[Q] Htc Desire HD install JellyTime ROM - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hy everyone. I want to install Jelly time ROM r10 based on cm10 and unlock SIM but i dont know how to s-off and downgrade radio .
In this pictures are my mobile phone software information. Please help me.

Hello,
I don't know why you'd like to get S-OFF and downgrade the radio version to put JellyTime on your DHD. But here are some clues.
I had exactly the same Android/Sense/Kernel/Radio versions before flashing for the first time a custom ROM on my DHD. I put JellyTime R8, and everything worked fine, except that GPS needed a trick to work properly (you can check the following messages here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41826783&postcount=10)
I used this tutorial to get rid of Gingerbread + Sense: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2168500
And as it leaves you with an S-ON device, you need to use "fastboot" tool on your computer to flash the boot.img after having flashed the custom ROM from CWM or Ext4.
I stopped there and my DHD with JellyTime R8 works fine.
Though getting S-OFF seems to be a bit more complicated, but these threads might help you:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537&highlight=radio+s-off
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996630
Those are all the threads I kept on hand in case I needed it to flash radio to fix the GPS, so I can't tell you if it works or not.
To SIM-unlock your phone, your service provider/mobile operator may provide you with the steps to follow for free and without voiding any warranty (depending on law and rules in your country). I would do it before modifying anything on the phone, even if install a custom ROM and SIM-unlock the phone are supposed to be independent.

Thanks man i try it

It works now i'm using Jelly time r10 but now i don't know how i can i unlock my SIM? thanks for help

Have you tried to contact your mobile operator?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-N...280639015522?pt=SIM_Cards&hash=item4157638a62 maybe this will help? because my mobile operator tells me they install default rom ant then unlock it. but they dont know that: after install Jelly Time ROM again my phone has locked.

My wildfire S rom version is 1.35.720.3, How can I found whats my phone's region?
ASIAN? EUROPEAN or something else?
Other question is that can I install "OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1_R3-1.33.401.2" on my phone? in HBOOT mode phone detect the update, check it and then returns to main HBOOT menu and wont install it.
Thanks
Check here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074445
Don't forget that you need a Goldcard to flash your phone.
Thanks for the link
I saw it before, but unfortunately I can not find 1.35.720.3 in the list, just these have same RADIO as mine (47.10.35.30 29H)
RUU_Marvel_HTC_Europe_1.30.401.0_Radio_47.10.35.30 29H_7.46.35.08_release_183799_signed.exe

Can i flash every of there on my phone?
Also I made goldcard already.
Of course it's a problem.
For the moment lastest Europe version is 1.33.401.2.
Look here : http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Marvel
You may have an error message saying that the version is too old.
But you can try, you will not brick your phone anyway.
If your phone is S-OFF and rooted, you can wipe cache and data, flash a custom rom like this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186354 (thanks to Alquez). You will return to 1.33.401.2.
For your second question OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1 ROM is an arabic language ROM.
Thanks bro.
my phone is s-on and not rooted yet.
as you mentioned "OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1" is arabic and I want to enable arabic language on my phone to read PERSIAN.
but after booting to HBOOT, the phone detect the update, check it and then return to HBOOT menu, and wont install any thing.
I want to know how can I force phone to install the update!
Sometimes, the problem is the Goldcard, it not works correctly.
Before I was rooted and S-OFF, I managed to update my phone till 1.30 version to 1.33.
I've maid my goldcard with this tutorial. It isn't very difficult, you just have to follow each step carefully.
Go to see : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142529
Check post 3 for the link to "How to create a Goldcard"
Thanks
I will give it a try and will inform you.
New goldvard dosnt work as well
Its seems i have to wait for next europian version to debrand.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using XDA App
I think so.
There is a good explanation there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16479167#post16479167
(See post n°6)
Or if you can't wait, I suggest you to buy XTC Clip. It works fine and it's easy to use.
Good luck.
Chapi, The sugessted way is a little bit risky! I bricked a MOTOROLA recently so I am afraid to do any risky modification.
So I have to wait for a newer version of Europe shipped rom.
thanks anyway .

@Chapi666 I have the version 1.33.401.2 and I'm trying to unlock its bootloader via HTCDEV method but this version is not in the list on their website. How should I proceed? Do i need to update anything? BTW i tried the hasoon ALL-IN-ONE tool but it failed to give me unlock token. Thanks in advance.

