[Q] Low storage space after CM10 installation - LG Optimus G (International)

Hello, flashed CM10 according to the instructions on the cm website. But after installation, I noticed that there were only 14 gigabytes of free space on the memory.
Seems strange if CM10 takes up 11gigabyte.
Anyone else having the same problem? What is the solution?

Did a "clean install"
This ROM created a new folder and did not delete my old one. It remained in another partition.
1. Backup (Nandroid)
2. Format sd / data / cashe ..
3. Reboot recovery
4. Start sideload
5. SideLoad using adb
6. Flash ROM.
Clean and good install!

Hello,
Is it possible to get access to the old partiton? To recover some files?
Thanks

And if i don't have data\media?

Then it means you must sell your phone ant a nokia 1100. You don't need to read and document yourself before trying something to the phone. Lazy people will not get help here.

Lemme explain what happened. I
backed up my ROM in ROM manager.
So I installed newest cwr touch, placed the files on the SD card like always, I booted into recovery, factory reset data/cache...etc. I went to " install from zip" it's empty. I went to back ups, nothing. Do I was stuck in recovery. Put phone into bootloader (Im drawing a blank on what it's called), installed newest TWRP, booted into recovery. It found the zip, installed it and all was good. But now I wanna go back to my previous ROM to do titanium backup. I bought a jetpack joyride perk and when I installed it on the new ROM its saying I have to buy it. Do I was gonna restore data on it. Problem is, cwr won't recognize my backups.
Thanks in advance.

I don't want to sound like a jerk when I say this... But if something is at least somewhat important to you, it would probably be a good idea to back it up on your computer or whatever. It'd better safe than sorry, plus it's really easy to backup the entire SD with:
$adb pull /sdcard /backup-folder-on-computer
^ Linux command, windows will have a different path
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I avoid cmd and Linux command if possible. And it's not gone, it's just placed somewhere else. A Nandroid is all I need usually.

HELP!! I Have a Kindle Fire with twrp v2.0.0 trying to get working again!

I am new to site and recently acquired a Kindle fire that has been rooted and had android I believe 4.1 installed and I was in the settings and was adjusting the grid size for the home screen and it just bugged out now I am stuck at the TWRP v2.0.0 screen with the 8 options!
I have read [GUIDE] Kindle Fire For Beginners and am still lost on what to do, and feel like :silly: !! I have your basic knowledge of computers and with a little help can normally accomplish what I'm looking to do!
So now is where I ask for help with my situation and would be very happy and thankful for it!
I am looking to get back to the way it was when I bought it and if it means starting from scratch by completely flashing the kindle back to out of the box and going from there so if this does happen again I know what to do on my own and don't have to feel that I am being a pain to anyone!
Thank you for reading and hope to hear from anyone soon! A HUGE THANKS in advance for any help and info you may give!
Restoring to stock for the purpose of going through the process of modifying it again is pointless and can cause bigger problems if you don't know how to deal with it. Instead, try to reinstall your ROM.
Before you do that, what exactly are you looking to get out of your KF?

If I don't have to start from scratch that's perfectly fine with me!

You'll have to download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439916
Then put it on your sdcard.
Then wipe your system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.
Then flash the ROM you put on your sdcard.

All you need to mount is the sdcard and place the files directly on the discard, or remember where you put them.

Should I unzip the files before copying to sd?

The Kindle Fire doesn't have a /misc directory so you will always see that error. Disregard it.
I clicked on the cm10 file and then hit flash

[Q] CWM Warning No File_Contexts

Hi,
I have the Google Play Edition rom installed on T-Mobile Galaxy S4. I have accidentaly deleted the Clockworkmod folder from the internal storage. Now I can reboot in CWM recovery however on the main CMW screen I see a "Warning: No File_Contexts".
Should I be worried about this? Will I able able to flash a different rom, do and restore a nandroid back up with this warning?
If not what should I do to make the warning disappear?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

Thanks, I'm using original CWM. I was able to do nandroid back up without issues and then successfully flashed a ROM as well as mods.

I also get this no file_contexts error.
I updatet from CMW 6.0.3.3. to CMW 6.0.3.6 via ROM Manager. Than I reinstalled 6.0.3.6 again to see if error goes away, but this error is still there.
But it seems that error does not have an effect.

Yeah I just got my phone yesterday, and I've had this problem every time I've booted into CWM Recovery. I updated, tried different versions - didn't matter, still get the "no file_contexts" error.
I even tried TWRP and OUDHS Recovery, and had the same issue. I don't know what exactly is causing it, but it hasn't really negatively affected anything that I can see.
Just ignore it. Everything works fine.

Don't worry about it. Just about every current cwr for every phone has this "error". Just a harmless bug

I have the same error message and I have no problem making nandroid backups. I always check the option bank up to external sd card. It works perfectly fine. Also flashes go just fine too. Don't worry about the error message. Not sure but I think saying no files are backed up to INTERNAL storage which is fine because you generally want them stored on your EXTERNAL sd storage anyway. If they went to internal you would loose most of your phones memory with a few backups. So don't worry. All is well. Just store your nandroid to external sd card. When its time to restore simply choose backup from EXTE R NAL sd card. So don't worry about that message. Hope this helps
the error message is gone in CWM 6.0.4.4.

This is the Sprint section correct? Sprint phones are US variants right? My sig says I support the S3 and Galaxy Nexus right? Your signature says SPH-L710 right? Too many rights for it to be wrong.
If you sprint phone is not one of the new ones with the issue mounting storage then yes this will work for you. This updates your bootloader, fimware/modem to the latest md4 updates.

You downloaded that file right? When you boot into recovery click on flash zip from internal storage that's where it should be. Then look in the download folder.
When you download files you should be able to choose the download path, so that you know exactly where it's going.
I download everything to my external storage (sd card) then using root explorer I move it to my file system which I set up, roms, kernels, apps, mods, so on....

Use same fresh install method listed in any of my rom threads... I'm not sure about restoring messages I never do it but system data is usually a no no if you have issues with titanium download super su update your binary with the recovery method then go into titanium preferences and click the back up folder location option and change it from sdcard0 to legacy it will ask you if you want to move your back ups say yes then restart titanium and world will be right again
