Anyone have any advice on stylus? Would love to see something like this http://www.slashgear.com/wacom-bamb...k-to-ipad-android-tablets-and-paper-10222203/ for our tablet but assume that's a pipe dream.
that's a Stylus W/Gel Ink Refill Pen. can be a stylus also a pen. Two in one use. Nice Stylus. Maybe you can give it a try.
35 quid or 54 USD for a stylus
I have one that came free with one of my cases that works just like that one.
>^.^< Sent from meow HTC One which is like catnip to me atm
There is not a lot of difference between any of the conductive rubber styluses out there, although the Wacom have a little more heft to them, and have low cost replacement tips. You can save quite a bit on Amazon, but beware the prices that seem to good to be true as there are reviews some of these are counterfeit.
If you use it alot you might prefer the replaceable tips and the more quality feel. For me, who only uses it occasionally (while cooking and other dirty hands activities), the cheap drug store variety are fine.

I could never use one that also has a pen, I'm afraid I would be a klutz and end up writing on my screen. looks nice, but a bit too pricey for my taste
I use the hybrid type, with Micro-Knit Fiber Tip , works great, I've tried the rubber tip one, these work much better and cheap 2 for ten bucks.my fingers are so fat, so much easier to navigate.
:good:
anyone feels that a stylus pen doesnt really work well with the Nexus 7? i feel that the sensitivity isn't that good.

I ordered one and it'll be here in a few days so, I'll post a review on here when I get it.
That does look fairly promising, I may take a chance on that myself, but I've read on these forums that a screen protector is really superfluous for the Kindle Fire.
I'd heard that too, I'll let you know when it gets here.
I think a screen protector could be useful. My Kindle Fire received an unexplained tiny scratch on its screen. The screen's surprisingly durable though.
My wife got me the Marware black leather case and Mini Suit stylus (the lanyard plugs into the audio port). The case is a little pricier than a lot of the others, but it looks nice and it seems pretty rugged. I've decided against the screen protector and I've had no scratches yet-- of course if I get one, I'm going to kick myself lol.
Ya, I also haven't gotten a scratch yet bet I know, like you said, if it ever gets one I'd be really ticked. I also can't wait to tray the leather case. I really wonder how the build quality is.
I've been using the Marware case for a week, sorry if my wording was unclear. It's an attractive case and it feels sturdy. I don't have much use for it as a stand, but I did try it out and while it's workable, I wouldnt call it ideal. The KF screens are gorilla glass, so I'm not too concerned about scratches, but I could see a loose diamond ring being a scratch hazard

The stuff got here... The screen protector applied like a dream without a single bubble. The case is nice and it's pretty sturdy. The capacitive pens are nicer than I'd thought and the earphones are pretty average.
Great Deal. 16, 17 USD. Considering just a case with a cover cost that much. Its nice

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought my kindle fire and this would be perfect. I just hope the quality of the accessories are decent since its pretty cheap for so many accessories.
nice
good find
So far...
So anyone purchase this have anything to say about the case so far? I have to admit, like others have stated, it seems to inexpensive that I'm leery about the quality. I'm not expecting a $50 case, but any reviews on it so far?

i wonder too , anyone?
Looks quite nice....and, for 20 dollars that is a steal. (With Shipping of course), thanks.
Any tips on a decent ebay case?
Just received this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261027269...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
The fit is really tight, camera is somewhat protected (about 0.5mm beneath surface) and extra grip on the sides is good I guess (I was already used to the smooth finish one the phone itself so the grainy surface feel a bit weird). Buttons need a lot more force to push though. Good for some afraid to accidentally activating the phone while in their pocket, but for me it's ruining the usage experience a bit. I probably will get used to it after a couple of days.
Anyway it's really cheap and in my opinion worth a try.
Btw, the one advertised as grey is actually clear with matte clear in the middle.
Thanks, I preffer those that are more flexible though or the snap-on one.
I am using a case similar to this but bought from amazon, I like the idea that the camera lense is protected by 5mm, no scratches and case doesn't get in the way of pics
It adds a bit more bulk to the phone, less likely to slip out your hand as well, buttons are harder to press, no accidental presses while in your pocket, all the cut outs are perfect, which I was very pleased about
Think I payed £1.95 + p&p....I still think I robbed them, seriously under priced for such a well fitted case and all cut outs perfect

The price was £1.49 (I think seller has changed the price) and you get case, screen protector and a stylus.
All the holes line up and it adds a bit of bulk to the phone. The screen protector was not a perfect fit but I seem to be using the stylus more than I thought (it works really well and keeps my finger prints off lol)
cant complain for less than 2 quid.
I can't say enough good things about this case: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clear-Screen-Protector-Qubits-Accessories/dp/B007V38BF0/ref=pd_cp_ce_1
It's on amazon but I've seen them listed on ebay under different names.
It basically looks just like the pictures and really looks good on the phone. It doesn't add much bulk and does a really good job at protecting everything. The included screen protectors are nice. They scratch easily but they don't show prints as much or have that rainbow effect like harder protectors. There are tons of cases out there for 10x the price but I wouldn't trade them for this one. I wish the pogo pins weren't covered but I'm not sure they would work anyway with the added thickness of the case.

I got myself one of those from ebay. It fits really well and looks decent but the buttons are not molded well. Even the slightest touch and power / volume buttons will activate. Maybe I just got a dud product.
I will try to gouge some plastic away from the bottom where the buttons should fit and it should make the case usable. Not going to send it back because it was so cheap and not worth the hassle.

