I have no idea. I remember the original cm9 for the cdma had graphics glitches and that seems to be fixed here....

This one has addons in aroma, Curtis' CM9 fix-up is vanilla CM9.
lol nah no competition, i have actually helped a small amount on this. barely in all truthfulness. more like consulted a little. This is all Zakman. My post was related to wanting to use it. I'm a user and want to try it out.
edit: as for differences i cant really say. i always wanted to try out kang bang but never could find a working download. glad someone brought it over to the cdma side. now i can get my flash on lol

What is the mms bug?...I sent and received txt fine..or is it an issue with pics?
Also in the install notes, it mentions installing oc app but the performance option in settings seems to work fine with me

MMS is picture messaging. And I recommend using OC app because the on in settings seems to be buggy
This should handle MMS. Not flashable btw.
I'd try it myself, but I never really liked CM on this phone.
Idk if MMS.apk had to replaced though. That you'll have to test on your own. :good:
If mms still doesn't work after Curiousn00b's fix try replacing all RIL related files with CDMA ones.

MMS somewhat confirmed working with this patch, They send but dont download. will try the RIL Files in the morning.
EDIT: Replaced RIL files and got no service....
I think I found a bug. I was watching video content, and tried adjusting the volume using my rockers. I found that the volume controls don't actually effect any of the sounds. Does anyone get this bug?

There are 2 5MP options the first one produces complete garbage, the second works find apart from a small line across the bottom, sometimes it's there sometimes's it's green, sometimes it's pink, occasionally it goes away until the next reboot when it's back again.....
Camcorder - yes it works only at one res at the moment though 720x480
Panorama works also.
Had another go at fixing usb tethering as well...

Integrated CM's signal settings (6 bar toggle still works if you have icon's selected)

Switched to using Lord Clockan's kernel, I like it.
Camera updates (is it just me being lucky or do most of the artifacts on pics at 5MP go away after you take a few pictures?)

much faster! video recording is much more stable now too!( i recommend 640x480 resolution for camcorder.) added MUCH MORE scripts/optimisations into init.d

Oh, and about FM Radio, if you can somehow enable FM Audio in the ROM then it will work using Spirit FM with the qdsp5v2 method. Right now I think that the phone can RECIEVE FM signal but apparently it can't PLAY it.

So this is based on Andromadus. Hmmh...had things go fuzzy, like random restarts when I played games. Eh, so long I can get really high volume through DSP this is probably a DD.

I concur, this is actually pretty fast. Haven't even bothered with overclocking and it's pretty smooth. Had some issues with market but a reboot fixed it...restoring apps now.
Can you define 'optimizations', be more specific?

Thread is still in process of developement, will update whats working and whats not in a few moments.
As for the adreno graphics, im using the virtuous base rom which is currently outdated compared to most so its probably just hardware accelerated graphics, i just wanted to get a stable build as this is my first rom, hopefully things will improve when i learn more

Are you intending to differentiate from aj, or just release along side him as and when either of you are busy?
I realise that you have put a great deal of effort into this and don't want all your hard work to go out the window when aj releases his.

Nope mine and his version are completely different, im not sure as to what base aj uses but i use virtuous, i also use a different kernel, he has aroma installer were i remove as many apps as possible but maintaining the MIUI feel..
and most importantly he knows what hes doing were as this was my first rom in which there are a few bugs present

On a more serious note, I'm a huge fan of minimal apps. I would happily volunteer as a tester if you want/need one. I've had recent issues running ics and would be interested in helping improve things.

Thanks im the same i dont like apps i dont need hence youtube, maps, a few un-needed miui apps have been removed, personally it improves ram and storage capacity
There are a few things i need to fix and improve but im still in the learning stages, like i have said this is the first rom i have ever built and the only main things that dont work is the keyboard backlight (ICS bug not mine), camera (by default it should work with bugs present but mine FC's alot so im thinking im missing some drivers some where), and the last bug i have found is data doesnt work (i rarely use it so for me this rom is pretty stable)
Hope you get rid of the bugs.
The policy.jar fix is not from me. Just the decompile

How are you finding the auto brightness (used due to keylight bug)? I have found it hit and miss with it jumping up and down. Plus I don't really understand the setting in cm9.
Second, I don't actually remember what I was going to say :$ it'll come to me.
Edit: I remember, are you using it with any sort of OCing? I'm not worried about upping the max, but I do like to try different governers.

Thanks, and regarding the auto brightness i never use it, i always have it set fairly low, although as its on by default when i first flash i did notice it does jump up and down, isnt very reliable.

sorry guys i had some stuff working earler then broke wi fi then fixed wi fi and tried to fix camara and seemed to break more things... Ill get it fixed up

It should be noted that the Desire S version is based on Android 4.0.3. All of the 4.0.3 ROMs for our phone are ancient, so I chose to use CM9 (4.0.4) as a base and some fixes from ...Awesome... DianXinOS has been under development for many months, but has only recently come to ICS. As such, there is quite a bit of Chinese. The ROM is still very usable, but improvements will be made in coming versions.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download here:
2. Reboot into recovery and wipe, at minimum, SYSTEM, data, cache, dalvik-cache. If you do not perform a full wipe expect no support from me.
3. Reboot and wait 5 minutes to let it settle.
4. Open No-Frills CPU Control and set CPU to, 1024 max (or your preference), 245 min, smartassV2, noop, check "Apply on boot" and hit apply.
I have chosen to use LordMod's Andromadus kernel. Don't like it? Flash another one. Also, DX does not have a CPU controller built in, so I have included No-Frills CPU control as a light and free alternative. It is in data/app for easy uninstallation.
If you experience GPS issues run GPS Status, also included, and you should be good to go.

I do but to be honest outside of aokp/aosp/sense4 I've never really used a different rom so when I got the chance to test it at first I was like hell no this isn't my style rom but after playing with it and setting it up and fixing some bugs its not that bad I like the UI. Something different I guess

Well yea for sure it's something different, like you step into the Apple world UI wise. I use to love MIUI then i don't remember why I stop using it ~XD

At least don't stop the developement of Sense roms... heck, even the vanilla roms... I hate apple... this could be the best rom, but I would never make my phone look as an Iphone...

So far so good amigo!
A little slow, but its getting better as I let it settle in. At first I tried flashing both the Rom and the mod, but I got stuck on boot. So I flashed just the Rom and it booted up. Camera and video cam (yes even at 720p) both work! Track pad AND track pad wake work too! Pretty damn good Rom.
The only major problem I've found is that I cannot multitask. I hold the home button and nothing happens. Hope there's a fix for that soon! Will update as I spend more time with this rom.

Yeah, the One V...
I am liking that pimp my Rom .At first I thought it was a bunch of mumbo jumbo bloated up useless stuff,but now that i tried it.It really has some useful tweaks ,you all should try it out ..It really does Pimp dat **** out Holmes (PUN INTENDED OP)
I know it does do some nice wonders that PmR. When I loaded it and ran it I noticed that the responsiveness was really good. and the overall performance of my phone went up. I know that you can add tweaks to the rom and then flash it but with al these mods and additions floating around XDA just doing some small research and reading you can do so much.
So am I the only one that can't multitask?

Flashing the mod should fix the issue with not pressing home. Just let me know. Flash the rom then reboot load then you will have to ADB into recovery to flash the mod and then reboot and you should be good to go.
