you can't backup recovery. You can backup the rom but not the recovery. And if you asked this question and if you read the forum you will understand you may lose your warranty. You need to flash custom recovery but for this you must to unlock your bootloader. And when you unlock you lose your warranty. It is bether to do nothing with your phone before to read most of the important thread here and if you don't whont to lose your warranty. And the link in the first post is the same like your ROM

As additional info :
A backup of a non unlocked phone is useless, you can't install it back on it anyway.... (Need to be unlocked and have a custom recovery) only useful thing to get back to stock on a phone with a locked bootloader is a ruu. But that is not out there (the 4.18.401)
Stock recovery's can be taken out of official OTA zip files from HTC.

HOX Soft Brick

I have, unfortunately, soft bricked my phone and need a bit of advice in loading the new RUU.
I am trying to flash the stock RUU : RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.14.707.3_Radio_2.1204.123.18_release_270370_signed

the modelid and cidnum match , but the mainver and hboorpreupdate do not.
My hboot version is 1.36, which i believe was updated with the JB OTA update. I'm using stock recovery and bootloader has been relocked.
When trying to apply the above RUU I get the following error:
bootloader version error
Mind you it was still able to wipe my phone (including all my clockwork backups )

Sure is
You can't flash an older RUU.
If you need to run RUU, you need RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.24_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_296434_signed.exe
You can get if from HERE or HERE
Base on your hboot version i assume u are already on Jb. But the ruu u try to flash is ics ruu. Try to find jb ruu.

So Do you have the HTC RUU exe ?
Turn it on --> click next --> go to temp folder (my computer documents and settings local settings temp ) and copy rom.zip --> add it on the sd card and install rom by the recovery ( If you have cwm recovery) wipe everything and reboot and you have pure stock

Make a full wipe, then relock the bootloader and run the ruu with admin rights from the pc to the phone that is in the bootloader !
thank you very much for your help and sorry for putting it in the wrong place.

[Q] Radio not working after flashing

Hello.
My radio (WiFi, 3G, etc.) does not work after flashing custom ROM (ARHD 33.1)
This was my first time with HOX as my warranty has expired.
I have been trying to solve the issue for 5 days now. (Since Saturday) Been reading, googling, reading other posts, try by my self, followed guides and reading some more posts.
Phone: HTC One X (Tegra 3) from Vodafone UK
Recovery: CWM v6.0.4.8
Unlocked S-ON
I have tried the following:
Flash severeal other ROM including stock One_X_4.18.401.3_odexed
Trying with other recoveries, such as TWRP and other versions. (But had many issues, such as touchscreen not working)
Flashing radio from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233949
..and a lot more that I can't remember because I lack sleep because of this.

OMG!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
So simple and yet I totally didn't see this.
Never had to do this with other devices. But then again, this was my first branded device.
Thank you once again!
I followed this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752270
It can be easy sometimes
