So I've seen a lot of threads and hype about these new glass screen protectors and I was wondering how hard they are to remove?
Or do they come off like the regular ones
Sorry if it sounds silly

Was wondering if the screen is glass or plastic and if it will scratch or do I need a screen protector?

This has been addressed elsewhere, but it's gorilla glass. I'm not buying a case or a protector, but I'm also really careful with my phones. Up to you.

There is no glass that can't be scratched. And gorilla glass will not help if phone was dropped on hard surface.
Folks we have to stop these unnecessary posts! Please search!!!

Hi all,
I have the following concern - am I used to plastic screen protectors, which in most cases reduce the screen quality. I want to try glass but I think that it is possible that the tempered glass screen protector can actually scratch the screen under certain contitions, as most of them are really hard (for example a lot of pressure or chipping of the protector). Any thoughts on the subject? Has anyone experienced scratches from a glass protector under normal use?

I never have. The ones made from SGP will break in a certain way to cause no harm to you nor the phone. I have no clue about the other screen protectors

Theres a thread on the Glasszone. Hypertek is the only person who has received it so far so you should ask him. I should be receiving my yellow glass zone sometime this week so ill post updates on his thread.
Just a quick question I would like to know about other note 2 owners..that being are any of yall not using a screen protector? If not are there any scratches on your screen?

Since Gorilla glass came out, I will never use a screen protector again. For my needs it's scratch resistant enough and I really love the screen on these phones. I hate the idea of covering them up to "preserve" them, then trade/sell it and not get to enjoy it as much hah.
That's my opinion on it. I had ET4G for over a year and no real scratches and no screen protector. I will do the same with my Note 2. I keep my phone in my pocket.
I have the cheap sprint clear one on mines. Don't mind it much. This phone is so large that I just don't want to baby it. I have to be very careful with everything in my pocket.
This is coming from a guy whose past three devices were naked without a single mark on them.

I have a cheap ebay one on mine. I dont want to take any chances.
will be soon. i like anti-glare ones, though. great for keeping of fingerprints.
I dont really like the anti glare one cause it takes away the clarity of the 720 hd display imo..but I just noticed that my s pen is scratching my screen protecting pretty badly lol ...

I think the anti-glare ones make the s pen not work right.
I installed the Zagg HD screen protector on my new Note 2 yesterday, and I will tell you it should not have been cleared for use with the Note 2. It is so soft that it feels like it's ribbed from using swype with the S-Pen... and I don't press hard at all. What's worse, it's effecting the accuracy of the S-Pen itself, as I find I need to press harder. I would not recommend this screen protector for use with our amazing device. Really looking like I might have to go naked unless I can find a very S-Pen friendly protector!
PS
Best Buy Mobile offered to exchange the protector for me and install it tomorrow, an offer which I am going to accept and deal with until I find the best alternative.
I have the extreme guard $4 body and screen. Everything works flawless.

I just bought a 2 dollar splastic screen guard for the time being until SGP releases their glass protector for the phone... the plastic screen goes well with the s pen... I have the flip cover so no scratches on my end

I made the mistake of believing the saleslady at Best Buy Mobile that the new Zagg HD was just fine with the S-Pen... first mistake. I have a Rearth screen protector waiting for me at home once I return from this business trip... but ya, I am looking forward to the upcoming Glas protector as well. Any word on it's release date?
I was on the same boat I bought the rubber screen.. shouldve posted a warning but got lazy :/
And I asked sgp and all they said so far was that it was a wip... and blah blahs
The glass protector is the best doe cause it feels as it were naked <3
But ill make a thread when I hear about the protector

I'm using the zagg smudge proof protector from best buy and it is not rubbery, doesn't dent or scratch and is true full screen. So far I'm extremely happy with it. Your fingers slide across the screen better with it than naked also there's no orange peel effect either.
If anyone is interested IMHO this is the best zagg to put on.

I still really like the plastic screen protector for now.. it jist feels better than zagg... idk I only put zagg on my iphone... and iphone is shet

I don't see a smudge proof version on the zagg website, do you have a link? Just checked out Best Buy tonight, they didn't have any either.

Yes, I'll find it and post back. It's the best screen protector I've used, and I normally don't like zagg for the orange peel and rubbery feeling.

Hello people, I got this phone for like a week now. And i just wanna ask and confirm if the screen in front is Gorilla Glass or no?
Some say Yes, but i've read it somewhere that its not? Anyone know?
It is Gorilla Glass 2. Idk about the back even though it is supposed to be gorilla glass as well.

Front And Back is gorrilla glass 2 according To Sprint documentation
Oh i see. Thanks for the reply, i just noticed hair thin line like some kind of scratch that's why Im curious bout that. . Just a few mm though. Thanks again people.
Yeah, gorilla glass can still scratch. They have a video somewhere explaining the differences between their glass and others. The main difference is the scratches remain smaller/thinner and don't gouge as deep, often times to where you don't even notice them. They are there though!
