Take the recovery .tar file from here according to your firmware (4.1.2 or 4.2.2) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315529
Then follow this step by step instructions : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46395577&postcount=19
This will have to be done each time you flash a firmware through Odin.
If after flashing you get a bootloop, simply boot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache and you'll be good :good:

Yea same will work for i9082L, just make sure the recovery you are using is compatible with 4.1.2 or 4.2.2, whichever you are flashing it on.
You can flash CM10.1 through any recovery you are using (but CM10.1 only works on 4.1.2 firmware)

Could I Put this on the sdcard instead of the internal memory?
Also this is what it says when ever i try to flash CM 10.1 or any other ROM
Finding update package...
Opening update Package...
Installing update...
Install from sdcard complete.
Then when I reboot the phone it stays at the Samsung Galaxy Grand page.

Yes you can put it on sd card.
Make sure you are on 4.1.2 before installing CM10.1, if you are not that's the reason for your bootloop.
And wipe data/cache/dalvik before flashing CM10.1 or any other ROM.
Still doesnt work. :crying:
It was stock 4.1.2, then I tried to update it to 4.2.2 using ODIN but it failed (This is the reason why i'm trying to install CM 10.1).
Is the phone 4.2.2 or 4.1.2?

Your firmware flash failed in the middle? If this happened you need to reflash the 4.1.2 firmware before you can flash any ROM on it.

Do you know where to get the firmware? Or a guide I can follow? Most download links are from hotfile and it shut down.
Thanks for helping btw.

Hi
Try to flash your B510 custom and flash with adb the B510 stock recovery in the second post here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709353 .

Because if you flash TWRP (for KK) then a stock recovery B118 (for JB) it's normal it's don't work. And if I don't say something wrong B118 is a chinese version.
Good luck
Ok i'll try this now....
Edit :
Flash recovery.img via fastboot ..... same result trying update B634 ????

I'm having exactly the same problem cant update to any version. Always says ' Check Module Verlist FAIL'
SOLVED
I found a solution to that problem.
Just use another kitkat recovery image to update. In my case,
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407568599
did the trick.

Problem with CWM and Flashing Custom Roms

Hey guys i need some help. I took out my old Galaxy Grand Duos and thought about rooting it to get Android Kitkat ( I have an International version which has never been rooted before ). I rooted it successfully however I am facing problem with the CWM recovery. When i first installed it I was getting the 'No Command" error. I read on XDA that I need to perform a battery pull in order to get the CWM working. I did that and it worked but it only works when I use odin to flash it. Otherwise when ever I enter recovery I get the 'No Command' error. What should I do?
Secondly im trying to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563557 . When i get the CWM working (by flashing it with Odin) there seems to be an error which prevents me from flashing this rom. The message I get is *Cant install this package on top of incapable data. Please try another package or run a factory reset. Error in (the file location and name) (Status 7) Installation aborted*
Thanks in advance

You need to have latest recovery to flash.
Any latest recovery has SE Linux support. Choose latest version or build of your choice from below threads and flash it using your recovery..

system apps problem after upgrade to KK

i've upgraded my tab 3 t210 from nolekat rom to the latest KK firmware in sammobile which is dated february 2015 for the Philippines. i've wiped everything before installing the new firmware via odin. after rebooting, when i open the settings suddenly a popup appears saying "settings has stopped". it happens also in the browser and my files. experience this many times already. tried reinstalling the firmware, but encounter the same problem. another thing is that when i want to power off my tab it will only reboot it. hope someone can help me with this.

The AMK1, try to format system, and internal. then flash latest jb firmware, after rebooting, flash via odin new kk firmware, and reboot. Hope it will fix your problem.
