It works for me, thanks!
Changing to US language didn't work for me. I had to defrost it in titanium backup, then it started working.
Thanks.
Is there any other apps that need defrosting? Google Wallet?
...
To answer my own question. I found the option to show frozen apps in titanium backup
So for the UK frozen were:
Google Ears - Sound Search
Google Play Magazines 1.0
Wallet 1.1-R67-v5

I got it to defrost both Google Ears and Google Play Magazines. I already had Google Wallet working Anyways, when I go to open Play Magazines, it says to look for mags in the Play Store so I click it, but it doesn't list the Magazines topic. Any help with this?

Does these apps freeze again after a reboot?
In my phone they do. I honestly only care about Sound search. In Venezuela there's no use for Books, Magazines, Movies or Wallet.
But I'd like to have Sound Search permanently enabled.
I do have the phone set to US English.
Cheers!
Hi el_charlie,
same for me - after rebooting the widget is removed and I have to defrost it again.
Did you already find a solution?
Michael
Use Package Enabler from play store. It will automatically unfreeze those apps after a reboot

Anyone know where Play Music is stored when offline?

Would like a way to change what music I have offline, app didn't seem to have a way...

I believe that they are located in /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music
and it totally sucks that you can't move it to external Sd card.

Technically there isn't supposed to be am external sd card these days, android only looks at the internal memory for app storage and what not... At least it does now

I guess it could be updated or nodded to look in both places but the mount points would be impossible to keep up with

Would it be possible to make the directory listed a symlink to a folder on the external sd card? Just a thought, I don't actually use my phone enough for music for it to be a concern to me.
The new update put my offline cache in /data/data/com.google.android.music/cache
Previously it was on sdcard/android/com.google.android.music/cache
If you are wanting to import the files. It strips the id3 tags so you will need something like "offline music importer" from the play store. And go back to the system app version of play music

The biggest problem with this is how samsung names the partitions, they when with sd card for internal and external sd card for sd card, so apps just looks for Sd cards, that's my biggest problem with this phone since I have 64 gb sd card, at least it less you saves pictures on sd card

I have my play music on my ext sdcard.
I had to do it in a round about way but it worked.
I downloaded all my music to PC and then copied all the folders onto my microsd.
When I put the micro SD in my phone, play music found it and was somehow smart enough to not double the albums (play music store and mp3s on card).
Hope this helps!

Is there any way to get music to show up when on SD card?

I want to keep my music on the micro SD card to play on my phone, however the music player does not see these files. Is there any way to get the music player to see the files on my SD card to play on the phone? This was I don't need to waste part of the 12.05GB usable space for music.

I've no problem with mine showing up. I believe I had to reboot before they did, or maybe even reload the widget, but they're all showing in my player widget.

It is very strange that I can not make any media player play media files that stores on external SD card. I tried XBMC and stock music player and mobo player and found none of them can.....any suggestions?

Is your external SD card accessible for anything else? You didn't format it to NTFS, did you?
If all failes, check out the Jet audio music player from the play store and abandon the stock player.
I'm an avid music listener and found it the best player all-round...use the plus version now!
(I have tried a lot of them)
All my music and videos are stored on sd card I don't hav to make any changes to it shows by default in my stock player.

Reformat it again, in a PC. Use ExFAT.
any chance you may have a hidden file called .nomedia or folders starting with a period on your memory card?
folders starting with a period are hidden, and any folder containing a file named .nomedia is skipped when looking for media.
if you only just added those files to your memory card you might need to manually run the media scanner.

You need not have formatted the External SD Card....
Just go to Settings>Storage and click on Unmount SD card and then click on Mount SD card again.
No need to format...not need to take out SD card.
Quick and easy.....
