraded to 4.3 and then rooted?or you rooted it when on 4.1.2 and downloaded a custom 4.3 ROM? Which ROM are you trying to flash?which recovery are you using?

Hello everyone,
Today showed up on my Gpad an update that automatically started to download.
So I thought ''if it is downloading, why don't I give it a try?''
Big mistake.
I am rooted with TWRP 2.7.0.0 and stock 4.4.2 rom..
My Gpad after I press confirm it tried to reboot. After the device shut down and try to power on, it stuck in a bootloop on TWRP.
Every time I try to power it off and then power it back on it starts on TWRP and stay there even if I press reboot on TWRP it does the same loop.
After this idiotic move of mine I would like to have help from someone who knows how to restore the device..
Also is there any way to restore the device in TWRP or to do the update manually from the file that is already downloaded in my device
(from TWRP)?
Any help would be very very appreciated!

Did you not make a back up after rooting your tablet? If so, simply restore from your backup.
generally, it is advised that before you update a rooted device's ROM, to create a nandroid backup first, just to be sure. As OTA's from non-OEM's aren't as stable as OEM's, nor do they provide warranty if you get stuck in a boot loop. To fix the issue, download your ROM image to the "root" of your microSD, go to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik cache, then try to install the ROM image. If it still fails, I'm afraid you may need to do a fresh install (wipe the device fully, before making a fresh install of your ROM.). This should fix your problem, though you loose your data. Unfortunately, thats one of the risks of modifying our devices. One that I had to learn the hard way (by hard, I mean hard brick).
At any rate, hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply guys!
I have not made a backup of my files.
So now I'm downloading slimkat for a little change..
(also is there a way to create a backup of my files with TWRP and restore them on Slimkat?)
[UPDATE]
I wiped cache / dalvik and then install the Slimkat ROM but the same problem persists, then I did a factory reset from TWRP
and then install the ROM, but still the same
Is there any way to unroot your device from the PC?

I don't have my tablet with me to check for you, however, I am pretty sure I found a file explorer within TWRP. Perhaps you may be able to copy from there. Explore the tool abit its quite user friendly and well made. Otherwise, you can make a nandroid backup to create a full backup of your system and try to extract from PC via WinRAR (if the backup is in tar), or some explorer app... see below for details:

Thanks for the tip, I'm sure it will help me in a future failure!
I have already done everything you said without succeeding anything ,so I'm trying to un-brick it with LG's support tool
and I can not get it to recognize my connected Gpad, so I put manually the model and serial number but still it can't see any connected devices...
Now I'm 100% stuck :/

sorry for what happened. have you tried to wipe all data, and all cache then try to do a fresh rom installation? I am not sure why LG cannot see your device. But a wild guess is its something about your recovery because its no longer stock perhaps???
if you can reach recovery, you should be able to fix the issue by wiping all the data (except external SD), wiping all cache (including dalvik), then install your custom ROM. Have happened to me already although different cause from yours but I was still able to restore it although I did loose all my data. But as I said before, its the price to pay for tinkering with our devices.
Hello guys,
Same problem for me, Stock 4.4.2 with TWRP, the OTA update make my GPad boot only on TWRP, no way to get my system back.
I try this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2772902
Successful My GPad is booting correctly on Android !
Damn!! I read to late your answer, I install a couple of minutes ago the complete stock 4.4.2 V50020d from LG's support tool.
In a previous post I said I was stuck but not really.. I forgot that I have to press volume + and volume - while connectiong the USB cable to enter download mode
But everyone having the same problem with me should really give a try to what JaymZ37 said above.
Peace to everyone and thanks for your replies!

Yesterday its hapen to me the same ptoblem.......
after searching i fount the soloution and they work perfect !!!!
>>>>>>>
I saw this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...load-mode.html
"What worked for me was from the TWRP terminal command to the Root folder and was type
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
(they have space on ....... dd_if=/dev/zero_of=dev....... only)
then hit enter
type
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
(the same here)
then hit enter and reboot."
<<<<<<<<<
Here's the original solution given in our forum:
[FIX] Installed TWRP and now you're stuck after OTA?
And the additional command was given in this post by brentkhack:
What worked for me was from the TWRP terminal command was to type
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
then hit enter
type
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
then hit enter and reboot.
got help from the IRC xda-devs for the second step to complete the fix.
