In Note 2, I used to press the button on SPen and I can switch between pen mode and eraser mode in SNote. This doesn't work on my Note 8. Nothing happens when I press the Spen button. There is no problem with the hardware as I'm able to take screenshots using the Spen button. Is this a common issue? How do I fix this?

Is there any method or trick for the same? If 'yes' then please do enlighten me, since it's very cumbersome touching the back button using fingers when working on the phone particularly when using it with the S-Pen only.
Thanks!
press the s-pen button and draw a '^' to get menu and a "<" to go back.
Is there a way to make the note 2 to show virtual buttons when the s-pen is de-attached?
I hate using the pen and then if I want to go to home or just back on the app, I need to use my finger to do those things...
What you need to do is press and hold the button on the s-pen and draw a triangle like this < to go back and a triangle like this ^ to simulate the menu button
Use button savior app from play store

Hi all. New to GN2 so if this has already answered elsewhere I apologize.
When using S-Notes my wrist keeps hitting the back button on the bottom right of the of the phone and force closing the note I am working on. I wish Samsung would just program the phone to disable ALL TOUCH INPUT if the pen is close to the screen but until they do, is there a mod or a rom that will allow S-Notes to rotate 180 so I can hold the phone upside down as I write and avoid the back button?
Thanks in advance.

Keep your pen closer is all I can say. I'm the opposite opinion, on my GN2 the menu, back and even hardware home buttons DO NOT WORK when my pen tip is close to screen. It really annoys me because I'll try to back and have to take the stupid pen away to get it to work.
Same, if you can see the s pen's mini cursor on the screen, menu, home, and back buttons do not work.

Home and power buttin don't do screen captures anymore. What app did I diable to stop it from working?
1. Take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using a keyboard shortcut
To take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 press the home button and the power button of the smartphone simultaneously. This key-combination must be pressed for about 1-2 seconds. Then you will see a flashing white frame around the screen and hear a click-sound that indicates the screenshot was taken. This information is also shared with you in the status bar of your smartphone.
The key combination for taking a screenshot with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 requires a little training and a little practice, but is the most used method. Especially if you have changed from a non-Samsung smartphone to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
2. Take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by swiping the screen
The screenshot can be triggered on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by swiping the screen. This gesture must however be enabled in Android. To enable the feature on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, you must navigate to the settings of your smartphone. In the settings, please tap "Motions and gestures" and then on "Palm swipe to capture". Activate the function by activating the controller.
You can now immediately take screenshots on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by wiping with the edge of the hand from right to left across the screen or vice versa .
I wasn't holding it long enough. Thanks
Hi all,
I dropped my tablet and seems to have bent the frame enough so the power button and lowering volume on the volume button no longer work. I know there are plenty of apps to simulate these buttons but they are all for rooted phones. However, if I want to use this tablet for work, I can't root it. Is there a no root alternative? Or perhaps a ROM that is not rooted, but has a built in restart option? I don't need any samsung apps, I just need the s pen to work but I use Lecture Notes. (Screen on/off its handled by magnetic cover, volume by built in menu, so only restart is missing after broken buttons).
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks!
