[Solved] Looking for 6.2.B.1.96 stock Phonebook.apk - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I made a totally stupid mistake :crying: : is somebody so kind as to upload stock Phonebook.apk used in 6.2.B.1.96 (I can't figure out where to find it)?
Thanks a lot!

Well, I finally figured out after some researches Details here for n00bs like me:
I downloaded firmware 6.2.B.1.96, extracted it, used Flashtool to dump system.sin into system.ext4, and used Ext2Read to find & extract Phonebook.apk. Then moved it into /system/app & fixed permissions.
I can make phone calls again!

Pretty sure that's just the recovery image that you flashed to your device previously so you should be able to delete it.

New Boot Animation

Hey guys,
I've created a new Boot Animation instead of the flashing green Android text. It's very easy to install and you can use either ADB or RootExplorer to replace the original file.

Should I sign a flashable zip with system apps?

Hi everybody...Months ago I used a custom ROM for my MK16 based on Jelly Bean. I wanted to replace Trebuchet with Nova so I did it but I had to sign the complete ROM using the tool from the picture, But now I'm working on a "transformation pack",consists mainly of system apps.
The .zip must be signed? I don't know where this tool came from, Can I use it? I have never signed any zip before so I don't know if it has any advantage over a similar unsigned zip.

You shouldn't need to.

System apps do not need to be signed, however apps, that you want to install via the UI, do need signature.

You can't. It becomes protected after boot which is why you use magisk modules to do modifications in root prior to a full boot. I think this change happened in Android 10? Don't quote me on that.
