Friend of mine is having an issue this is what he sent me
"Every time I text somebody a picture, my galaxy deletes the rest of the messages with that person from the whole day. Anyone know why or how to fix that?"
I had him clear his RAM as I had seen that as a solution to a similar issue but it was no help. Not super familiar with this phone so was hoping you guys could help us out.

How can I stop this? Has anyone else had this problem? I had the same thing happen with my htc fuze, but this only happens sometimes. I'd say about 50 percent of the time when I reply to a text message it will get marked as old and 50 percent it will say as new.
This is very annoying because after 10 minutes I'll have a bunch of new texts built up that i have already seen and need to go through one by one and wait for it to make it old.
Someone help please
I've noticed the same problem on previous phones when I receive a message from the person I am replying to. I haven't ever had it happen when I am replying normally though.

Try giving that a shot. I think it might be what you are looking for.
can you please tell me how to install this?
I don't know what to do
i really appreciate the threaded messages in android phones but i have a strange experience with it once in a while. When you text back and forth you get all these messages in like a chat form following the order of the conversation but sometimes i would all get my messages in a cluster while the response of my friend would be thrown somewhere in the beginning or at the end. I have no problem with sending and receiving but they sometimes don't come in the right order. I don't know if i have explained myself well or if you guys can see my problem. Anyway if anyone has the same experience and a solution i would really appreciate that. Thanks
I don't text that much but I noticed if I receive a reply the same minute I sent the text the order will be messed up. Haven't found nor looked for a solution yet, doesn't happen that often to bother me.
i got the same problem... but no solution
anybody else have issues with text messages showing an hour behind while connected to the airvana? Kind of annoying having to keep scrolling up to the top to read incoming texts! Guess I gotta make another call to sprint!......i tried to reset the unit but it did not fix it... If I get a text when im not connected to it the time is correct....
I am having the same issue. Stupid daylight savings time and badly designed technology. Let me know if you figure out a solution.
I know, Im having the same exact problem and its super irritating. So if someone finds out what is wrong please let me know!
Have you tried SMS Time Fix? It is free in the market and works for me since all of my texts usually have the time 1 hour too fast. I have an Airvana, but haven't noticed this issue since I have the Time Fix
it is a (now) known issue with the airave team. just received a call telling me so
Hello all,
So my wife is telling me she is having a weird issue with her S3. I haven't gotten a chance to diagnose it myself so I figured I would check with you all to see if anyone has noticed this.
She is saying that she will send me a text message and when I respond a few seconds later my text response will display before the text she originally sent me. This seems to only happen when I respond quickly. She is also informing me that, as of right now, she sent a message with the timestamp 9:37. The response she got from me (again, I responded quickly) shows the timestamp of 9:36 and is appearing before her message I responded to.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Let me know if I am being unclear.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT:
Also, she is not rooted or anything. The phone is in as-bought condition minus whatever she installed from the Play Store. She is using the default messenger.

I'm not sure about the stock one, but some SMS apps have the ability to either order texts by 1) the time the sending phone says it was sent, or 2) the time your phone actually received it. My guess is this is a result of a slight difference in the time on both of your devices and her phone is ordering them by originating timestamp, not receiving.
If it's not an option in the stock MMS app, I know a few of the alternative apps in the Play Store offer this "fix".
That's a good point. I am on Verizon and she is on AT&T. Maybe there is a slight time difference and this is causing things to come in out of order. I'll have to check that out.
Mine does it on occasion but fixes itself later on. Both my Captivate and my S II dud it as well. I'm not too worried about it.

my s2 and s3 do this when i'm at my parents house. I think what happens is the towers time is behind on the tower you're on. That's what I've kind of concluded since it only happens at my parents house.
I can send a group message, if I'm the one that starts it, and receive one just fine. Issue I'm having is if someone else starts it or if I respond to a response in one I started I get another message with my response in it. I don't know how to stop this. I looked in settings to try and stop it but all I saw was to get something showing they person received it and something showing it was read. Both have been shutoff. Only seems to happen in a group message and I'm thinking it also does the same in a MMS. Any way to stop this so the same message stays and I don't have 3 or 4 messages for the same conversation?
EDIT: I was just able to find a post on Reddit having the same issue. Someone suggested doing a factory reset. Seems like it could be an issue for some that get a new SIM card on T-Mobile and I just came from Sprint so this could be the issue. I'd rather not do reset unless I have to. So does anyone know of another way to fix this?