[Q] Debranding fails - Error 140

Hey guys, I'm having serious trouble debranding my desire and spent the last days 'n nights searching for a solution.
Three days ago I was given an HTC Desire A8181 by my sister's boyfriend from Canada. I want to use it in Germany and somehow 3G doesen't work at all(only Edge).
So I thought about flashing a European /WWE ROM to solve the problem.
As he told me the phone was unbranded I just picked the last EU RUU from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
But while flashing I got Error 130 - Wrong RUU.
Flashing itself doesn't seem to be the problem: My sister's boyfriend found his old ROM he was using before on this phone and I was able to flash it without problems.
It is 3.14.405.1 / Android 2.3. - apparently Telus branded.
I checked with Terminal Emulator and found out that the phone is indeed Telus branded. So I created a goldcard and tried again.
Now I get Error 140 while flashing ( wrong Bootloader version )
Could it be, that the ROM I want to install is too old?
I'd appreciate any suggestion.
Information:
Bravo PVT3 Ship S-ON
HBOOT-1.02.0001
MICCROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
Radio-5.17.05.23
The Phone is unrooted.
Both drivers and HTC Sync are installed on my PC.
Btw. Any ideas why 3G doesn't work?
Thanks in advance!
Hi there!
If this is the case you could just flash a stock ROM instead?
Also, this may help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943726 to unlock the phone fully (though it seems like that's the case already it may help) it's quite safe. I've done it on about 4 Desire's without problems over the last two years.
There is Teppic74's rooted stock 2.3 ROM which is very good and exactly like the RUU version, with the exception of being rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200261
To root the phone, last I checked it was pretty simple. You simply downlopad unREVoked, run it, connect your phone when you're told and let it do it's stuff: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788044
Also, a problem you MAY have is that the phone is CDMA and Europe is mostly GSM networks (I think)
@ Kryten2k35
Thanks for your reply.
Firstly, I already SIM-unlocked it with the linked tool - that was the first thing I did after holding it in my hands.
Actually I could install a custom ROM, yes and I must admit that I already did so before. I tried out Supernova and tried to flash a new Radio ( I used unrevoked to do so) . I was quite sure that I screwed st. up so I wanted to get a nice proper European RUU running on my phone. That's when I always had Error 130 ("wrong RUU") while flashing all kinds of official ROMs. At this point I was given the (obviously Telusbranded) Telus ROM that perfectly worked as the only exeption.
I had the same idea with that CDMA / GSM uncompatability but found out, that my modell Number is A8181 which is sold in Europe/ Asia. So it should work...
Thanks anyways!
Other ideas?
Well, that Teppic74 ROM is completely stock (except it's rooted) so it's exactly like the Gingerbread ROM. He tailors all his stock ROM's to be totally like stock!
Have you tried the offical HTC Desire Gingerbread RUU? Beware it will stop you from ever putting a custom ROM on again (iirc)

Well, mate, the biggest problem with compatibility is a band version of device not rom. If you got it from Telus you have to check which frequencies it supports and see which one are used in Germany (I think you said Germany).
About RUU, you can't flash EU RUU on your device without a gold card because of CID version of your phone.
And if you want stock RUU that will work on your phone go to HTC dev site, kernel source code part, configure filter to DEVICE (Desire) and choose OTHER below it, click FIND FILES and the first one to download will be RUU upgrade android version 2.3. It's made for all CIDs and it will work with your hboot version.

Why should it do so?
Besides I'm quite sure, that the ROM I'm currently using IS the latest official ROM - it can't be a branded one.
FIrst: Android Task Manager tells me under information - Brand: HTC_WWE
Sounds like HTC's official version.
Second: Current System Software is entitled: 3.14.405.1. ,which is HTC's latest Gingerbread (2.3.3)-update. So actually it cannot be branded.
Third: THe old owner swears that the ROM he gave me was NOT branded.
I just found out that flashing with a comon SDcard would lead to Error 130 while flashing with Goldcard leads to Error 140.
At this point I probably could S-Off and root the phone and put a custom ROM on it but I'd really, really, really like to know why I'm unable to flash those stupid RUUs.
And if you want stock RUU that will work on your phone go to HTC dev site, kernel source code part, configure filter to DEVICE (Desire) and choose OTHER below it, click FIND FILES and the first one to download will be RUU upgrade android version 2.3. I just checked that THIS RUU is exactly the one I have installed right now!
Thanks for this hint!
So could you tell me why only this RUU works and the other ones don't?
Thanks a lot!
I suppose it's because of the updated bootloader, which is 1.02 and won't be downgraded to 0.93, which would be the froyo version.
Btw, this will not stop you from doing s-off (which I'd recommend you to do). Only using HTC Dev unlock will stop you, so avoid using it.
Gesendet von meinem HTC Desire
Yes bootloader is the problem, so you can't flash older RUU. If you go s-off (only revolutionary can do so for you) you can flesh alpharev stock hboot which is write protected and you can try older RUU (but I don't see a reason).
So, go s-off and root now and flash a custom rom of your choice.
Sent from my HTC Desire via flashes and thunders
Thanks guys, you really helped me out!
So far I flashed CM 7.2 and it's running fine - will try to get a proper radio on it hoping the 3G issues will disappear.
Thanks!