That doesn't sound like the same case because mine does not have any issues like that. The buttons feel normal; not particularly hard or easy to push.

Like I mentioned mine probably got overlooked by the monkeys in the QA line (if the manufacturers of these cheap cases even have those ).
If you got a perfect case then good for you - it fits the phone perfectly and protects the camera very well.

Hi, I saw the other keyboard thread but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I have a horrible back and I need to keep my back lightweight. So, I need a portable, compact, keyboard for note 10.1 Next year I will be commuting to college for 2 hours (there and back) every single day.
I was thinking http://www.amazon.com/MiniSuit-Keybo...+10.1+keyboard
But reviews arent good. I like it cause it can go directly over the screen and it will be compact in backpack. Next semester i will be commuting for a hour everyday, so I need good one.
I also saw the logitech keyboard, but I went to the store to look at it and it seems thick and heavy. It would be thicker then netbook...
I use to have a netbook and I don't want a keyboard to be thicker then my netbook, with tablet combined. The reason I got a tablet was due to lightweight portability, so it would be pointless if its thicker. Thanks.

You should take a look at Zagg Flex. I just got it yesterday, and am quite satisfied with it.
Really, I mean, really light and compact.

I am also a commuter student with back problems. I just got the Zagg Flex a week ago, and I love it! The Logitech with it's AA batteries and thick cover was too heavy and bulky for me, but the Zagg is just right. My kitchen scale says it's just shy of 11 ounces including the cover and charger cable (micro USB). It's about 6 ounces without the cover, but I really like the stand functionality, so I carry the cover too.
I purchased it so I can use my Note as my primary computer while I'm studying abroad in Spain this summer. Portability and weight were two huge factors. I also wanted a decent chiclet keyboard and not one of the weird silicon ones. I love the key layout of this one. I tried 6 other keyboards/keyboard cases before settling on this one.
It feels pretty thin to me. The keyboard is .75 inches with the stand/cover or .65 inches without it. For comparison, the Note is .35 inches thick with no cover. The two together would most likely be thin enough to go in a standard netbook neoprene sleeve especially if you took off the cover. It is also thin enough to fit in the back pocket of my jeans (not that you would, but there's an image of a model doing this on the box, so I had to try it.
The Minisuit keyboard case is .43 inches by itself and .66 inches when attached to the note, so the Flex would be a bit thicker, but the Minisuit weighs in at 12.3 ounces.
The only downside to the Flex is that it's separate from the stand, so it's not as convenient to use in your lap on the train like the keyboard cover is. You have to either do a balancing act with a textbook on your lap, or put it flat on your lap or the seat beside you and type from afar. I'm still trying to find a good cover to pair with it that would double as a base for the keyboard when I want to use it in my lap.

I hope you don't buy it from there, Amazon has it for half the price(http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Aluminum-Samsung/dp/B009SKVICM/ref=pd_cp_pc_3). I just ordered a Note 10.1 from yesterday's Woot deal so I'm looking for accessories, keyboard/case combo ideally. The only gripe I had seen about this one is that the space bar comes into contact with the screen when it's closed and in some cases wore a line into the screen. That's a little scary. I wonder if you could put some additional rubber feet on the palm rests to prevent this. Anyone on this forum used the above keyboard and have any feedback?

got mine about a week and and i love mine but i prefer my Air jacket more. (Just because it doesn't hide my motomaker back). one thing i had against it is that it fit crazy tight and i almost felt like i was breaking my phone when trying to remove it. it also made my buttons a bit more sensitive than i would have liked, but not to much that it would randomly turn on.
Yeah.. I agree its super tight coming off. Have to go slow taking it off that's for sure.

Thanks for the review: I was considering the Supcase. While you did point out the minimal face-protection: I found that the size of the protection around the front-sides is exactly what I was looking for as I am currently working near minerals quite often so having a bit of breathing space is ideal.

wow... :victory: Great and Great... thanks for sharing it..
I've been using the Supcase for nearly 2 months now and I've got the say for the price you can't beat it. The clear back option is great and I like it since it keeps the dimple intact!
Ergonomics for the win!
I must be the only person here or on amazon who did not like the supcase. It had a great fit but I just didn't like the hard plastic shell and sharp edges. I only used a few times then put on ebay. For a thin casr I much prefer my tpu case that was $12 cheaper.
My SUPCASE Clear/Black came in and I'm loving it. The only problem I have right now(which is ironic) is that it's actually too-loose around the power/volume keys which makes it hard pressing down on the keys.
Great review. The case looks breautiful. I just ordered one on amazon for $16.
Has anyone used this case with Shure SE215 headphones? I am concerned that the earphone jack won't fit through the case as the opening isn't particularly wide. Would hate to have to return the case if my earphones don't fit.
I see your supcase review. It's great. I want to know how much it with shipping expense?
Hey, I found this type of stylus on ebay, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? I really hate the rubber styluses because its so rubbery and sticky, makes it hard to write.
The one below looks better, but I have absolutely no experience with it.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Stylus-Pen-N...0941963865?pt=US_Styluses&hash=item4d0dad9e59
EDIT: Found another stylus that has a microfiber tip, was wondering about any experience with this type of stylus.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Micro-Fibre-...24992?pt=US_Styluses&var=&hash=item3a87431a60
I'd say mesh tips are "better" in that they conduct better with the screen then the rubber tips, overall more responsive and way more smoother on the screen.
On the other hand though, the mesh tip is a lot less firm and collapses more than I would like it to with any amount of pressure.
Have you checked out the little plastic disk type of stylus? I like them better overall (responsiveness & precision) even though they take some time to get used to.
