Hi everybody,
I wiped my hox system by error and now it's turned off and don't charge anymore!
Does someone have a solution, there is no more system in my phone and i can't charge it. Last time i saw it on, the recovery was working fine.
Thx in advance
Can you still boot to the bootloader and recovery ?
Of so then tell me exactly wich recovery you have installed !?
Try charging it in recovery.Depending on the recovery you have, you might be able to charge it.
If not, try charging it in fastboot.
I have made you a .rar. Look in attachaments.
Just de-encrypt and start the Charge.bat while the phone is in fastboot. It will slowly charge..
PS: Always scan files with https://www.virustotal.com/en/.
Guys i know you want to help but are you going to post all those things everywhere where i asked the question about what and how......because if so.....then i am out.
Its so annoying to get notifications on threads where i see this everytime.
Ok, sorry.Won't happen again.Just trying to help...
I know that but i get notifications all the time but the OP didn't respond. now info is given wich might confuse the OP even more than it is a help.
Its not ment in a bad way but its too much at one time.

Ok, so I was trying to get my Evo running on the Verizon network, and ended up messing with some NV items that I probably shouldn't have. Long story short it's stuck in a boot loop. I can get to the bootloader just fine, but recovery is a no-go. Also, I was able to do an RUU flash from fastboot, but that didn't fix the boot loop. What should I do?! Please help me!
Sounds like you took a big step and should not have. Next why would you want to go to Verizon? you can not use 4g over there. i think there is a post here or on another android site on getting your phone out of a boot loop with no recovery. Search is your friend

I found a solution to this exact problem.

I found a solution to this exact problem after I wrote some nv items from a boost phone. no recovery, evo 4g boot loop over and over till the battery dies and only fastboot commands work. dont even think about saying flashing the boot or system images to fix this thats a no no, it will not work although it wont break the phone either. If anyone is in this same awful position and cant find a fix just pm me or reply to this post and i'll write a full tutorial of what i did. I just dont wanna waste my time and there might be an answer out there already. All i know is that I could'nt find one anywhere and I am literally a part of every mobile forum you can think of. Anyone interested?

Please refer to the post below for a fix. This will in no way help you if you started having reboots and then a bootloop while running CM7. It is meant to fix issues that come from corrupted NV items only.

I am experiencing the boot loop issue also. Really weird, all I have done is root via UnRevoked, use Rom Manager to install CM 6.1.2, and been running this ROM exclusively. I have never overclocked, or even installed or used any task killers in CM 6... I started noticing a couple weeks ago some odd force closes and sync issues with gmail that would come and go. Then, my phone would reboot every once in a while. Sometimes when I was using it, most of the time while it was just sitting on the counter. Then one day it just started the boot loop. Vibrate, white HTC Evo screen for a few seconds, then dark again, over and over. I can't boot into recovery, and have tried a bunch of recovery images (they unpack and update succeeds but attempting to boot to recovery just starts the loop again). I thought about unrooting and bringing the phone back to the store but the instructions I found for unrooting require me to at least get into recovery.... At the time I rooted (Sept '10) I had all the latest OTA... any advice for me to try?

Update
So I never could fix this issue, although I got some really great suggestions and learned a lot from cutthroatamft.
Ended up just deciding to completely brick the phone (in case the Sprint tech might check my bootloader screen for S-OFF). To do this, I just removed the battery while I was flashing an engineering image (while it was updating the radio). After that, not only would the phone not power on at all, but the charging LED wouldn't even light up when plugged in to a power source. They gave me a refurbed Evo.
Haha, I was able to fix my Evo (dont remember what I did) but I have since sold it.

Do you mind pointing me to the image you flashed? I just pulled the battery while flashing a radio, but i'm still booting haha.
You should find it fairly easy if you search Google for eng-pc36img.zip
Looks like the first link.

I wish I could, but honestly it's been so long that I dont have any idea.
Thanks cutthroat.
dwreck, at what point did you pull?
I've pulled it twice while it was updating Radio_V2, with the red bar about 1/3 of the way, and nothing about my phone seems to change.
Did you pull a little later? Or did you pull during Radio_Cust? That thing is hard to catch, it updates quickly.
My friend says it took him about a hundred times to fully brick his Evo. Just keep trying I suppose.

Sprint was backordered on Evo's. It might take me more than a week to get another one, and it's still 35 bucks. Cutthroat or dwreck, do either of you guys know if it would be safe for me to send my Evo into HTC? I did the battery pull (it took about 20 tries) and the phone doesn't turn on, no led or anything. Will htc know it's rooted regardless?
You should be fine to send it to HTC, my friend has gotten two replaced that exact way. He had no issues with them finding out his were rooted.

