i was checking the battery usage, when i see that the SO ANDROID, is the only usage that was register, I dont know if is a bug, or what happened
I want to know if someone else had this problem?
its normal?
any suggestions?
I've seen it in one of the new 4.1.2 information threads...It is a bug and the one who had it also had a reduced battery life... its your case also?

Hey guys.
I've had an Inc S for some time so not too new to the android world.
But my new Gnex resets batt stats after a simple reboot. Is this normal? My HTC never did that.
Cheers guys.
If it's a brand new phone, the OS may still be collecting battery data so technically speaking, it could happen.
Don't quote me on this though.
Hrmmm, dunno hey. Thanks for your reply though = )
Has anyone else had this issue??
Thanks.
Are you rooted? Running stock ROM?
Afaik the battery stats file only gets deleted when your phone is fully charged. Did you reboot at full charge?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Yeah I found that anywhere between 90 and 100% its wiped after a charge. I rebooted after or in that 10% so it sort of makes sense. I recently rebooted and it didn't clear them. It must only do it in that range. Or rather like your saying at full charge, well close too anyway.
Thanks.

Battery stats are wiped every full charge.

Here is my problem .... I've noticed that when my gnex is down to 10% of battery it won't last me longer than an hour in sleep this doesn't happen all the time but its annoying anyone else with similar issue ?
All stock including battery ..
Thanks in advance

There must be an app in the background that's draining it

Hi guys, I got my Galaxy Note 2 a few days ago....upgraded from the S3 im dead pleased with it and the power is immense! but....
My "Android System" is using far too much battery....I saw somewhere the 'norm' is between 10-15% and as you can see mine is twice (and a bit) that amount.
Could anyone help or advise what to do to fix the situation.
Thanks guys

Let the system stabilize for a few days.
Then again check the battery performance over a longer duration and not few minutes like your screen shot shows.
This note 2 has got good batteries. Don't worry.
Cheers!!!!
That percentage is viewed related to how long your device was on & in your screen shot it is on only for almost 10min & I think its not enough to gudge.
My opinion drain a full battery then judge what component is draining cbattery most

Thanks guys, seems to have calmed down now....currently sitting around 9-13%

Alright. I got the note 2 two days ago, and I rooted it. If I use it for extebded periods of time, I cant unlock the screen and the led notification gies red. Help? Also, my note only goes 12 hours with full charge on moderate to high usage. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

I've had a few random reboots and last night my phone tried to do it again and it froze up during that and the screen was black with the blue led on. Do you have any stock apps disabled? What Rom are you using? I'm stock deodexed.
I'm using the whomp Rom.

The only thing in common with that Rom is multi window, camera sound disabled mod and I have flash enabled.

re download, wipe fully, and reflash. The only time I've had any experience like this is when I didn't wipe fully or had a bad download.

Is my battery life normal? What should I wipe?

Depends on the usage and what you are doing with it.
Running a ton of apps, constantly playing with the screen and tweaking things, 12 hours is pretty good.
Phone just chilling, 12 hours is really bad.
I just posted pics in another thread running on the Perseus 29 Kernel, with normal use I was able to go over 2 days on battery
normal sounds like light usage lol

What they said on battery. If you have a custom recovery (twrp or cwm) wipe davlik, cache, do the factory data reset, and system for good measure, since your having issues, then reflash the rom.

Alright, thanks guys! I remember when I was in the hero section I used to think people who asked these kinds of questions were "noobs." But now I'm the "noob". Lol, thanks for all the help
Hello All,
I just received the DMA6 update from Samsung... I know this update is new but it would be good if all of you can post your comments on the battery drain after this update.. Feel free to post screenshots of the battery..

Since flashing my battery life and deep sleep battery life is greatly improved. Very pleased with this update.
Thanks for your reply.. I just installed the update and am a bit skeptical and feel as if the battery is draining faster when the screen is on.. Might be that when the phone is in idle or deep idle the battery would be dropping less significantly.. let us wait for other users to post their comments... hope fr the best...

I had no batt issues since upgrading to 4.1.2
with this new update battery life seems better. Left my phone at 10% before i slept and woke up to it still at 10% so deep sleep is really good
Thanks Paulito.. As i said i am suspecting that deep sleep is good now... but do you notice a faster drain when screen is on.. Do let us know.. I will also keep an eye on the battery stats for the coming weeks and keep all posted..

Guys, install Batter Monitor Widget and do a real test to see what your standby and screen on consumption is in %/hour. We need real numbers, not anecdotes.
With DLL7 I get between 0.6 and 2%/hour drain in standby. Screen on averages 10-18%/hour. Gaming is usually 30%/hour. Wifi on, brightness on auto, location on, Facebook , google plus, tapatalk and 2 gmail accounts syncing with notifications.
I'd love to see what this new firmware gets under those conditions .
I can't wait until it's available for my variant. On DLL3 my battery was terrible! I went back to 4.1.1 where I can easily go all day with 70% of my battery remaining.
I shall install the battery monitor widget and will upload my findings in a couple of days..

We need to get our hands on the release notes if any to get more info. On what the update is actually doing.. 2 updates back to back... Seems interesting..

Well 4.5 hours of screen time isn't that good at 33%. I got 9 hours the other day. And still had 12% left.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I said battery seems the same mate the only thing that seems to be proved is deep sleep. I used to loose around 5 to 7 % in the night while sleeping and after the update I only loose 1 to 2 %.

Edit : Sorry for mislead but actually it was something bug that my stock battery status have not reported application which i have used, after restart its fine now

Pardon me for asking but what is "deep sleep" ?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
CPU runs at minimum speed <200Mhz is deep sleep
you need application (like better battery stats) to check it.

Thanks Doctor but how to enable this deep sleep in N7100 ?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Nothing required to enable it,
it should go to deep sleep, if it doesn't go to deep sleep then you have to find out which process stoping it to do so.
