Root explorer or ES file explorer and delete apps you don't want in /system/ app

Mind you, for system apps you will need root access.
Titanium backup and root paid version just freeze them.

What bloatware do you think is in your Nexus 7 anyway? Just disable them using the built-in mechanism, no need to remove anything.
Yea I've compiled aroma installers just for removing bloatware but this is usually carrier related garbage or touchwiz/motoblur/sense stuff. None of that exists here so I wouldn't even spend the time creating that. I don't think there is any bloatware here just maybe "unwanted" apps. which once rooted can be easily removed or just frozen/disabled.
where are bloatwares in a stock jellybean rom?simply deactivate what you don't want\like..no need to cancel..for example a rom like bamf has built-in the tool to deactivate system\apps.very usefull for a person in yours position..
As a matter of interest what apps/files can be frozen via titanium? Anyone got a list of which are safe to remove?

I'm interested in this too. My device isn't yet rooted. You can force stop apps from settings but I believe they start up again at reboot which is annoying. Maybe time to root my device!

NO! There is a Disable button on the same screen with the Force Close that disables apps since ICS.
Tapatalk 4 beta version is out and so far I like it especially for being beta still! It's much more refined and it can do more than before. Enjoy...

Yeah I was just about to start a thread on this. It is petty nice. They skipped Tapatalk 3 because this their 4year anniversary.

It looks real nice but I can't seem to find myself to our sgs3 forum.

None of my login info was remembered when going from v2 to v4. Thought that was the purpose of having a Tapatalk login. Subs didn't show up, had to find forums, unsub, then resub for them to show up.
Read markers still not functioning properly (read: at all).
UI looks nice. Lots of change. Seems a little clusmy, though.
It does still need work, but it is in beta.
Did it replace your older version of tapatalk? If not thats why it didn't haave you're subs.
Maybe you could try copying one of the data files from the old to the new version. I think the subscribed topics is stored in the .db file. If the database structure isnt too different it should work. Otherwise it may freeze and/or crash.
Anyway, im sure once its out of beta there will be a way to import your subscriptions or itll more likely just update like normal apps at that point.

Right now, it's a separate download in the playstore as Tapatalk 4. Was unaware subs were stored in a db file locally (doesn't make much sense) - although, it seemed to remember my subs, but wouldn't display them until I un/resubbed to them.
First time user not a bad app so far.

It's a nice update to Tapatalk 2...definitely feels smoother and looks better too.
Is there anyway to modify the built in App killer.. (when you hold the home button and press the garbage can) to where when you kill apps it doesn't kill certain ones?
Thanks!
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Yeah when you hold the home button and those apps come up, just slide the ones you want killed off the screen.

There's not a way from what I've seen to be able to ignore certain apps using the default one. Your probably going to need to use a 3rdparty app and just whitelist some apps. I believe battery docotor let's you do it. And you can probably try advanced task killer or even fast reboot. You might just need to spend a good few minutes on the play store and find one that works the way you want.
Can I suggest Greenify, it hibernates the apps and are instantly available when you call on them. Then you do not have to worry about which apps are left running in the background.

The only 3rd party app that's good is greenify.

I thought of that as soon as I posted this thread..

I was going to make my own thread but I figured I'd just post on this one. What about having the aosp app switcher/killer (whatever it's called, the thing cbass15 asked about) on a tw rom?
I've noticed so many aosp features on tw now I'm starting to feel greedy but I just wanted to know if it was possible

Hi everyone.
So I got my LG pro yesterday and everything is great except my Facebook app. It shows I have version 3.5. The control bar shows up on the bottom of the screen is the first issue. Then I do not have a way to change my news feed to most recent, there is no gear to push and no matter what I do it won't show in my favorites. Also messages will not show a gear as well allowing me to see my other folder.
When I go to edit favorites it shows both news feed and messages there yet when I look neither are showing under favorites. What is going on with this phone? This is almost a deal breaker since I run a business on Facebook. Thanks for any help

It comes with fb preinstalled so it might take a bit for it to update to the latest version on play.
You could always root and remove FB app from system folder and reboot and install latest from Play.
3.5 is the latest version though, I tried deleting a and reinstalling twice already. Can someone check their phone to see if they have these options. This may be a deal killer for the phone itself

Does that say lake Charles???as in lake Charles LA?Just wondering....
Here is what mine looks like and it says my FB app is v 3.5..
Search before you ask!!
I don't know what to do? Any suggestions? Is this where your menu bar is at the bottom for facebook too?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 4
Ok I fixed it. In case anyone has this issue let me explain what I did. When I got the phone, I immediately updated the application before signing in. This caused my Facebook to be throwing errors.
The only way to fix it was to delete everything you could including data and the Facebook update. Then login to the original application that came with the phone. Once logged in, then update the application. Problem solved. For some reason even if I deleted the update Then redownloaded it again before signing in,it wouldn't fix i. Only signing in BEFORE updating solved it.

Maybe since you just got it, and fb is that important you should do a factory reset of the device then take your time setting it up?? Just a thought...

I really like Sense 6 and Blinkfeed, but the folders are terrible. There isn't an easy way to organize them and they have are limited to 16 apps.
Are there any solutions, that will allow me to improve the folder experience and keep Sense 6?
I've tried an Xposed module Sense Toolbox 6, but it didn't do anything.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
Are you sure xposed is enabled? Open xposed installer and check environment.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
It is enabled. I have a few other modules and they work.
Im not sure I have the latest Sense 6 Toolbox, because it's a beta and the Xposed download page thinks it's Sense Toolbox 5.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
I just downloaded the version that came out yesterday, and it seems to work.
Organizing folders is still cumbersome, but the limit restriction has been lifted.