I'd just like to take a sec to give props to cutthroat. His guide is GREAT if you've screwed up your NV files (unfortunately that wasn't my problem). Anyways I appreciate you helping me out even after that.
I just rooted my HTC Desire and installed CM7 on it (loved it on my HTC Legend). But suddenly today, after I turned Wifi on, it started rebooting all the time, couldn't do anything to stop it. I thought "Hey, there was the radio flash thing in the tutorial that I didn't do yet, I'll try that out" so I flashed the radio. Then I chose reboot system, but it just booted to a logo with an android coming out of a trash can, and looked kinda stuck there. So I took out the battery and plugged back in. Now if I try to turn it on, it'll just vibrate 7 times - no picture or anything. Also there's no LED when I plug it to the charger.
I had those 7 vibrates too.
Happened after i flashed the cm7 hboot over my stock hboot while trying to enter recovery. After i re-flashed my recovery using fastboot, everything worked again. What happens if you try to power up while holding down vol- ? Did you use fastboot or your phones recovery mode to install the radio?
I am not able to start in recovery or anything. I tried vol. down + power and back + power and no matter what I try, it just vibrates 7 times. I used the recovery mode to install the radio.
You could try to connect your phone via usb and check if fastboot discovers your device. If yes, flash hboot and recovery using fastboot. If not, well... i dont have a clue. Sorry :/
Computer discovers nothing when I plug in the phone.
Bad news when u pulled battery u interrupt the process n u now have a bricked device I would b very surprised if u managed to do anything

For the record to help some of you out who ended up here Googling: I had a similar issue. My HTC Desire SV did not boot, and when charging, only had an orange flashing light, and the phone vibrated 7 times. I did 2 things that got it back up:
1) left the phone off for say 10 minutes (I read about overheating issues in general, although the phone did not feel hot).
2) removed the battery for a couple of minutes.
VERY IMPORTANT: for step 2: make sure to have the battery removed long enough to drain internal charge. I removed and installed the battery in a second or so at first, and still the phone did not boot. After leaving out the battery long enough, it booted again. It appears to me that the issue in my case was a rather big internal charge capacity which kept internal state (memory and/or CPU?) from booting. Hope this helps...
Hello, I have a problem with my desire. I'm on Insertcoin latest Rom for almost a year and during this time my phone works great, no reboots or freezing, it's fast... But whenever I power it off I have too plug the charger and then the phone will start. If I don't plug it in, it won't start, it's dead and have no response. Also if I don't plug the charger and remove battery and return it in, it also doesn't start. Only with charger.
Rebooting works without charger. The battery is fine, it lasts 3-5 days, did a power off with 100% and won't start.
I was waiting for ICS to try another ROM but it still in beta and this powering problem is bothering me for some time.
I even tried different radios today and I upgraded to latest CW recovery 5.8.0.2 and did Revolutionary to HBOOT S-OFF but the problem still persists. Do you have maybe some idea on what could be the problem? I've search the forum and googled before posting and couldn't find identical problem with Desire (only worst, bricked etc.)
I have also tried clearing battery stats and davlik, also did a complete whipe and reinstalling rom again and the problem still presists...
Thank you for your answer.
Anybody?
IM IN THE SAME BOAT here...
but im on stock rom... still 2.1 eclair..
No response and this is my first post :-D
I would ask in developers insertcoin thread but I can't becaue of the 10 posts rule for newcomers... So if anyone can move my questions there I would appreciate it
long shot:
do you have a fastboot setting? it's a little while since i used a sense rom
menu->settings->power?
untick fastboot
or somewhere within the settings to untick any fastboot option (if it exists)
once again this is a long shot suggestion, may be completely wrong. looks like a strange bug.
hopefully there is some solution out there, otherwise just don't turn it off!

