[Q] Desire pattern locked. no debug/official rom/ - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i got one htc desire which is pattern locked and customer dont have email id and password.
so i cannot bypass it with adb command as debug mode is off and phone have official firmware. while i try adb commands in recovery mode it shows error : device offline .
adb command in fastboot mode shows error: device not found. i tried all other tricks like calling to phone and trying to get into phone but not success. what option i have left? as data is very very important.
Thanks

If the your data is on the sd card first take it out so that it doesnt get wiped. Then turn the phone off, and boot into the bootloader using volume down and power. Use the volume keys to scroll down and highlight CLEAR STORAGE, then press the power button to select it.
This should wipe the phone and reset it to factory conditions.

Power button dead and stuck on boot

So, I had Supernova rom and it worked perfectly. I did used dropbox hack to get more GB and since then it's gone crazy. Every few seconds crashed apps etc. So i've decided to format it all and reinstall it. I used quickboot to get into recovery since my power button is dead.
I can use lower volume when pluging in battery to get into first screen but can't choose recovery. Is there any program so I can flash it from here?
Is there really no way for me to do anything about it except to repair the power button?

Got it. Tnx man. Will try to reflash it now.
Have another problem. If I delete something from sd card, it shows right back up. If I copy something onto the card, it's not there. If I format it, still the files are there. Probably broken?

You have the problem when you mount the SD partition in recovery, when mounted on a PC under Android, with an explorer like Astro ? can you be more precise ?
Similar problem
I had something similar yesterday. I thought i bricked the device or something but that I was pretty sure I didn't. It was only vibrating, so after some googling i found out the power button is broken.
I managed to get it booting again after the battery was fully drain and charged up again. I quickly went to the settings in my rom (BCM 4.0) and enabled the option so the trackpad can also wake my device. Also got an app called screen off and lock, whch enables you to lock your device from the notification area.
I do have a linux device with the adb options, which helped me get into the recovery, as that was a problem with the broken button. I had the same problem that I was able to get into fastboot, but couldn't do anything. Make sure you run a rom that has the trackpad wake, or something similar.
Luckily I didn't simply go buy a new device, even though the power button is broken it'll still run for quite a while still I hope. Love my device

Help required to get my DHD back to stock

We recently have purchased DHD, and it was pre-rooted, we are general users and don't need any high end authentications in our phone to keep it stable, since yesterday I am searching on things how to get back to stock, finally tried AAHK, and pressed 1 at main menu, it rooted my phone again (I guess), but now it is blank (black) screen with no text after green colored htc logo and white background, it just blurred and turned screen into black, and halts in there,
What I tried before posting in here:
1. tried same thing again to flash using AAHK,
2. downloaded ARHD 6.x but no idea how to install it when I have no screen.
3. When I press volume down with power it takes me to bootloader, but automatically searches for some PD98IAG.zip (its not PD98IMG.zip)
and keeps searching it, (in other words it halts there as well)
4. restarting / switching memory card, googling.
I don't know if it is allowed here or not, but I am open to any payments if it costs any, for the one who can really get this thing fixed for me.

Diconnect the phone. Uninstall all HTC drivers from the computer. Install the HTC drivers came with AAHK tool. Switch on the phone in Bootloader. Wait until it stops scanning the SD card. If it never stops, pull the battery and remove the SD card from phone then switch on the phone without SD card. Once the phone is in Bootloader try connecting the phone to the PC, then try to falsh the RUU that you have downloaded.

[Q] Help with gio

Hello,
I have a samsung galaxy gio in which I entered the lock pattern incorrectly and it is now blocked.
It asks me for my google account details, but it keeps saying that they are incorrect despite the contrary.
I have searched in lots of websites and try to input null as a password or omitting the @gmail.com as suggested but none of that works.
Now, I could boot up recovery mode and reset to factory but my problem is that my volume down button does not work. So, despite being able to enter recovery mode (power+home), I can't select the reset option because volume down serves as a down key.
Also, I cannot enter fastboot mode to try and install anything with odin or similar, as I need the volume down key.
I also thought of running adb commands from the terminal but the phone needs to have usb debugging enabled, which is not and I am locked out and unable to activate it.
I ran out of ideas, dos anyone have a suggestion?
just use the volume up button and go through all other options to the factory reset

[Q] Phone Bricked

So my problem is this...
I went into TRWP and idiotically wiped System, Internal Storage, and External Storage from my device, then rebooted. Now my computer is stuck in bootloop. I can access Download mode (Volume Down, Home, and Power button). The problem I am running into while troubleshooting is that when I plug the phone into the computer via USB I am getting a driver installation failure with error messages "SM Bus Controller: No driver found" and "MTP USB Device: Failed." Obviously the first step to fixing the issue is to get a USB connection in order to transfer the necessary files onto the device, but I cannot even get this first step to work.
I want to remind everyone that my phone is essentially ROM-less and has been reduced to a shiny piece of plastic, thus I cannot enable USB debugging (which I presume to be the source of the USB driver issues).
Has anyone ever encountered this problem?
Try this
1. Remove battery
2. Press and hold vol+, home key, and power
3. Insert battery (still holding keys)
This will take you into recovery. You said you were using twrp correct if so you need to remove your external card and copy your files via pc since twrp does not support mtp.

Thank you for the response! Is it possible that I wiped TWRP when I wiped the system, internal memory, and external storage? I ask this because I cannot get to the TWRP menu no matter what I try...
Doubt you did wipe recovery. Try the steps again only do vol- instead and odin a different recovery (philz 6.07.9 recommended)

Asus Zenfone 2 Wiped Cache, cant access Bootloader, Now I'm stuck in error android

First, I just got to root my phone and got stuck in loading screen, then I followed the steps to get my phone working again, then I've got into recovery mode and use the Press Hold Power Button + Volume Up key , then I saw plenty of options to choose, I don't want to format my phone, I just want to get back into my main screen, Then I've wiped the cache by mistake.. Then I Turn it off and turn it back on, then my screen begun appearing a dead bot error android icon blinking every few seconds, So I tried to turn it off again and Hold power button and hold volume up button then I came back into recovery mode, even though I Hold Power Button and Press Volume up key once, I can't access the options, I've watched and read so many tutorials, even the cmendonc2's solution. I Cant access my SD Card its completely error. I've done so many command/exhibition using Power button and Volume Up key. Nothing happens Help me out please!
try clearing cache via adb on the bootloader screen, it will fix the blinking dead android problem

You need a Windows PC, I suggest getting minimal ADB from this XDA post.
