So hey I've downloaded the zip someone recommended, and that kept force closing. I was wanting to change how I could activate the s voice feature, but that forced closed. I also tried the apk version of the Svoice, but it kept saying can't cannot to network. Anyway. I'm running pacman nightly v6. I really don't need the s4 voice just the regular Svoice apk. That works by the way. But the s4 voice apk would be nice. I enjoy that feature. And I was getting tired of stock.

Ok here ya go.
Here is the regular S-VOICE:

And here is the S4 voice:
http://db.tt/dutNdyZT
Now you have a choice, and both of them work for me. You can just open the S4 voice and then install the apk from the zip file!

Has anyone been able to get either of these apps to install AND function properly on our phone?
I was able to get SMemo installed, and I could open it, but as soon as I clicked the icon to create a new note it would FC...
Maybe someone could port or grab the S3 version and modify it to our screen size?
Bump

So I was able to get SMemo Lite working from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687243&page=3
This allowed me to "write" in apps that allow it such as My Story. However, it didn't give me the actual SMemo app. I assumed since I could now write, if I installed the app it would work...not so. It installs, but FCs everytime I open it. Anyone have any more progress than this?
I am running stock, rooted FE22 with TW5.
So is nobody else interested in getting SMemo to work?

Now that S3 is out, and it has S Memo on it, any chance someone could port it over to our phone?
Well I wanted it a lot at one point but I kinda stopped caring

Really simple. Can some1 drop the apk for the JellyBean VoiceSearch and any other apks directly related to it functioning properly? Thanks much in advance.
I found this in the Gnex section, let's try.
What is Velvet.apk for?
Is the name of the app extracted from the nexus, the voice recognition

I just tried to install it on foxhound 0.6 and siyah. It's not working either.
I'm going to try to push it as a system app in the jelly bean port rom.
Will update shortly after the flash

Update: with its normal apk, it didn't work yesterday.
I changed the original apk with the one you posted here, and then it worked.
We don't have connections, radio or wifi, on that port, so I couldn't test if it really worked, but atleast we know that it's opening without force closes.
I think it has something to do with the new APIs, but I really hope I'm wrong
I don't have an apk called velvet in sys/app..

Let me explain myself better:
Yesterday night I installed the 4.1 ported rom but the voice search was force closing.
I came back to ics, and tried to install the app. As you also saw by yourselves, it's not working on ics.
I then decided to try again on jelly bean, but before flashing I changed the original voice search apk with this one. Then I flashed the rom and whilst the engine keep force closing as soon as you try the speech test, the application itself is able to launch without force closing.
Long story short: on ics it's not working for me either; on jelly bean it does, but the ported rom has no connectivity so I couldn't test it.
I downloaded the .apk file and tried to install it. Its says Parse error: There is a problem parsing the package.
The apk's from the Galaxy Nexus are odexed in stock form. There is a velvet.apk and a velvet.odex file along with it! The velvet.apk only will not do the trick; it has to be a de-odexed version of it to begin with!
Is the file from the OP a de-odexed version?
I would love this working my Galaxy SIII!

Hated the touchwiz messaging app so kept trying to use the MMS.apks from aosp and cm10 and everything would work but when I would get a picture message it would FC. finally got it to work flawlessly.
I'm on jellybomb lj7 and everything works flawlessly for me. There is no quick reply, that's a CM10 feature.
Let me know if it works for you.
http://db.tt/yU4ZQnfV push to system/app, fix permissions and reboot.
Awesome! Only thing I don't like is that you can't swype to call or text that was very useful but it does come with emoij so that is good. I am downloading and installing now. Thanks bro.
I'd love to fix this issue with the AOSP Inverted MMS app.
Any interest in getting you to look at that one?
I'm sure it's the same issue as you had. FCs when you try to attach anything to MMS.
BTW the inverted version is gorgeous!
How do I get the emojis?
Go enable them under MMS settings and scroll down. To add them in a text hit the menu button then 'insert emoji'.

While I'm no noob, I never understood how to make an application work after pushing it to system/app and fixing permissions. What do I do after? Did I miss a step? Anybody care to give me step by step because I HATE the laggy messaging application Samsung gives us

You rock! I recently switched back to a TW based ROM after getting tired of dropped and lousy LTE/3g signal in good coverage areas (yeah, Sprint does have some lol) on AOKP and CM. The Email/Exchange APKs transferred over flawlessly, but the MMS crashing when a pic was in the thread was unbearable.... it's working 100% just as the title says !
I am still stuck on the emojis here, I know they are stupid but bugging me lol. I I have 2 phones here and sending them to each other isn't work and same goes with I phone they will only get 1 or 2 of them.
Any clue?
What ROM u on?

Every sms i receive starts a NEW thread.
Anyone have this problem?
I had the same problem with the 4.1 Mms.apk
(Used titanium to uninstall samsung SMS app & esExplorer to copy mms.apk to system and grant permissions).
Anyone else having issues with picture messaging not sending?
Since S4 ROM is out, we get to have so much Sammy goodies. One of them is new S Voice.
