Hi all,
Thanks for the pointers, Ive got as far as pulling the Prism.apk, the rest is beyond me as simple as it may be to others out there.
Hopefully Ive attached the pulled apk.
Could some kind soul out there tweak it for me so the bottom navbar is transparent???
Many thanks,
Doug
Go to the SkyDragon thread there is a modded prism.apk with semitransparent background.

You have to edit framework/systemui or install a theme that has the circle mod. Depending what rom your using.
"sent from me2u"

download some root explorer (like es file explorer). u will find the files at
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
and
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
copy paste these files to your sdcard and then upload them on uotkitchen
If you are using CM7 then you can use this theme
Just go to theme chooser and apply...

This Mod is for ICS ROMs
Hello
I did find new effect, I don't know if it is already known to others but I did search about it and find nothing.
Anyhow, I named it "Sliding Window Effect"
To see the sliding window effect !! here is it on youtube:
http://youtu.be/NeVrvoo8jO4
How to do this Mod:
Decompile SystemUI.apk
Open SystemUI\res\values\bools.xml
Search for
Code:
<bool name="config_useCaptureView">false</bool>
Change it to
Code:
<bool name="config_useCaptureView">true</bool>
Now Compile it and enjoy this effect
BTW this Mod will be added to my Kitchen in the next ver.

no matter how much i like this mod, the important thing is that Gangs_kid shared a nu mod so 5 stars!
Been using this for a while but haven;t included it in my rom since it breaks manual brightness adjustment. I'm in the process of making a toggle for it.

Think your missing the signature of the apk, best to copy the classes.dex, reaources.arsc and the res folder over from the compiled apk to the original SystemUI.apk that you have

Hi guys this is my first post here in xda!
I'm here to ask a thing:
When i unboxed my XPERIA PLAY I and turned it on i looked to the black status bar on the phone framework and looked to the box framework that was more beauty and was blue with white icons.
Can someone tell me if its possible to get the original blue framework like the image i have posted above, thanks in advanced, and sorry my English :S.
The photo of the box us edited with the computer. The statusbar looks on every xperia play that is on stock "ugly".
You must be rooted and edit the systemui.apk to get this

Thanks.
Which theme did u use?? I think its a theme effect. Try changing it to blue.

It's not a theme effect, it's actually older amdtroid version. I remembered my friend's X10 android 2.1 stock has this battery style.

You'll need to modify the battery icons inside framework-res.apk then push it back into system. Maybe you can ask someone to theme it for you

easiest way is to root your phone & install custom themes that have "XPERIA" logo of the home button
or change the image of the SystemUI.apk in res/HDPI folder
or use Xposed module & use XblastTools,it allows you to change nav bar image.
First of all, thanks for the answers.
