Soft Brick Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Help

Hello, First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Mark, I live in the Philippines,and I'm also a grade 7
If you're wondering why someone so young is in this forums, it's because I just need help with my tablet.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, I tried to root it with Kingo Root. But I was too late to find out that my tablet wasn't supported. I tried to unbrick it before but I haven't found anything yet, and then my tablet went out of battery. When it had its battery back, I can't go to Odin/Download mode anymore. If anyone can help me fix this problem and unbrick my device, that would be very helpful. Also please reply quickly since we need it now.

Hello there, sorry for late response. I'm still at church replying and I dont have my tablet yet. How do you get to recovery mode by the way?
Oh and when I try to do this: Home button+power+lower volume it just wont go to odin/download mode. And it just flickers and goes back to samsung screen

Sorry, I'm not here with a solution to the problem but Even i am dealing with the same kind of problem... actually I was updating my Galaxy Tab 3.7.0 Android jellybean 4.1.2 version to kitkat 4.4.2... but somehow my pc got hanged and the whole process was terminated.. after that i tried to switch on my tab 3.7.0 but It just kept saying 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again!!'. I am not able to go into download mode or either recovery mode. When i tried it to connect with kies it said that kies doesn't support this device. i have all the drivers needed. And it's not even charging. I tried to recover it by using CWF recovery mod using ODIN 3.09 but the process just stucks at 'setting connection' I AM STUCK! PLEASE HELP!

I installed the wrong firmware while I was trying to root my device(Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition). After that, the screen said that it failed to install firmware and a black screen appeared. I 've tried everything (including: Holding down Volume Down and Home buttons) but the screen remains black. Can someone help me recover the previous firmware?

Try holding volume down + power , if you can get to download mode , then try flashing your appropriate rom again , if it fails , try installing this PIT file via odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/help/pit-stock-pit-file-thread-t2989266

I tried that but nothing happened. The screen remains black. It seems that I 've installed the galaxy note 10.1 firmware instead of the galaxy note 10.1 (2014 edition) firmware while I was trying to root my tablet. I plugged it in my computer and I tried this key combination but the screen remains black.

If you are sure your tablet is charged & still you can`t get into download mode ( just try charging it for couple of minutes & try volume down + power ) , if you couldn`t get this ,then unfortunately you have a bricked device .
Flashing incompatible firmware ends up with bricked devices.

The device is bricked because of the incompatible firmware.

I will charge it all night. Then I will try the key combination again. But, I think that because of the incompatible firmware the device is bricked.

I read about doing a volume up & power for over 30 sec. worked for me once.

Last thing to try, if you can get your hands on a download mode dongle from the S2 days it might get you to download mode but this is a long shot. If you flashed the Note 10.1 2012 firmware you will probably have flashed the bootloader and as such be REALLY bricked.... The only way to fix might be to buy a "broken" note 10.1 with a bad screen or something and swap out the Main board... Just be aware you will inherit any problems associated with the new mainboard and will most certainly get a new IMEI/Serial number in the process....
Make sure it's not a mainboard that can't use your networks ie verizon with it's locked bootloader...

Use this method, work 100%.
[RECOVERY][ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Dual SIM (GT-I9192)
The procedure is as:
1.Copy the "S4Mini_RootKit_v2.zip" to your device SD card.
2.Turn off the phone.
3.Press and hold home, volume down and power. Download screen should appear.
4.Connect USB cable, and press volume up.
5.Start Odin, uncheck "F. Reset Time", and then click AP button.

Use Kies or Smart Switch emergency software recovery and initialization. You need to pass through it two times. The second time you will not could to put it in download mode, only use volume down + home + power and wait until it finish. Could take about an hour.

What do you mean im confused i allreafy know how to unbrick my phone i just dont know how to root it

Welp, probably note much I can do, but I'm hoping there's a trick to get it back in to download mode. Won't turn on, note recognized via usb.. can't go in to download/recovery... any tricks to get to a download mode? Thanks

for anyone as dumb as me... i was hasty in writing this... in this scenario.. if you hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.. THEN it does go to a download mode. phew. Now if I could just find a working twrp

What model are you on? P-600? 601? 605? 607?
Have you tried https://twrp.me/Devices/ ?
Best of luck, and glad you figured it out. I remember having a similar scare back in 2013 when I was first learning about root.

Have you tried the official TWRP page?
What is your tablet's model?
For the sm-p600 (wifi version) or sm-p601 (wifi + 3g version) flash This twpr.
For the sm-p605 (wifi + 4g LTE version) flash This twrp.
