[Q] GNex not charging. HELP - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

First off, I'm running ParanoidAndroid 3.50 and on Android 4.2.2. This is so weird. I'll plug it up, and it won't charge but once plugged in, it won't lose charge either. I left it plugged in all last night and it stuck at 7% the entire night. Also it will not recognize that it's plugged in, and I cannot get it to recognize via computer as well. Anyone have any ideas of what this could be?

When the phone is turned off, it registers that it is charging but it's not actually. I've seen that it may be the USB port being broken. Are there any DIY methods out there to replace it?

[Q] [Resolved?] Galaxy Nexus GSM Not Charging When On

My GSM Galaxy Nexus is not charging when turned on but is charging when turned off.
This may have started when I flashed CM9 Nightly 0507. Re-flashed CM9 Nightly 0504, previous working ROM, and the issue remains. Would someone running the GSM Galaxy Nexus on the CM9 Nightly 0507 please confirm that they are able to charge or not charge normally with the device on.
Would prefer to post this in the Galaxy Nexus CM9 Nightly thread, but I do not have access yet (less than 10 posts).
Also, no help here, here, here, or here.
Did you flash back to stock and have the same issues? are you charging via USB or wall charger? Does the phone get recognized by a PC while on?
Have not yet flashed back to stock. Stock image is not backed up on my phone but is on my home computer.
Does not charge using a wall charger or USB to computer. Settings > Battery > status is "Not Charging".
Computer does not recognize the phone when on, computer does recognize the phone when off.
Although the phone has been off and plugged for 2+ hours the battery has only charged from 17% to 24%.

Sounds like a bad cable, port, or battery.
My device is now charging normally. This may have been resolved by either:
1) Factory reset of device (not stock ROM, on CM9 0504 nightly)
2) Use of stock charging cable
The cable that I was having issues with works as expected for my HTC G2, no charging or PC connection issues. Although, sometimes this cable enables car mode on the G2.
I hesitate to out the blame simply on the cable though, because there was a battery charge indicator issue as well. After leaving my phone off in an attempt to charge it with the problematic cable and finally making it from 17% to 24%.. over the rest of the day the battery dropped slowly down to 19% and then CLIMBED slowly up to 25%?!
I wiped battery stats. No change. I then factory reset. No change in the 25% and climbing reading. I then plugged in the stock cable. It lives! For good measure I allowed the battery to discharge completely and then gave it a full charge.
Push the pin
Try pushing the USB pin in the phone up toward the screen using a thin knife. It solved my problem like a charm.

[Q] Dinc plugged into charger, black screen wont boot

I was staying the night somewhere out of my own house unplanned and I forgot my charger so I found a random USB cord that fit into my phones charging port and I took an iCrap's wall outlet adapter and used that to connect it to the wall. The first time I plug my Dinc in it wont even recognize that it is plugged in so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started charging, but the touchscreen wasn't responsive. I tried to reboot it using the trackpad but after a few seconds of doing that the trackpad would become nonresponsive. I unplugged it and everything worked fine. Being the idiot I am I plugged it back in again and the same thing happened. I finally decided this was probably a bad idea so I was about to unplug it when the screen went black, the orange charging light stopped shining even though it was plugged in and unplugging it didn't help... Now I know this phone cant be turned on plugged in and without a battery so I haven't even tried that but no matter what charger I plug it into, factory or other, or what kind of outlet, car wall and computer the screen stays black, charging light doesn't go on, I cant get into recovery or hboot, yes it is rooted (cyanogen mod 7.2.0 with CWM) I was wondering what I could do or if anyone had any ideas about this? PLEASE HELP

need help, is it a brick

I have a stock at&t note 5 and just after the 6.0 upgrade I started having charging issues, had the charge port replaced, and battery as well. When the charger was plugged in, it wouldn't recognize that it is plugged into anything, but It would charge turned off, yet when it was plugged in, it wouldn't show the battery icon with the ascending green dots that it normally shows, although it would still charge...slooooowly....did a factory reset, still nothing, but now it won't charge at all anymore. Any ideas on how or what to do to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Will only charge if turned off. Help?

I'm using MIUI 8 Global 7.5.25
For the last few weeks my phone will only charge when it is turned off.
Nothing happens when plugged into PC either via USB, no response from phone or computer.
Will only charge when turned off....
However if I plug my phone in whilst it is off to charge, and then turn the phone back on - it continues charging whilst the phone is on. As soon as I disconnect the USB and reconnect it again it goes back to not recognising that anything was ever plugged in and won't charge again.
Getting very frustrated now, am not sure what to do. Any ideas please?
Maybe problem in USB port? Fast charge tries to pick more energy and USB disconnects?
