I just got a micro usb with flowing led lights going up the cable and have been going crazy looking for a matching cable for my note 10.1.
Has anyone had any luck and found one?

It works flawlessly!
The picture quality and sound is perfect.
My only gripe is that the phone screen stays on during the mirroring...
Is there anyway to get it to not do this?
Kind of like on my laptop, when I hook HDMI up, I can disable the Laptop screen until the cable is unplugged.
Not that I know of currently you still need your phone to interact with the screen right?

Doubful since it is mirroring the screen and you turn the screen off there is nothing to mirror. If your using it to watch a movie just turn the phone upside down.

on the side of the ikross should be a place to power it through micro usb plugged into the wall.

Since this thread has quite some time now i was wondering if there is now a way to turn off the phone display while MHL mirroring? Is it even possible?

can anyone post the pinout for the usb cable for note 2? ive been trying to use it to odin my gs2 with no success, only to realize the new cable seems to be missing one of the metal pieces at the microusb end
would anyone mind checking out their usb cable for me and tell me if it all looks normal on their end?

I just looked at mine. Pin 4 looks to be missing but USB to MicroUSB read out is:
1:1
2:2
3:3
4:5
With 1 and 4 on USB side power and 2 and 3 data. 4 is used as ID pin on MicroUSB side. When 4 is open, no iD and cable is normal. Grounded pits device into USB OTG host. Certain resistance values put phone into car mode or dock mode etc depending on phone and on resistsmce value.

Most likely to save a few pennies. The metal costs money, and since it would not be connected to anything anyway (it would be an open pin) there is no need for it.
If you want to see some awesome pin outs. Electodroid has a lot if them

Might make it easier to understand since there are pics.

Hi guys,
Dog chewed the cable and so far I've tried a replacement cable from poundland, Asda (Polaroid) and both slow charge.
Does anyone know of a decent USB cable I can get from a shop that will charge like the official cable.

I bought this one from Amazon and it seems to charge the same as the original cable.
AmazonBasics USB Cable - 2.0 A Male to Micro B (6 Feet / 1.8 Meters)
Hello! Today I encountered a big problem with the USB cable. I was charging my phone, and suddenly, it stopped charging at 93%. I thought it was something wrong with the phone, restarted it, but the problem persisted. I took the USB cable and hooked it to my laptop, but it didn't recognize the phone. I took my mom's USB cable from her Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500, plugged into my charger and it worked flawlessly, the laptop recognized the phone, and I could charge it to 100%. The problem is with the original cable. Will the Samsung mini 2 cable charge my Note II as fast as the original USB cable?

It most probably won't. (What's the output voltage of the charger?) Take a pic if possible. (Not the cable, the thing that u stuff into the socket. The cable (should) charge as fast as the original)
Smack that thanks button if I helped!

P.S. replies with quotes will be replied to faster.
It's the original note II charger. The white cable is the original cable, and the black one is the mini 2 cable. The charger is working, only the cable doesnt. I wanted to know if the black cable is the same as the white one when charging.

Hope so. I thought S and Note series had special USB cables. And i also noticed this cable is like 10cm shorter, but I'll keep using it. Thanks.
