Simple mod for Maclaw's CM 10.1/10.2 Rom
Changes the battery Icon for a more precise one with 5% increments and animated battery charge.
Like so:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is for both the standalone icon and small percentage icon.
ALSO includes the quick settings battery indicator - animated and more precise.
Just flash in recovery.

Changed low battery colours - at 20% yellow, 15% orange, 10% red.
When at 10% and below the red line slowly flashes on and off.

Added CM 10.2 Mod
Thanks. Flashed just fine. :good:
Can I see precise pictures of that status bar (battery icon).

Updated to include the smaller icon used with the percentage icon, and the quick settings battery indicator now animates while charging and more precise.

I don't want my battery symbol to change or if it did it would have to only show the percentage of power on it. :s
all the mods I can find in that forum change the battery icon thing.
Download Widgetsoid from the market.
It has more options than you could probably dream of, and if you look carefully through the options when you create a new widget, you will see that you can choose to have the widget in the notification bar in addition of having it on your home, or to have the widget in the notification bar only
Looks cool. Wonder what the battery drain is like compared to the others.

I use Quick Settings from the market. It does everything I need and more. It stays in the notification bar, I click it, and get acess to all I need. I also use battery minder to show 1% step battery icon in the top bar. It shows up in the notification bar too.

I use only the switcher types, and I don't notice any battery drain
Indicator types (such as battery indicator) could expectedly drain some battery though, but I don't use them.
Here is what it looks like on my phone:

1st widget: Wifi on/off -- Bluetooth on/off -- GPS on/off -- Set brightness (with cutomizable levels)
2nd widget: Set ring mode -- Volume levels -- Mount/unmount sd -- Reboot (with the option to have a pop-up menu with turn off / normal reboot / hot reboot / recovery / bootloader)
You can decide how many switches you want on each widget, and there are MANY more available
And for each widget, you can decide if you want it on your home, or in your notification bar, or both
I'm using 155-2 cee stock rom.
This rom suits me for best battery life.
Normal 2g mobile standby is 2.4 hours per 1%.
setvsel 18-300 40-800 50-1000
And some system app deleted like most did.
(dlna,phone portal,media share kept)

The reading app is moon+ reader,
(205 232 207)RGB background with pure black font
7% screen brightness
no page flip effect
still with mobile standby(that's 10% battery drain,5% if using flight mode)
Reading time is about 8 hours,other time is just screen on.
This brightness with the color background is nice for bedtime reading even in thedaily time in the room ,not at window or with several lights above.
You can have a try.

I can't see those pics: "You don't have permission to access the requested object."
Honestly I don't know how much those figures will suit people that use their phone for anything else than just reading... Someone will call you during those 25 hours...
Where did you find the circle battery indicator in the status bar? I'd like to install this style in CM7.1, it is nicer and cleaner than the 2 stock ones (stock for CM7.1, I mean)

Hi all,
i use the mentioned ROM on my DZ and it works fine. Only downside: The battery % and clock in the satatus bar are light blue and poorly readable (in the sun). Any idea how to change the color to white?
Slim Bean has that feature and more. Both ROMS are done by blk_jack. Both are great and I highly recommend them. Slim Bean is Jelly bean and Mimicry is ICS. For me it was worth the switch to have more features.
G2 using Slim Bean
Hi,
I tested SlimBean, problem is (for me) that the Car Mode doesn't work in SlimBean. Apart from that it's great.
Gesendet von meinem HTC Vision mit Tapatalk 2
You can try cyanmobile, granted its gingerbread but it has the features youre after as well as many others from ICS and JB, there should be a new build up later tonight
Otherwise if you want to stick fifth mimicry you can use ROM toolbox to change % to white or manually do it by decompiling framework-res and replacing icons as you see fit

My issue with SlimBean is that it doesn't show battery % inside the battery as like as ICS. I couldn't find any where on setting to add this feature

[Solved] [Q] how to remove the "%" from the battery percentage in the the status bar
I've been trying to figure out how to remove the "%" from the battery percentage in the the status bar on TW 4.3. Ive looked through the SystemUI res/values/strings trying to find out how but haven't figured it out. Does anyone know if this is the right place to look or how I should go about it? The screenshot shows both the percentage and the battery icon from Dandroid. The idea I have is to change the icon so its just the bar and the end user can turn the percentage on or off in the settings.

Anyone?
For stock u go to settings, my device, display, and theres a box to check if u want the % display. Uncheck it if its unavailable

I don't think that is what he is asking. I think he wants to remove the actual % symbol. I have never looked for that before but now I'm curious as well.
Metalfan78 is right. What I'm interested in doing is remove the number from the cm battery icon so its just the bar. Then turn on the battery percentage in settings but without the "%" symbol so in the end it still looks like the cm battery icon. Later on I'd like to create the option in settings to hide the battery icon as well.
I'd like to have the icon optional too. Right now I just remove the battery xml's in SystemUI/drawable.
Well I like having it there for me. My eventual goal is to make it optional. Just like the percentage.
That would be a nice mod. Rompnit's battery mod is nice, too many options for me though, lol.

A BIG thank you to @rompnit for helping me figure this out! In the SystemUI.apk go to res/values/strings and find
Code:
<string name="status_bar_settings_battery_meter_format">%d%%</string>
Remove the two "%" symbols near the end so that the code looks like the following
Code:
<string name="status_bar_settings_battery_meter_format">%d</string>
Recompile and that should do it. :highfive:
That's sweet!
In persiut of cylindrical blue battery module for our Tmobile S4.
Main Wanam Xposed Samsung touchwiz mod that you install initially only comes with a circle mod battery icon, can't stand it, would like to have same stock size and shape icon but in blue, instead of the ghostly white.
You get an option to change colors on the other icons in the status bar expect the battery? ?
Anyone using xposed and can share.

I tried that setting but got no results, plus it only refers to"text" not the icon.
I got tired of rebooting the phone, it was getting hot, so I gave up.
I enabled the battery percentage but it didn't change colors.
