I'm on miui 1.7.8 and I can't play any youtube videos. It plays the first 30 seconds then stops. Does anyone have the same problem? And does someone know how to fix it.

I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this. When I go into apps like ign and there is a video to watch I can't get the video to play and go into media format. Usually all I can get is the sound from the video. Is there any app or Rom I can download to fix this?

Are you using stock player? I use MX player and it works great

I just downloaded the pro version of mx player and I still am having that issue. For example if you download the free ign app in the play store then click reviews in the app, then let's say you click black Ops 2 in the review section, and then proceed to try and watch the video at the top it will not play except for maybe audio.

It sounds like codec problem. I know MX has different codec downloads in the play store. I just never had this issue before

Tried every codec and still not working. Is anyone able to download the ign app to see if it's just me or the app itself? If anyone downloads it go into reviews>black ops 2>click the video at the top of the review and see if you can get it to work

Why struggle with getting the app to work when you get the same experience when you goto ign.com? Plus I got the video to play just fine from the browser... good luck!
edit: the video did not play from the app for me either
The app is more convenient plus I've had this problem in other apps with videos attached

I'm guessing these are just app problems with bad development

I notice that every time I listen to music through an app such as soundhound or YouTube and when I look the screen or switch an app that the app closes. So is there any app that could prevent this please.
Thanks in advance.

I'm running the most recent update XenonHD. My screen times out when I'm watching a video on the CNET app or streaming anything on the browser but doesn't do it on YouTube. I would like to fix the issue and not download a app like I have been doing for some time now.
Thanks. Shane

There is a buffering problem when watching videos. The video plays for about 8 secs and then buffers. This process repeats throughout the video. Any help? :/

I don't have any buffering problems with my N7 at all. Are you sure it's not your internet? Have u try running a speed test?

Maybe use the Clean Sweep app and SD Maid to clean things up. It can make a huge difference especially if your storage is getting full.
