Before I go about bricking my phone, is it possible to make any changes to framework on locked bootloaders?

It should be possible.
XZXperience mods framework a lot and it works on locked bootloader.
Also you can't really brick a locked bootloader

So it might be possible to inject Halo from paranoid android into the stock framework for locked users?

Nope you can't Jelly Bean needs new kernel and in order to do it you need to have an unlocked bootloader... You can't do anything now but to wait for Sony's official update

Hi. I just got my Xperia S. It's cool and I want to keep it that way with DRM (in case of future reselling) So for now only locked bootloader. I have found some roms for locked BL, know how to root and probably install recovery. That's no problem. The point is, in Xperia P, we can flash kernels in zip in recovery (dunno if it requiers unlocked bl, tried only with unlocked). Do we have zip kernels here too? And if so, then is XS capable of flashing them on locked BL?
And is unlocking bl/rooting and applying tweaks profitable? Will I feel boost?

U can never change/flash kernels on locked bootloader, neither through cwm flashable zips nor fastboot..

All right. Lost drm means only track id, some walkman and bravia engine features lose? Warranty is obvious...

Yes, you will lost this things and of course you will lost your warranty. If you are going to sell it you must say to buyer that your phone doesn't have warranty.

Ok guys once again, we are presented a new firmware for our lovely xperia M dual sim. Rooting should be the first thing on everyone's minds, so i was wondering if anyone has found a way to root this new firmware on locked bootloader and unlocked bootloader.
I hope a solution is found soon, cant wait

For unlocked bootloaders and locked bootloaders we should have a working cwm recovery...

And when is this being developed?
Sent from my C2005 using xda app-developers app
For unlocked bootloaders it will be developed soon but for locked bootloaders it will be hard...
