[Q][JB] Custom Modem Binary - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whenever I try to flash the MC8 ROM straight from GB, I get an error on phone screen saying "custom modem binary" . Phone boots and I'm able to use JB, but SIM doesn't detect and baseband and IMEI are unknown. Anyone know a solution?

Why do you need a pit file? The only reason would be for flashing a ROM in Odin, and we don't yet have an Odin ROM for the GT-S7560M Ace II X. If you just want a partition table, I can give that to you.

I don't know If that's what I want, s7650m has a problem with the serial number, "000000000", and it doesn't recognize any sim card, so I figure if I can get a pit file for my s7650m and reflash the entire phone with a stock rom, that might resovle my problem.

No, but we don't yet have a stock ROM for our device. Samsung seems to have screwed us by not releasing a stock ROM for us, The closed thing we have is some Samsung open source files that can be used along with compiled 4.0.4 to make a stock ROM. Tell me, what is your service provider? I think I can help if you answer that question.
Thank you so much for ur help, my service provider will be virgin mobile, which is in North America Canada; however I travel back and forth between Hong Kong, China and Canada alot, do u think this can be done so my phone can be use in all these places.

[Q] IMEI problem with Note 2

I have IMEI problem with my phone. I flash 4.3 via Odin, but this version is full with bugs. After that i flash with 4.1.1 and the problems start. My IMEI became 0049.. After this flash I flash with 4.1.2 - 4.3 but the IMEI is 0049.. I have EFC folder on my PC, but i don't know how to reset her.. I have and other problem, on my screen i have square with info for my phone - PDA ,CSC,BAND,MEMORY and other.
Can you help me to fix this big problem for me..
no one can help u to solve your problem... no one also don't care about this..
this is the kind of oldest radio board on the device. latest modem & kernel only can read new radio hardware. that's why it cannot detect the IMEI correctly..
Try flashing dmg1 rom
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
dmg1 also not work

Samsung did not officially launch S4 Mini LTE I9195 in Morocco. You can find firmware for your country only if samsung launches the phone there.
I am from India and I use I9195. Samsung did not launch that model. We have dual sim I9192. So obviously there are no modems based on India networks for I9195.
I suggest you to flash modem of a country that is closest to Morocco. Spain comes to my mind first. Flash modems made for spain, like XXUCNE6, COA2 or CNK1
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195/PHE/
That link gives you spanish unbranded firmwares. Flash one of those and test the signal strength on your device.
You cannot flash jb modems onto kitkat bootloader. It will fail. If it flashes then Wifi will not work.

Try to uninstall and samsung usb drives/ samsung kies. Then restart. Now reinstall usb drivers/ kies and restart again.
Now run Odin as administrator. You have to use odin to flash modem. Flashing modem needs bootloader access.
Only odin can access bootloader[download mode]. Not sure if factory reset works but nevertheless try that before flashing.

No. you cannot flash modems with recovery.
As i said earlier the bootloader should be writing modem to its partition. and u need odin for that.

Can you flash a stock firmware using ODIN ??
Try that first. If you still get the same "pit for mapping" issue then we need some expert advice.

Note stucks on Samsung Logo and wont boot up, able to get into download mode and TWRP

Hi,
So my note 2 was working fine yesterday (rooted) until a security update informed that I need to reboot my phone, now it's stuck with samsung logo and nothing else. I tried to wipe cache but it's failed to, able to factory reset using TWRP.
NO OS installed and unable to recognize ext SD card (FAT32). what should I do? Is it bricked? it's the N7100 model International.
Edit: I also tried to flash twrp and CWN but it shows up as "Failed" on odin.
Thanks,

To solve your problem flash international firmware through Odin, firmware version NOT beyond your current bootloader (which is it?).

hey so I tried to flash the ROM but it's "failed" in ODIN.
<ID:0/004> sboot.bin
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> FAIL!
<ID:0/004>
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Is there a way to fix this? I can't wipe cache either in TWRP.

No signals

Ok I'll keep it short as possible. My friends n7100 was working fine on android 4.1 then he decided to upgrade it to lollipop then he had no signal. He then flash official stock 4.4.2 firmware on it yet still no signal and baseband and imei is null. Plz what can i do to repair it. I own a shv-e250s with 4.4.2 and everything works perfectly, is there a way for me to use mine to repair his? Thanks for reading
Is your friend's phone an e250s? How did he flash it to lollipop when there is no stock lollipop for the note 2?

Sounds like the efs partition may have been damaged.
Was the latest stock ROM flash successfully? If yes, the phone's imei may have to be repaired at a cell shop.

The phone won't connect to a carrier network without a correct imei.

No. Can i find it on google?
The data inside an EFS partition is unit and would contain the imei information.
You may have to take the phone into a cell shop and have them repair the imei.
