I am using UHD 4.0 RC1. I have flash UHD V4.5 mod over it and suddenly my touch screen started misbehaving.
I re flashed the UHD ROM again but it didn't help. The bottom area of screen is not detecting touch. Then I flashed Stock Arc S framework and bottom area touch is working. but still touch is not working properly. Do you guys know what the problem is?
Will it get resolved if i flash stock firmware?

Anyone else have the camera load to a blank black screen with no buttons in any and all apps that utilize the camera? Camera, Barcode Scanner, Sniper Shot, and all other programs that use the camera fail to load since the update. Anyone have any idea as to why?

Did you try a restart, I have heard of camera problems like this before (i think first FroYo update) and all it needed was a simple reboot.
Reboot didn't work. I reflashed the rom and BAM, it worked again. Crisis averted.

I'm running the following:
Azreal 3.0
circular battery widget update
removed HTC lock screen
superior battery charging kernel
wifi hotspot patch
I'm currently trying things to figure out what will fix it.
Here are the current things I have tried that did NOT fix the problem:
Reboot
Wipe cache/davlik cache
fix UID mismatches
I then reflashed azreal 3.0
At this point the camera worked again but everything was wiped. I then reapplied the following patches:
Circular battery
remove HTC lock screen
wifi/hotspot patch
after this everything continued to work
I then applied:
superior battery charging kernel and it broke again
I think the problem is the superior battery charging kernel
i am having the same problem and have not been successful yet fixing it. switched from cm7 back to stock to update my prl and tryed to use the camera while stock when the black blank screen happened. flashed to evdo(sense) and same result. flashed back to cm7 and the 1st time i opened camera it opened the ffc. when i tried to switch and everytime i have tried to open it since i get "camera error cannot connect to camera" help plz!
If you have HW 0004 phone or HW003 with the new camera, you have to make sure your rom has a kernel with the NEW drivers. The kernel in my signature has the new drivers for ASOP roms (like cm 7).
just flashed Savaged-Zen-V002-CFS-HAVS-SBC-WiMAX - GB.zip
with the same result running cm7. seems like ive tried 20 different things with no success. everything i have flashed has been off my sd meaning i have had all of it running before at one time or another with no problem. i really cant think of what ive done new to have caused this

Happened to me right after I flashed calkulins_format_all.zip and then the MikFroyo4.4.zip yesterday. I thought it was a problem with mikfroyo so I flashed Azraelz 3.1 and still the same issue (i was using azrael 3.0 with no prob prior to mikfroyo).
I'll post if I find anything that works, please also give any suggestions i'm willing to try anything b4 i take her to sprint.
I also flashed calkulins evio rom. When I flash back to stock it will start running again sometimes. Not even right away though. It will be black for a while then if I just let the phone sleep for a bit and come back to it bam. Camera again. For a little while. Then back to the same thing an hour later without doing anything! This is very frustrating! Someone plz help!

UPDATE
I turned my phone off and switched SD cards to one that has an old backup (3.29, kernel#11), when I booted into recovery, I could hear clicking noices coming from the lens, at a super fast rate (say 2-3 clicks a second).
Not wanting to do any more damage I turned off the phone.
I did just take my phone to sprint to fix my kick stand, maybe they did something to mess with me (thats just my paranoid side speaking)...
But what gives? What would make the camera shutter do that while im in recovery (btw using latest amon ra recovery)?
Sometimes the screen does not response to the touch... Though the hardware buttons and power buttons work... The only solution is to pull out the battery and reboot... Does any one else hv this problem ???
I had a similar problem only once. Which is the bottom part of screen stop responding to the touch

Looks like I'm not the only one. Whenever I install a ROM the first time it boots up, everything works perfectly. When I reboot, my touch screen doesn't work at all. The buttons all work, ad the screen changes when I tilt it, but the touchscreen doesn't work. Anybody find a solution?

I used the kernel that came with the ROM (CM7.2 FXP103). I flashed back to the stock FW and the touchscreen works fine. Maybe a problem with the kernel?
-EDIT: I tried DoomLord's kernel and I had the same problem. I bought my phone in August.
have the same problem..I flashed the backup stock rom in CWM then same thing happen ...then I use SE PC Companion click repair... back to stock rom and problem solved..
Yeah, the stock ROM works, but it's laggy. I can't even install Acronium to reduce lag without having my touchscreen stop working on me.

My problem is with the accelerometer as about one month ago i needed try one sense rom on my G2 so i flashed the desire Z hboot as it was required to get the rom working , Yesterday i needed return back to normal rom so i flashed back the G2 hboot and flashed the rom & GAPPS , when it started the wizard of the first time i noticed screen doesn't rotate but ok , i thought maybe in settings is not set to rotate by default but after i ended with the wizard i found in settings that auto-rotate screen is checked , here i thought the problem is with rom specially that i downloaded one program from play store to test sensor and found that all sensor values are "0" , i flashed an old rom i had before with the G2 hboot ( accelerometer was working like charm with that rom in the past ) and i found that this rom too has same issue , screen can't rotate , I flashed back desire Z hboot and found that sensor returned to work again and screen is rotating the right way , i tried back G2 hboot with no hope , now i`m forced to use desire Z hboot to keep accelerometer working
any ideas ????
Just keep the dz hboot, if this is working you just loose a little of your data partition for the system, it seems you aren't the first with this issue but no real reasoning has been made to as why. Just flash whatever ROM you please, keeping the dz bootloader

i was in cm11 rom all was working fine but i want to revert to stock rom so i have installed stock rom version 4.2.1 indian version when my phones boot up screen flickring started in every 2-5 seconds touch is working fine and my display is also working fine because when i again installed cm11 rom screen flickring problem has solved anyone else notice this problem??? or this is related to kernel problem please help me if anyone can make a patch for it
So my front camera dont work.
Thing is its works after installing a new rom (4.4.4 or 4.1.2), but when i start front camera second time the camera stops working for ever..
Its very strange cuz the same problem is in stock rom, cm11, with LB and UB, cwm or twrp. I just cant imagine how is this possible, how one problem can coexist in all the roms .
Also it cant be hardware problem, cuz after new rom flash front camera works for one time .

I suspect that relocking bootloader did that (Used flashtool to lock it again).
But now i'm with unlocked BL and cm11 based rom and the problem still exists.
try installing other app that uses front camera
