[Q] Cannot update arc s to 4.0.2.A.0.62 via PC Camp

Hi, i try to update my phone via the pc camp but it keeps saying that "unable to download the software" although there is an update notification on my phone and even when i connect phone to pc camp, it also says that there is a new update for lt18i ?
Any suggestion?

You can try the 'updateservice' software provided by SE

Try SEUS,,,

Is your bootloader unlocked? If it its you need to relock it.
If bootloader is unlocked or used test point to unlock sim then DO NOT USE OTA. If you do you phone will get bricked.

Hey guys I try to update my arc s lt18i but it cut down middle of the update I cant update anymore or I can repair than I try flashtool but it give an error like ( ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="SIN_HEAD_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Failed to verify sin header"; ) and I didnt do unlock and my phone doesnt open.. Anyone have any solutions ?

You do not need unlocked bootloader to use Flashtool.

Try to tick "No Final Verification", see if that will help.

I take the same error again with no final verification :/ what can I do

Try use another cable and another USB slot. If it's not gonna work try on another computer. Maybe drivers make this problem.

make sure you have correct .ftf ( is your downloaded firmware for Arc S? version ? )
and make sure you have at least 500 Mb in your hard drive that flashtool is in it.

yes it is lt18i but my phone is in mtp mode but it doesnt open how can I change this

if you have unlocked bootloader test to flash a custom kernel via fastboot... when this is possible try to enter recovery mode and do a factory reset... after that test again a flash via flashtool...

when your phone is ON and is pluged to PC (MTP or MSC) flashtool doesnt work !!!!!!!!
for using flashtool you most turn off your phone and then HOLD back key and then plug the usb cable
if you do it correct LED would be green...
and then you can flash your firmware...

My Xperia S shows update available in notification
pannel(6.2.B.1.96) n its says connet a pc for update bt when i download
updateit displays error code (2003) (your phone contains modified software )
help me up guyz ?

panel (6.2.B.1.96) and its says connect to a PC for update but when i want to update. it shows error.

I recive a new update from 30.1.B.33 to 30.1.B.55 but when download is complete have error!!! "cold not update":crying:

Do you have root or have you modified anything? Try updating with Sony's Xperia Companion

I have root and when unroot not change!!! The erorr dialog is "coud not verify" in phone.i try with pc companion!!!

Once rooted even if you unroot before installing updates it won't work system has been modified re-flash ftf via flashtool or try software repair via Sony pcc

when i unroot no diffrent!!!!with flashtool the phone is break and not way to solve and the phone off for ever!!!ex for english

so you unrooted and flash with flashtool,and the effect is not booting up?Is there any LED light when you try to turn the phone up???The problem flashing with Xperia Companion or PC Companion is that the phone has to be booted up.
EDIT:I saw somewhere here on xda forum that xperia companion might work if your bootloader is still locked.
