Can Nexus 7 (2013) on android 4.4.2 be rooted

I`m new to android and this is my first device and i`m wondering how and if you can root the nexus 7 2nd gen running on android 4.4.2?

Sure, it will root just fine. First step is to unlock the bootloader and then root it. here's a great tutorial video for both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQmfIY9AB0o&feature=youtu.be

Fire TV Stick 1 or 2? How to tell the difference?

Hi,
Just brought a new Fire TV Stick without the Alexa remote. How can I tell if it's a V1 or V2? Just need to know if my root attempts are in vain.

Also can check the FCC ID number on the housing.
1st-gen = 2ABDU-0509
2nd-gen = 2AE6S-0948

, I have a Gen 1 with original software. What would you do with it? Can I update to 5.2.1.1 and then root? I can't use the normal software update, because it will put the latest on it and then become unrootable.

What software version is on there now? Also, is it currently rooted?

Will there ever be root for the fire 7 7th gen...I know that it has a locked bl,(almost) unexploitable custom rom [Fire OS]...just wondering

There is no way to know, but it doesn't look good.
Of course if someone finds a way to root, it likely will be posted in

The 4k used to support old Tank style remotes, and was removed in an update...

I was wondering if it is possible to flash an older rom to regain this feature?
I have several old remotes all going unused... Just wondering.

If it was removed in an ota, if you're unlocked just flash an update.zip that was before the offending update and you should be able to pair the remote(s)
