[Q] Phone crashes upon plugging in charger - LG Optimus G (International)

Hi guys. Every time i plug in my charger while my phone is off, the LG logo will show for a brief moment, then the phone crashes. This resulted in a need for hard rebooting the phone. I've read online that this problem is caused by FreeGee aye? However, i don't experience such a problem on CM 10.1.x. Now that i have tried PA, CM 10.2.x, PAC etc, all of them crashes when i plug in my charger. Any idea on how to fix this? Or why CM 10.1.x does not experience this?

[Q] Mustavaalkos CM11 Nightly 20140124 charging crash

Hey guys, I am a big fan of Mustavaalkos his Nightly's, but I have an issue that cannot be solved by the thread there. I have clean-flashed the rom (tried different versions) more than 5 times and I keep getting the same problem. When I want to charge the phone it freezes and I cannot do anything about it. I do not have this with other roms. At first I can charge the phone, but after a few minutes the problems start. Restarting the phone does not help and the phone keeps crashing everytime I insert the cable (Via laptop and regular charger). Does somebody have a clue of what might be wrong?
I really hope somebody can help me, this is by far the best rom! I don't understand what the problem can be!

[Q] Charging while off issue

Encountered some strange issue. When I charge while my phone is off, the normal battery ''charging'' animation appears for a couple of seconds, then it shows the Oppo logo following with the vibration (just like when you power the phone on) then it goes back to the battery animation. (it loops like this over and over) It also seems like the device charges very slowly this way too. Any suggestions to a solution and to why this is happening?
Find 7 QHD, Gummy CWM recovery and latest AOSPA rom
Kind regards
my find 7a also facing same problem , can i know what is the problem?
Add me to the list of folks with this strange issue...
And me too
I experienced this today too. Had my heart in my throat when it happened. I thought it had gone into bootloop

[H815] Phone keeps rebooting when charger not connected

Hi all, I got a serious issue, it's going to be a long post, because I want to provide as much detail as possible, so please read my whole thread!
My LG G4 H815 keeps rebooting whenever my charger isn't connected, effectively making it unusable.
When I unplug my charger, my phone could be OK for like a couple of minutes, but then the screen would suddenly go black, the LG boot logo appears and tries to boot back into my ROM.
Once i'm on the simcard code insertion screen, I would type my code as usual, but upon pressing the check mark, my phone emmidiately shuts off again and reboots again into an endless rebooting cycle like this:
Black screen -> LG Logo -> Custom ROM boot animation -> Simcard code insertion screen -> I press the check mark after typing my code -> REPEAT EVERYTHING.
(Sometimes I'm not even done typing my code and it would still reboot)
I don't have the official charger anymore that comes with the phone and I don't remember what happened to it and where it is (I think it was broken or something), so I've used a very different charger for quite some time now.
I've had bootloop issues before back when I was still on stock LG firmware, unrooted and covered by warranty, I've sent it back for a repair once but now it seems that i'm having a problem again.
My warranty period is long expired, so returning it now would be pointless.
However, maybe the problem could be the battery as well, meaning that it might not be a faulty motherboard after all, but I'm not sure.
I tried shutdowns for cooldowns, a cache wipe, pulling out the battery and putting it back in, charging to 100% while the phone is off but all without luck.
I've had this problem on CypherOS, LineageOS and on AICP (which are all the custom ROMs that I ever tried on my G4)
PLEASE. HELP. I can't take this anymore! I have to constantly use my phone plugged into a charger and it's become impossible to use it without it! :crying:
(EDIT): Nevermind, I solved it by getting a new battery 2 months ago.

The phone stops charging when it starts to quick charge.

Yesterday I installed a 8.1 rom to my phone and it started to fail charging after 2 or 3 seconds when I plug it. I realized that it happens when the quick charge starts but it gets back to normal if I restart the phone while plugged in. I tried to install another rom but didnt solve the problem so I am looking for a solution.
Which rom do you using? Try some different kernel like birigio's BG345. Maybe it'll help.
The problem first occured on ToxycOS and then I've switched to AOSP extended, it still didnt work. I've also tried the BG345 kernel and it also didnt help
i experienced the same thing but in my case it was my cable was broken. I buy a new one and everything is good now

Question HELP! My POCO F3 is not charging! USB port does not seem to work anymore!!

Hi all, suddenly today I noticed that the POCO F3 is simply not charging. I tried connecting it to multiple different chargers, I tried connecting it to my laptop and nothing helps. It is simply not connecting to the laptop and the USB-C port does not seem to work! It is not charging at all!
My phone is at 28% battery! I need to fix this ASAP!! Help please!
I am using the Pixel Extended Android 12 (beta) ROM if that is relevant at all!
Update: Crisis averted. After a few reboots the phone is charging now. But I wonder why it had this problem to begin with? And can this problem re-appear again? Anyone have a similar experience?
There is a bug with the Pixel Extended ROM where the charging animations don't show up(see my post about it on the official thread here), the bug happens when you boot the ROM without charging it at the same time. The phone was actually charging just fine even when you thought it wasn't, but the animations and indicators didn't change. So charge your phone everytime you reboot and stop charging it after the phone boots up into the lock screen and the animations will show up fine.
Oh! I am glad it is a dumb software bug! So scary though... I thought I was toast!
