I want to know why ace 2 can't be overclock. thanks
Enviado desde mi GT-I8160 usando Tapatalk 4
In dev section, development thread. Look there for reply.
That Q was there xxx times
To bad it can`t be overclocked.. At least to 1ghZ.
Maybe someone should make a sticky tried on things that we cant do on Ace 2.. this would help newbies to Ace 2 forum
Then definitely such treads will become a minority:laugh:
Like we cant USB-OTG, Overclock

Sorry for my bad english!
I heard about the very overclock kernel for HTC Wildfire, which may overclock more than 1 GHz, and I need it:
I know that the CPU can overheat, but this doesn't happen with setcpu
Sorry for my bad english!
i also heard about this, i'm not too sure where it was, think it might of been on Modaco? but it was an overclock kernel in Beta with overclock in excess of 1ghz
Really? I would love to read a bit on this. Please provide a link if you have one, because I have never heard of this kernel.
my friend from 4pda.ru saw a man from xda, which have a wildfire with 1.2 ghz overclock, but my stupid friend didn't save the link
If it's stable enough to be usable for more then 5 mins I give it 30 mins before it gets too hot to hold.

Perhaps the battery wont hold it long enough to experience overheating? ;-)
Erwin
for me 700 GHz or less is good for a wildfire

Lol...... true, running at 768 and I can watch my battery gauge go down at least 25% per hour now imagine running at nearly double that speed, I'd have to take the battery out of my car and get the soldering iron out!

how than i want 800 mhz of 1 ghz
I was making fun of his typo. 700 GIGAHz is impossible on a wildfire
The rule for CPU's, in normal condiction, is to increase the clock max from 20 to 30%, Wildfire have one of 528 MHz and overclocking to 1GHz is too much, need a freezer.
I am running the stock 2.2 Froyo ROM and my phone is rooted.
What kernel should I use to be able to overclock my phone. I just reverted back to the stock ROM from CM7, which was giving me all sorts fof trouble, and want to be able to overclock the phone.
Thanks in advance!
nFinity 2.6.35 its the standard one in cm7 should work on stock rom
Isn't that rumour for Wildfire S..?
Would Be cool
That would be cool if you really get Wildire processor in 1GHZ . Please if somebody know something about it, Please tell. It Would Be So COOOL!
Help me please!!!
Hi,I am new to XDA developers...I have rooted HTC Wildfire S (Marvel) and CM10.1 installad. Can you please tell me how i can overclock my Wildfire S CPU to 1ghz or more?i have installad the Atutu CPU Controller and it only overclocks to 800 mhz.I saw a video in which Wildfire S is overclocked to 1200 mhz. Please help me out there...

well this is wildfire buzz section and you are asking in the wrong section and here goes your link which i can find somewhere Remember don't use too high frequencies, it will lead to high battery drain and may explode
here is the link:

Its possible he could of replaced the processor

Well there is no proper working kernel as yet to make 1 GHz over clock..900 Mhz is stable now..1 Ghz is making battery drain a lot..Try merruks Kernel it can OC upto 900 which is more than enough for G-Y as it does not have a GPU..

that just 'display'. internally still 832mhz. about 2-3 weeks after maroc's thread beginning i post some prof (with help from other members) that merruk kernel always run at 832mhz. try to search from merruk thread. and technically imposible for sgy cpu running at 900mhz without hardware modification.

i don't know. maroc himself find some other unbranded chines phone type that using same cpu running at 1Ghz (not exactly 1Ghz i guess), but they don't have kernel source. i am already half way to oc but i find deadlock, so i stop my research.
@gelouwk
1024mhz also not working

1 GHz has a lot of bugs
You can try 900 MHz Here
or this

GPU>>>>>
900 which is more than enough for G-Y as it does not have a GPU.
for your info...
it has a GPU called:
Broadcom BCM2763 VideoCore IV LPDDR2 128MB 1 gigapixel fill rate, 40nm

Right ..GPU is very important for OCs..
Also 900 MHz is also not working on our SGY..it shows it OCs to 900 but its at 832 only..Try searching through the merruks kernel topic and some members say that it isnt overclocking to 900 too..
Thnq guys for info.

I think the sega or rush kernels have this also. Wouldn't recommend it, to be honest. The difference between 1.6 and 2.0 is almost unnoticeable performance-wise but your battery life will suffer.
Thanks man

Overclocking to that frequency is close to deadly for our phones. Better just sell your phone, you get money, instead of just a brick.
Hello everybody i want to know what`s the max Frequency of the galaxy ace 2 processor, because i root it and in setCPU it show to me just 800 mhz in stock JB,and I heard that he has 1,2 GHz.Please help

Hi,
Stock, it's a dual core 800mhz.
In CpuSpy I have 200/400/800 (with a state time of 78h, I have 3% 800 / 0% 400 / 31% 200 / 64% Deep Sleep)

I dont think you searched.. Or youre very new.. Many custom kernels allow overclocking through trickster mod.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
franco.kernel is already overclocked at 512 MHz and it cant be changed. You can try dirtyV (dont know which other kernel has that function, ASKP maybe) but 512 Mhz is highest clock you can set so it means you are having maximum Overclock already

I tried Trickster mod, no GPU overclock function. Well as far as I checked I haven't seen any options.

Its strange how 2D games like Spaceteam has lag at parts but Real Racing 3 is as smooth as butter. Maybe there's a Chainfire add on to fix this?
