ROM Manager: no ClockWorkMod rec. download?

Hi all,
just installed ROM Manager on my rooted Desire with stock rom,
wanted to backup current ROM.. it said I have to flash ClockworkMod Recovery first.
Clicking on the install, after selecting "HTC Desire" it says: "An error occurred while downloading your recovery." :|
Someone got any idea of why ?

And.. while at it.. doing a ROM backup will also save all the screens config (widgets etc.) ?

Could be an issue with the server, try reinstalling ROM manager to see if that helps.
Yes, a ROM backup will backup a complete image of your ROM allowing everything to be restored as it was before you backed up.

reinstalling didn't help.. hope is a server problem

Thanks can repport i'm getting the exact same error unfortunately it doesn't seem like there is much to do.

stuck on exclamation point
When I choose to reboot in to recovery, it reboots but newer gets past til phone/exclamations sign screen?
What am I not getting?

Did you install a custom recovery like Clockwork Mod first?

I've updated using ROM manager, and using latest version ClockworkMod 2.0.1.4, if that's what you meen?

Yep but also ensure that you have placed the ClockworkMod zip (provided in link above) to the root of your sd card and then install it via ROM Manager by choosing the 'Flash ClockworkMod Recovery' option.
You should be able to boot into the custom recovery after that.

Hi there....i seem to have the same issue....when i dump the file what is the filename?

my card is formatted in fat32...
using rom manager...paid
when i hold down volume and power it goes to boot loader but nothing happens...
when i choose recovery after a while it hangs on the htc screen....

the first thing i would say is that this is my 1st rom soo if any bugs tell me ill try and fix and i would also hope other developers also help me as i justt started this things

3. Boot into recovery - select install zip from sd card..then selct RoMdrOid 1.0.zip

NOTE:
1. Recommended for a full wipe installation if coming from any other rom

- run the initial setup wizard.
Once completed boot to recovery
- click backup and restore
- click advanced restore

Please put the variant of One V in the thread title (PrimoC, PrimoU, etc.) I'm guessing this is for the GSM version (PrimoU) , but if someone installs this on the wrong phone, it could screw them up. Looks like a decent ROM, though!

Not Yet.

I have been trying to download this ROM for the sole purpose of mirroring it. There are no seeds and the download is not making any progress. Still at 0% in ~4 hours! I suggest you invest on getting the first ROM uploaded where it is easy for others to download.

try uploading to your dropbox account. just a thought.

[Q] Stuck after flash

First of all i unlocked the bootloader the htcdev way.
Then installed cwm touch.
Downloaded my choice of rom Aokp_Evita-jb-rohan-build 3
Then flashed boot img via fastboot.
Installed rom via cwm and did whipe and all.
Now on boot it gets stuck on HTC boot logo.
Have reflashed a bunch of times.
What do i do wrong?

Try this
Fastboot boot recovery (whatever recovery).img
Then it will boot into the recovery itself then just do a full wipe and flash
Make sure u have a recovery img
In sdk folder

Evita is the codename for the dual core one x, this is the forum for the tegra3 one x. Which version do you have

Wait if you have quad-core then you do have the international version, but you're trying to flash something meant for the dual core version

it's probably possible to send a zip-file via usb through the recovery to the sd-card. which custom recovery do you use?

I will try that when im home from work.
I'm using Clockworkmod. Dont remember version right now.
I tried putting the phone in mass-storage via cwm. No reaction. :-/

When you go to mounts and storage in cwm and select mount usbcard, you should see it on your pc with cwm 5.8.4.0.

Yes. I bought It in Sweden.
12Gb:s free space in internal sd. So i believe its a 16gb:s version. But in general Sweden is sneaky but it was cheap. About 160euro.. so im not complaining

Some of you are curious about KitKat and CM11, so I thought I'd share an early build I put together.
Consider it a preview, since the cell data and calls do not function in this release.
There is nothing left in the rom that will cause any unwanted harm to your device or the radio, so do not be concerned with that.
If you are worried about that or think you might wanna throw darts at me if anything happens to your phone, then don't flash this!

Installing ClockworkMod Touch Recovery:
Download - Clockworkmod Touch
Put your deice into fastboot mode: Power and volume down until the white menu screen appears.
Then select fastboot by pressing the power button.
The image is then easily installed via an unlocked bootloader with the following command:

fastboot flash recovery imagename.img
For example, recovery named CW_touch_recovery:
fastboot flash recovery CW_touch_recovery.img
The image must be in your fastboot working directory.
If you need more specific help with unlock/recovery flashing you can use this guide.

Yeah thanks, you're right, sorry about that.
I forgot, the new metadata that gets written, needs cwm to be able to read the script properly.
So you will have to use CWM Recovery.
I had been using TWRP as well, but since making these builds, I switched and forgot about that altogether.
Was trying to tweak a version of cwm a bit as well...

To build updated twrp u need cm source. Which I haven't done yet so. If @santod040 can do it that would be great

Won't install no matter what, tried 3 times, wiped everything using CWM 6.0.4.4 - bad file all 3 times

I found an easier way to flash a recovery by using an app called flashify . you can flash recovery in that if you try flashing back twrp

Great work...thank you...Shouldn't it say [ROM][KK4.4] not [ROM][JB4.4]?

Odd, perhaps stupid question, but, would 4.4 gapps work with cm10?

When I install this using CWM recovery, I get the following message: "This package is for \"m7wlv,m7vzw\" devices; this is a m7ul" It then error's out. I've run into issues like this in the past, and I have usually edited the "updater-script" to remove the assert statements at the beginning of the script, which then will allow the ROM to install. But in this case, when I try and update the file inside the download, I get an error and 7zip won't let me update the file
Any ideas?
