Personally I prefer to put the stock software (including recovery) on the phone prior to locking.

No problem. Although if you lock it you will have to unlock it again to flash another rom/kernel and unlocking it wipes your phone so its just as easy to leave it unlocked.
don't re-lock it. You'll wipe your device unlocking it again. Just leave unlocked there's no reason not to.

Bootloader is not unlocking

Hi! I want to unlock by bootloader.. Got my code from Sony Mobile unlocking website.. Starting in fastboot mode then in cmd I type this " fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version" then Enter
I got the value 0.3 i.e it is connected
Now second step " fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x My KEY" then I press enter... Now it shows unlocking failed what is the problem anybody knows???

Try with format and wipe data / factory reset before flashing.

Yikes S-on and locked? I don't know if you can flash an RUU in this state, can you try? Hopefully someone answers, I haven't tried and I'm also not sure :-\
Can you execute the command:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
and put the phone into RUU mode? If so, then you should be able to flash the firmware from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485319
the one you want is this one: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319196969 (stock odex)
Thanks i will try this when i get home

No luck i can do the oem fastboot ruu thing but when flash firmware i get unknown partion error

What were you doing that got you stuck in boot loader? Were you previously S-Off or unlocked?
I was trying to flash recovery then my wife hit wrong button on toolkit and ended up locking it snd s off
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app
You mean setting it back to s-on...
my guess is you need to find the encrypted RUU from somewhere. You may be able to find the decrypted RUU then you can use a tool to make it encrypted (ruuveal?) That should let it run when you are locked and s-on
I downloaded ruuveal but not sure jow to work it

I'm not sure either, depending which version you're on, try this thread:

see what the last guy posted? he had the same problem as you.

Does relocking bootloader restore widevine L1?

Same as in the title, will I get back the L1 certification after I relock the bootloader, or are they keys gone forever?
It does not wipe the keys. You should have L1 back after relocking the bootloader.
Be careful though, make you're 100% before locking it.

Boot into fastboot and type the command.
