Ouya ToolBox v1.1.2 - 07/10/2013
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350900
Avira reports both regular and test version show superuser.apk infected by ADWARE/ANDR.Kuguo.141
Could someone please advise if my Ouya is now compromised, and if so, the best way to clean it.

OK , woke up this morning & had a quick check on the phone while it was in 'flight mode' (I do this to save battery life)
Got a shock when I noticed the Zoner Antivirus icon was 'RED'
Looking at the log file - it seems Zoner has found a threat called 'Exploit.AndroidOS.Lotoor.A' in 'Superuser'
Now IIRC the only things I've done over the week or so is manually updated a few Apps through Android market - none of which were 'SuperUser' or 'Zoner Antivirus'
(I guess Zoner auto updates anyway - but according to the log it was done 19/1/2012 & I didn't have the warning at all until today [23rd])
The only NEW app I've installed recently was 'AdAway' (I had 'Adfree' originally but some ads got through somehow - so thought I'll give this one a try)
I've also installed & ran 'Avast Mobile' to check & that one gives me the all clear
Question: Should I be worried - or is it a 'false positive' & I should 'ignore' it ??
[Phone is Desire HD, fully rooted with Android Revolution 6.3.1 installed]
Its the root stuff. No worries but just in case update your superuser.apk to newest ver.
Sent from my good old Galaxy S II. Hit thx if u think i helped and may the force be with u.
Thanks for the quick reply...
Can't update ATM while in work - there's no Wifi & I'm on PAYG data tariff - but do you know the latest version of Superuser ?
I currently have Superuser v3.0.7 (41) / Su binary v3.0.3
BTW - on subject of Antivirus Apps... which do you think is better 'Zoner Antivirus Free' or 'Avast Mobile Security' (also 'free') - or do you know of another (better) one - for free....
I know on PC's you should not have more than 1 antivirus running at a time - does the same apply for Android, as I have both 'running' ATM, but I like the idea of Avasts firewall/web shield (although I don't know if that works with other browser than the 'default android' one - not too sure about the antitheft though (sounds good but is it ??) but I read that 'Zoner' passed more tests than other free ones
Zoner is good. Superuser 3.0.7. Well no need to update then. Zoner just thinks everything root related is virus. Just ignore superuser BUT if it flags another random app i would be worried...

Once again.... Many thanks for the replies

Guys, the vpn API is supposed to be in ICS and up. I had this working on some kernel and Tweaked 2.5 (a 4.1.2 ROM) a while ago. Going back now, I cannot find any kernel which works with the various openVPN clients, all giving the same "missing vpn api" error after a clean install of Tweaked.
Any fricking idea what's up? I used the kun.to enabler in the market to no avail, even though I had never used that before when openVPN just worked previously. Am out of ideas!
kernels tried:
stock BMD1
Saber 45.3
Devil 0.21
PBJ (option in Tweaked)
Trinity (option in Tweaked)
Perseus Alpha
N.E.A.K.
edit: tried the various openVPN installers in the market, all to no avail. WTH? Beginning to wonder if openVPN is possible at all on a Note 2 4.1.2 ROM. Maybe I'm crazy and never had it running. Anyone?
[SOLVED]
For future reference for others...
After installing FeatVPN and getting error code M20, Googling revealed that was caused by a missing VpnDialogs.apk from /system/app.
I found a copy in this thread. DL'ed, copied over, done, problem solved.
Total mystery how I had openVPN working before on Tweaked.
Need help with mine.
I know this thread is a little out of date but I downloaded the apk and set the permissions.. tried to install it like normal and it will not install and tried to place it in the system/app folder.. have it on r- r- rw.. but every app I use says my android does not support vpn api or that it can not find the files.. I used to have it and just debloated my device never thinking I would use it and now I need it! Any help or ideas? Thank you! XD
Hello, i would like to ask for apk file (and maybe so file too if it's required) from, I believe, stock 2.3.7.
Since I got my gio I changed rom on it and lost swype. Later I purchased Swype beta from play store but it causes me all sorts of performance problems and I'd like to downgrade it to a less demanding version.
I did some snooping and found someone had similar request over there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1648347 I downloaded files from 2nd post and I am wondering whether should I use it, I don't want to break my phone any further than I already have.
Hey Guys,
Thank you for any help you may provide in advance, and please know I did a proper search before posting this.
I am currently using Malaysk firmware (April release) and have I am very happy with such a dev.
However there is one thing I would like to do; I would like to completely remove the Xposed framework and any trace remaining of it. (I already uninstalled the framework using the app)
This is due to the fact that the current app of my tv provider gets blocked when it discovers this and I would love to have this functionality back.
Could someone point me in the right direction on this topic?
Thx Again,
Gtrz Ecniv
Did it work before on an older version of Malaysk ROM? There are xposed apps that can prevent apps from seeing a modified system like Root Cloak there was one that you could type in specific modifications not sure the name though. Does a rooted device have a conflict with your app? there are apps that disable certain features or all if root is detected. I'm not sure where Xposed is located on the storage but a simple search in ES File Explorer might find it for you.
Hey bsavoir22,
Thx for the input, to be honest I can`t remember if I ever had it working on a Malaysk ROM however I do know what you are talking about; The Irdetto fix. Unfortunately I have tried and tested that and it won`t work I did have it running on a rooted previous firmware though (Non-Malaysk, rooted Stock GS firmware) in combination with root cloak that`s why I`m suspecting the Xposed framework.
That`s why I am interested in trying to remove the framework entirely as I love the ROMs made by Malaysk really would like all functionality back that I had on my old firmware.:good:

So hello everyone
I have been using an OPPO f1s (X9009)
For a lot of time I used intercepter ng android edition to check if I could intercept my cookies.
One day a friend asked if I could check one of his forums.
To my surprise, intercepter ng cannot even scan the network. Its scan process is not completed even after a lot of time.
I have busybox installed as well as supersu (if I had not then how would it have worked before )
I have done many edits to the device
Here are some which I remember
1)Installed hyper cola script
2)Installed newer system version (but it was working)
3)installed mac changer and selinux mode changer. 4)installed many xposed modules.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance
Edit -
I fixed it. The hyper cola script was not allowing a process to continue as it was causing CPU usage.
Thanks
