This is CONFIRMED working on AOSP based Xperia S roms.
Please stock users test and report.
I found that the issue can easily be fixed by installing two apps off the play store.
1. Get 'Disable Auto Brightness Xperia' from play store.
2. After installing, Tap the 'Toggle brightness' icon in the app drawer (Now you will see an increase in brightness. This will fix the low brightness levels of AOSP based ROMS)
3. Get 'Velis Auto Brightness' from the play store.
4. Launch the app and turn on auto brightness.
5. Done!
The app is there for like 2 years. Nothing new.

It lags really hard. And default widget (After install) doesnt work on One V GSM (PRIMOU).
Camera is to slow or makes green pictures.

By the way, I installed this apps as normal apk and:
AudioFX - works only with lenovomusic. By the way, lenovo music is a good one.
Notification peek - it works sometimes correctly.But as usual for missed callsl it just shows my lockscreen for few seconds wnen I take my phone. But if then I lock device, put it somewhere and try to take it again - this notif. peek works
