I basically plan on getting a bad ESN Nexus off of Ebay (great phone for cheap) and flashing it to Cricket.
I just haven't fund a tutorial that works for everyone and I dont really know anything about radios and PLR's.
So can someone point me to a tutorial on how to flash?
Or can I just follow an unlock tutorial and it will work just the same?
Sorry if Im posting in the wrong place or breaking any rules. I havent been on XDA in a while. Im trying to switch back to Android from my i****.
Thanks!

Is this what you're after? Keep in mind that it's a thread for the CDMA variants.

I know i'm not the only one but i'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. In short, I bought a new Evo 4G used, its not even 2 weeks old. Gingerbread is on it (4.22.651.2) and im waiting for the ability to root /unroot [which way im not sure] and last i was told its Ruu is not made or found yet. Please make this an easy transition and let me know here if the Ruu is created and if the steps will be different than the other steps you've guys shown here and on youtube, please! Also, I'm paying for Boost's blackberry service (60 bux a month) which i won't need when i get the Evo 4G going. I would be over grateful for your patience and consideration. Also, i did do my due diligence to look for all the info and tried several rooting options i.e.: Unrevoked3 and so on, with no luck.
Thanks!!
Have you tried here?

If you would have looked harder (sarcasm), you would have found that there is not root method for the newest OTA update. There are dozens of threads pointing this out.
Thanks, tgruendler [re-sarcasm] I did indicate that i knew the OTA wasn't able to be rooted yet HOWEVERm if it did come about if it could be posted here, i'd Highly appreciate it since there is a TON of information throughout the site! Yet, Thanks for the Razzin'

Not sure I understand your question but I presently have a Blackberry 8530 on Boost mobile but i just bought a Evo 4G which it seems to have been updated to Gingerbread 2.3.3. I can not root it to switch it to boost. I don't know if anything in your thread helped. But thanks!
you dont need root in order to get it on boost mobile
you just need to fix some things ,, due to forum rules i dont know the legal wording to use .....but on gb its a lil tricky to get the info fixed and that is where i am in this moment in time
Thanks for your reply. I've been doing alot of reading yet I'm still gun shy. Can anyone let me know if this thread is what i'm looking for?

The issue i felt i had before was no Ruu for GB, is this saying there is one? I accept n00bness so please be nice in advance. Thanks

the ruu they are talking about is a rooted version that'd only work if you didn't have stock 4.22 on your phone. Just keep waiting...

They don't allow talk of piracy or "swaps" on xda.. TV's will probably be closed which is Good because you won't find anything here anyway.. Google a blog of a developer here in this section.. they have a link in their sign too.. has everything you need to know. Google has way more than enough info.

If it was hard to follow perhaps Google the things you don't understand and read until you do, its not that hard. Also how are you possibly having trouble locating Cdma workshop, its the first result when you search for cdma workshop....no one is going to spoonfeed you, read and learn, Google is your friend

Son,maybe you need to go back and read my post. Ive been reading on it for 2 weeks. And all the cdma DLs are corrupt. Now bfore u go apechit,i understand i need to turn of AV. Certain cracked files are noticed by AV to hav keygens. Wich tells the file is infected. Its not. But when proceeding, entering the key code to. Nothin happens. Thats the topic here. TROUBLE DLing cdma ws. Sorry if i come off being harsh. Ive never been spoon fed in anything. And not asking. Just a workable link.
If anyone knows anything about Android its chris. So take what he says as the truth. Also the software is out there but the links can't be posted here for obvious reasons. Google is your friend.
Edit: also I have flashed several cdma phones with no issues. Its really easy if you follow the guide.

Is this possible yet? I've seen a few tutorials (on other websites) talking about flashing their AT&T Note II back to stock with the following file ..."KIES_HOME_I317UCALJ2_I317ATTALJ2_215287_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5" using Odin.
Although I haven't seen anyone say whether it was successful or not. Truth be told, if I don't read it for myself on XDA I'm kind of hesitant on doing it. I don't need the flash counter reset (yet), but I would just like to know that I could Odin back to stock firmware / recovery if and when anything goes wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Well there's always the rooted Odin package...

I'm tone deaf, so not sure I'm gonna hear tones of threads. What I do hear is the sarcasm in your post. It's not needed. I didn't ask anyone to do it for me, I asked if anyone has confirmed a working method. You being a jerk aside, I still hope your life is well and brings you great things.

Thanks TheNetwork. Much appreciated. You could of been a jerk about it. ^cough^. I've also seen those as well, but was just looking for something that is pure stock.

The stock odin works great
And I dont think twanskys was being a jerk. It just gets old seeing the same question over and over. A quick search in the general thread would have answered you question. Cheers mate:beer:

I can understand that. I get a lot of the same questions day in and day out in my line of work. I still wouldn't be a jerk to anyone, much less a complete stranger. The whole "no one is going to hold your hand" was a bit over board.
Anyways. Thanks for the response cdshepherd. Much appreciated. I'll do some more searches when I get home and see what I come across.
Take care all.

Hey guys OK so my sprint Gnex radios is FG01 do I need to update and if so how? The thread over in the development area was kind of confusing
Thank you!
If you can't understand that detailed and straight forward thread, then maybe you shouldn't be flashing anything. No one wants to be responsible for ignorant people's mistakes.

My apologies for the arrogant post and any butthurtedness I may have caused.
All jokes aside, are you experiencing issues with the current radio? If not, then its best to leave it alone regardless of whether its outdated or not.
To more directly answer your question: No I don't know if your current radio is outdated.
Was that in any way more helpful my kind sir?
If dbag is short for dialysis bag then flame on.. If not flame on anyway lol
If you're on sprint latest radios are ga02 and there a flashable zip in the second post of team sourcery thread in the sprint developmental section.
If your phone is working fine no need to upgrade

I deeply apologize if I'm just blind, or getting old and senile, but who are all these Roms for?!? Which carrier? It gets a bit hard deciphering sometimes, and I'm not sure what the General thread is for.
Thanks for any light you may shed for this Sprint guy. If it's been answered, I again a apologize, but this XDA app doesn't do well with search.

Any reason, besides spamming/trolling, for you copying the post previous to yours?
So long as you are flashing gsm based roms with gsm phones and cdma roms with cdma phones you should be fine I believe.