Wooow ,tnx man! It worked I had setting that says:
Fastboot
Turn off to use some Market apps
And this setting is unticked and I can't power it on without charger. If I tick it on, the phone starts up very fast when I power it off and it works! Without a charger!
I did find through search on xda that the fastboot could be a possible problem but I thought that mine is already off (because it was unticked). But acctualy it was on... Grrrr, what a noob am I : ))

Hey, i am having Same problem can u tell me how did you solved it
Thanks,
So I am totally lost. Have exhausted all my knowledge on these issues, but i will take u guys through my process step by step.
Right now my problem is that i am unable to charge my one x in any way. it will only respond to being connected through my pc and obviously that wont charge very well. My phone will boot to the home screen but will go from being 35% charged to 0% and just reboot. what lead up to this was my installing android revolution 1.2.2 along with the interim clockwork mod. Upon reboot is where all the problems began. I accidently forgot to wipe before installing and now this is where im at. Cant boot into recovery. cant load default recovery because battery is too low. nothing except this impossible battery screw up is all i get. and now oncve i unplug my phone from pc, its shuts down after a few moments with no charge. Im at my wits end guys. anyone know what i can do?

I assume you were on 1.19 software? This happened to a friend yesterday. He ended up fastboot erase cache. Fast boot reboot bootloader. Get into recovery and plug up to ac power. The light comes on for a min. Or so then goes off. When it goes off unplugg it then plug it back in. Keep this up till you have some juice. Then fastboot flash the stock recovery relock bootloader, then get ruu 1.26.707. Run that ruu and it should boot. After that you can flash all the roms you want.

Thanks so much, I will try and let u guys know what is going on. FYI i dont see a fastboot erase cache on my screen so how would i go about doing that?
So i locked my oem back before i could boot stock revocery and stock ruu. anyone know how i would ebable to unlock my oem. ADB doesnt appear to re open it with the unlock command. i get a command error message. And yes the bin file from htc is in the fastboot folder. smh
I cant get a charge and the fastboot wont let me unlock oem or load a new recovery.... what now?
cmon guys, i spent 10 hours trying to fix this yesterday, im close to just chucking this thing into the garbage and going back to my nexus. someone please give a little help. i cant charge the phone so i cant load any stock RUU. fastboot is pretty much useless right now. nothing seems to do anything other than show a list of commands when i try to unlock oem again. im desperate so someone please help

I don't know what to tell you bro. If you locked the bootloader before putting stock recovery back on the phone. An ruu won't work anyway. Have you tried fastbooting a system.IMG and a boot.IMG. to see if it might boot? If you have your bin file from when you first unlocked. Try sending that again to unlock. Hopefully someone will pop in and give you a hand.

Did you do a backup after brick?
I have a copy of the main files... (data.img, system.img and boot.img).
i Use this commands:
Examples
Manual Nandroid restore
Make a Nandroid backup, and copy the folder off your SD card to your desktop.
cd ~/Desktop/path/to/backup/
fastboot flash userdata data.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
MORE INFO HERE.
For the battery... try a charger with little more volts or amperes... you can buy some usb chargers on any electronic store.
thanks i will get on it and let u know what happens. Much appreciated! I did not do a backup after brick but before brick i did. I am using the transformer prime charger its a quad core tablet and it reads as having higher volts/amp than all my others.
your one x stills bricked?
No solution?
This may sound stupid and it might have already been asked befor but idk what else to try. So I had my kindle rooted and had a coustom rom on it and I wanted to change roms. So I went to wipe the system and do factory reset/wipe data and the batery died and when I finally turned it back on I wasn't able to get into twrp at all so I tried doing fastboot and acouple other thing and now I don't know how but I'm not even able to turn it on and I've let it sit on the charger for almost a day. I'm fairly good with computers but I just can't figure out what to do.
Thank you for the help ahead of time and any reply at all would be great
Plz read this carefully: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1638452
so u need to use Kindle Fire Utilities to change to fastboot mode and use fastboot commands to copy bootloader & recovery into the device. good with computers is not enough if u dont read the manual thoroughly. I started only 4 weeks ago and faced many problems but searching & reading solved most cases.
gud luck with ur device.
I have already read through all of that so im going to try firekit in the morning

Er... if it's really a battery issue, you need to read this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623244
Hopefully, you have FFF 1.4a installed and it can put you into the low battery charge mode. Use USB power from your computer to do this. Some members have also mentioned that plugging in a power source then forcing the device off (by pressing and holding the power button until it powers down) will charge it enough for it to boot completely. At that point, the system software should be able to charge it the rest of the way.
@dumber89 - Kudos to you for doing it right... it's good to see new blood helping themselves to the material out there. :good:
My case is that I hv to replace the bootloader and recovery with latest ones. it was bricked once or twice but I had similar experiences with Symbian so I didnt panic n read ur manual carefully. It's lucky for us that the ROM cant be malfunctioned easily.
Most important thing for newbies like me, I think, is to be patient.
