Where is the 'Developer option' in the latest 4.2.2 firmware?
Never mind. Got it. You just have to tap "About device" few times to enable it.

Hi,
I'm running on MC2 and whenever I update to any 4.2.2 rom (tried at least 3 of them) I lose service.
When updated to 4.2.2, going into "about" shows IMEI and all the phone settings as UNKNOWN.
When I flash back to MC2 then my service works.
I've tried doing NVBACKUP in MC2 where my service works, and then doing NVRESTORE in 4.2.2, but that doesn't work either.
Please help, as I would love to be on 4.2.2 and I can't find a fix for this anywhere.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
you might run into this problem if you flash ROMs meant for different carriers' Note IIs
:silly:
I'm trying to make sure "Developer Options" is turned on on my wife's phone as I'm starting to install a custom ROM.
When I tap Build Number 7 times nothing happens.
How do I tell if it is enabled? Currently on 4.1.2 MD4
Thanks, Randy
You don't need to do that for 4.1.2, it's already enable in settings.
I own Droid Incredible 2 and I've installed beanstalk 4.3
By default this rom has cdma mode selected. when I change it to gsm only from 'mobile networks' in 'settings' and restart, it gives error com.android.phone stopped. and now "mobile networks" in "settings" also doesn't open.
I've tried to open phone information by dialing *#*#4636#*#* but phone information menu also doesn't open.
I need help to resolve the issue.
Reboot even doesn't work.
on resetting phone to factory defaults cdma mode is selected and when I change it to gsm again "com.android.phone stopped"

Hello!!! i had the same issue whit other roms, it looks like the GSM support of the 4.3 android based ROMS is not so good at the moment so is better if you try any 4.1 or 4.2 based Roms.
personally i use the PAC Rom of Chilli Bean but it haves a kind of Bug of the signal bars (i allways only have 1 signal bar and i can´t add APN so mobile data don´t work).
this is the rom i use daily

if you really need a full functional GSM Rom you need to use some 4.0.4 of gingerbread roms those are the only one at the moment that works fine using a GSM provider.
these are some roms recomended for GSM.

You could try a factory reset and see if it pops back up. Im not sure if its tmobile or lg but I hate the update system they have. Sometimes you see it sometimes it takes a month after release.
If I do a factory reset she will loose all her stuff. So she said no to a factory reset
LG Mobile Support Tool
Try this method

I had the same situation with my LG3.I talked to tech support and because of the bugs with Lollipop and LG phones ,they have taken down the update till they fix the problems
Thanks!
There are other ways to update. Search through the forums and you will find a plethora of info on how to do it. Also check the support site on tmobile, it gives you info on how to update the phone via a computer.
No "Software Update" button in About Phone. Cannot even check for new updates.
Hi,
So my phone had the dreaded bootloop a month ago. No biggie, sent it into warranty. Took one month for them to get it back to me and low and behold, my 6.0 LG G4 is now 5.1. No biggie I thought, ill just check for updates. The only thing is, there is no Software Update or Check for updates anywhere. I've tried the "about phone" section and the "software version" section too. Nothing. Zero. The LG update centre also automatically takes me to the app update page rather than the software one.
I've tried connecting it to my computer however the LG software just doesn't recognise it being connected. Tried 4 different computers. It also has a weird quirk where if i switch it out of MTP mode, it doesn't go back to it until i factory reset. I'm assuming a lot of these issues can be resolved if I just update it, however I cannot for the life of me. Any suggestions short of taking it back to the store?
Android Version: 5.1
Kernel Version: 3.10.49
Build Number: LMY47D
Software Version: H81510h
Security Software Version: MDF v1.1 Release 5
You can update via LG UP
Update via LG Bridge, my friend.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Same exact problem what you have

I have an lg g4 with the same problem.
No software update center. Only app updates
Not getting connected to LG Bridge and LG UP,
etc
Kindly help me to update marshmallow
Ive had this issue in the past. With the mtp protocol on ls991. Only time it ever did as described is when rooted. I had to use the dialer codes. To get into the usb settings and change them manually there. Not the ones in notif bar but. In hidden menu.
The key there is to never touch the usb settings never switch to charge only or ptp it will never go back to mtp. Mine persisted throught factory resets. Only lg flashtool and total restore fix it the rerooted
Sounds like u got a bad firmware download. From the factory. And its weird cause lg always updates the device to the newest firmware.
