I wanted to know if its possible to sideload [ROM][STOCK]Plus
while in recovery mode using the alt-sysrq keys and i then once i get to the recovery menu, then select ''update from adb''
and then on pc i run the command "adb sideload RC-OUYA-1.0.193-r1_ota.zip"
but change the file RC-OUYA-1.0.193-r1_ota.zip for OUYA-StockPlus-1.0.346-RC3.zip ?
like its possible?
Anyways
thx
I think so its not possible.... you need to install CWM before to install a custom rom.
I'm trying to do that but I had problems with the screen resolution

Hi,
I was wondering if i could enter recovery on my desire without connecting it to the computer, like I used to on my dream. Isn't there a recovery that I could store on my phone?
Thanks in advance
There is fake flash which you can download and launch through the app Rom Manager.
Or there is now UnrEVOked. Which flashes a permanent copy of fake flash (clockwork mod) which is basically a permanent custom recovery image.

how to get into CMD recovery
do i have to use computer everytime when i want to enter?
or there is a quicker way to enter?
If you mean CMW, you need to install a custom kernel or CM7 to use it via the phone.

My htc one v (virgin mobile) (no simcard) (i think is CDMA) is not installing any backup recovery program no matter how many times i try to install it.I installed ROM Manager after unlocking bootloader and installing the CDMA version of root. After rooting it i finally clicked install the CWM from the ROM Manager. Everytime that i try to boot into recovery or make a back up it either freezes at the HTC screen which has red lettering that says that i shouldn't distribute htc stuff but i don't know what i'm doing wrong. I've followed many tutorials but i don't know why this is happening. I downloaded rootchecker and checked to see if i was rooted and it said that i was. I have SuperSU and everything. What am i doing wrong and how can i fix this so i can enter recovery mode to make backups so i can flash various roms? Please help me. Thank you
You need fastboot flash to install the recovery. Installing the recovery thru ROM manager may not work.
Here you can have link to the recovery : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31868324&postcount=4
You need to boot your device in fastboot mode (same way like you first unlock the bootloader) then run command
fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery,img

i dont know the correct command for that but i suggest u use this toolkit.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389107
first, try advanced utilities > modified boot.img.
(download stock or rename any suits boot.img)
if still not work, just use the 'back to stock' command
what is odin boot ?

So the only way I can get to TWRP is by flashing it.
Everytime I do the button combination to go to recovery while the phone is off, it takes me to the LG thing and says "would you like to reset to factory settings?" and only says "yes" or "no."
No TWRP at all.
If I choose yes, then all my data is gone. If I choose no, then nothing happens.
The only way I can get to TWRP is to go on fastboot, and do "fastboot boot twrp.img"
If I do "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" then it does nothing.
Any help is appreciated.

You can either try this, or you maybe need another method. I had the same problem when I installed TWRP on 6.0. It didn't seem to be properly installed. What I did was
- Use LGUP to go back to 5.1 Stock ROM
- Root it following THESE instructions
- Install TWRP (Works flawlessly on 5.1 and you can use Quick Boot from the play store to check if it works)
- And THEN Upgrade to 6.0 with autoprime's Guide --> THIS one
After I did this I had rooted 6.0 with TWRP working. Maybe this will solve your problem. Cheers
the recovery is there, just say yes and yes and it will load

It just wipes my phone.
If you're at TWRP, reboot with it into TWRP again. Just follow the instructions and deny SU-things, you get presented. You can also flash SuperSU through it, boot up, install Flashify and install TWRP with it - also works great (did it this way). Just download TWRP from the official source & don't download it through Flashify.
You have only copy the twrp-xxx.img to your internal storage or sd card.
Boot via adb into TWRP, go to install, choose the twrp-xxx.img flash it as revovery and thats it.
Now you can rebooter apps to boot direcly into recovery or use the power down/power key combination during while you power the phone.
