4.0.4 stock rom, rooted, no default hot spot app. - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hello,
It appears the stock rom on 4.0.4 does not have a stock wifi hotspot feature.
I've been trying to get my 3g hotspot enabled but that option isn't there to begin with.
Does anyone know how I can get this back? My older 2.3.4 had this on the setting menu.
Also, foxfi is no longer on the play store.

What device are you on that your on 4.0.4?

Ok, any particular reason your so far back on updates? The S3 is up to 4.1.2
There is a sprint hotspot mod which works on 4.1.1 or 4.1.2

Virgin/Bell Galaxy S3 update

Hey guys
Recently I got the Bell Jelly Bean leak for my virgin Mobile s3 (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886709) In the future, when Virgin/Bell actually releases Jelly Bean will I have to flash back to stock Bell rom? If so, how would I have to do it and can I just use the rom here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752729

You should be fine. You will probably just be updated by it, or not even notified at all for that matter.

[Q] Keyboard issue after 4.2.2 OTA update? (VZW)

Has anyone experienced issues with their keyboard after flashing the leaked 4.2.2 OTA on their phone? My keyboard will hide/unhide/hide/unhide rapidly at random intervals.
Question #2, has the official OTA update been pushed by Verizon yet? Does anyone have concerns that the OTA we received from Google was a beta version? Thanks in advance!
I don't run stock ROM but that was a leak so its not an official release. It is a beta

CWM flashable stock ROM?

Hi everyone, I've been looking for a stock ROM that I can flash through clockwork mod, I dont have a backup anymore due to my house burning down about 1 week and a half ago. It would really help if someone could link me to a rooted rom that has the latest build for sprint along with the latest kernel, or to let me know if I can even return back to stock without losing root and using a PC
Thanks guys

Thanks! Will do
But isn't that a custom ROM? I was looking for a just plain stock ROM, thats flashable through cwm

That is a stock rooted ROM with no extras. That is the latest android version.it is just like the ota update that would come from sprint. If you don't want to be rooted anymore than you Odin back to stock

Thanks dude, freakb18c1 sent me a link to a complete stock rooted ROM on sextape's site, but it was also uploaded here in xda as well. Here's the link for future reference for anyone else that's looking as well

Hotspot Mod for Stock 4.3 MK4?

I just came from the Galaxy S3 to the Note2. I want to just root my stock rom just to put a hotspot mod on it but I can't seem to find any info on this for a 4.3 rom with MK4. Can someone direct me to a link to a hotspot mod for a stock rom?

Will I need to flash this rom to get tether to work again? Can you post the link
Okay... I've been searching the forums and internet for a Native Hotspot mod for MK4. I have found a hotspot hack for the Note 3 and the S4 but nothing for the Note 2. Not really understand this because the Note 2 is older but yet theres not many roms and hacks out for it as the S3. Is there a reason for this? It seems the Note 2 doesn't get the love as other Samsung devices.
I want to kept my stock rom...just want to add a native hotspot mod. I found something for Deodex MK4 roms but not for Odex. I found roms with working hotspot hack build in it, but not a standalone. Can someone provide information.

Not sure...but I like the native hotspot better. I guess I have no choice but to flash a rom with a working hotspot hack in it.

No data/WiFi calling? SGH-T989

I just recently downloaded the latest kitkat carbon nightly rom for my T-Mobile GSII t989. Nice features--but I noticed WiFi/data calling doesn't work. How can I get it to function? Is there anything additional that I can flash to get this feature back?

WIFI calling only works on Touchwiz ROMs. I think the newest Touchwiz roms are Jellybean 4.1.2
There is also nothing you can flash to make it work. cwyman hit it right on the head. Flash back to a Touchwiz based rom and you have your WiFi calling back.
That sucks. Thanks, will do

Are there any links I can be directed to? Is there a rooted stock T-Mobile jellybean rom available (t989) that I can download & flash on this phone?

This is the one I've used on one occasion. It's basically what you would find out of the box, only rooted and de-odexed... There's also other stock based custom roms out there, but I can't say much for those as I never was interested in stock based custom roms.