[Q] Telus HTC will not downgrade for S-OFF

Ok I am new to XDA, I have and HTC Desire HD on Gingerbread 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 it was originally on the telus nework but was unlocked before we bought it, I have very basic knowledge ... a lot of work on my Samsung Tab 10.1 and Samsung Infuse ... both have been very customized, This HTC is the worst thing i have attempted ... I have run just about every program out there, now im trying to downgrade the bootloader (Yes, its unlocked) all I get are errors when trying to downgrade .... I live with a "developer"(he's a tool) he says I need s-off to be able to load roms (I like NIGHTLY builds had a lot of luck with them) and when i attempt to put a new rom on it all installs normally but then it never leaves the HTC Screen it will sit there for hours with nothing .... I have just about every htc dev tool i have found I made sure to read every result on google for this issue and nothing .... any questions just let me know Im always around Internet ... any help would be appreciated greatly.... up until this phone this forum has given me everything I need to know you guys are amazing,
Sam
If your boot loader is unlocked you can flash custom ROMs; you will just need to fastboot flash the ROM zip's boot.img each time. To do that read my signature. You don't need S-Off to flash ROMs. You can't run RUUs when your bootloader is unlocked. AAHK is retired, so S-Off must be done manually now.

Need help Flashing stock Android 2.3.5 ROM

Hi, I've got a Desire HD phone which I got unlocked and unbranded from the start and it came with some version of Froyo out of the box. Since then I've updated it through via wifi and currently it's on GB 2.3.5 and after the last update the phone has been telling me that it has no updates available. Furthermore, I have never flashed or rooted this phone so it's still a virgin
Further information on my phone is as follows:
Android Version: 2.3.5
HTC Sense Version: 3.0
Software Number: 3.13.707.4
AND some pics of the specs are in the attachment, please check them out.
Now due to some performance issues I wanted to reinstall either 2.3.5 or lower version of gingerbread or if possible the latest version of Froyo available for my phone. I have already tried restarting, taking out the battery, doing factory reset, wiping the phone and sdcard both from within the phone settings and from the HBoot and Recovery menu as well to no avail.
So I would like to ask you guys for steps and possible links to correct RUU for re-flashing the stock version of unbranded 2.3.5 or lower version of gingerbread or if possible the latest version of Froyo. I don't want to mess with the phone too much by going into the rooting and installing custom ROMS just yet, but that would be my last resort if all else fails.
I'm a newbie so please be gentle in replies
Thanks in advance!
STOP STOP STOP DONT DO ANYTHING!
don't flash any froyo ruu or wwe this will mess your hboot and you'll be in a whole world of hurt.
If you've done a factory reset you shouldn't be having performance issues as that takes you back to factory condition of course.
How ever
Your first course of action now should be goto market and get emmc checker and see if you have the bad chips (sain I think).
If you dont have issue I suggest you do HTCDEV unlock and root your phone or flash a new rom, ive only used SVHD which is ics sense rom which is pretty damn awesome, but im moved on to samsung galaxy s4 (unrooted) now so haven't used newest version yet.
Have a look around the dev forum there are a few really good guides .

I recommend getting s-off and unlocking the HBoot to get the best performance from your phone. I must say that this is not for the faint-of-heart and things sometimes can and do go wrong .
I bought a second hand Desire HD running stock Telus GB for very little money so I didn't have much to lose if I pooched the phone. If you do decide to unlock the HBoot, make sure you upgrade to 2.00.0029 first.
What performance issues were you having?

Ran that app and it says " Brick Bug? NO. Sane Chip "
So I'm guessing my phone is good, right?
I've been having some major bugs popping up on my phone ever since I upgraded to the 2.3.5 update. My phone camera gets stuck while taking pictures, at times it has restarted my phone when I take a picture, the GPS/Location keeps popping up at every boot and I can't seem to disable it, the Connect To Computer message which used to let me select in which mode I want to connect my phone to the PC has stopped showing up and the phone only connects in charging mode to the PC, the speaker phone keeps turning itself on whenever I make a call or receive a call. I've read up on all these bugs on many forums and tried all the solutions to no avail, I have already done factory resets, battery pulls, cleaning of the usb connector, tried different usb cables on different computers, formatted the memory card etc, but none of these things worked for me.
So I'm left with one choice only, that is to erase everything on this phone and flash a fresh ROM onto it to see if it fixes the issue. And just to be on the safe side I want to install anything lower than 2.3.5 since that's when all these bugs popped up one by one for me. And I don't want to root my phone just yet or unlock it or do any experiments with it yet.
So my question is, how do I backup my current ROM in case if anything goes wrong I could revert back to this one and then how do I flash an official earlier version of GB compatible with my phone and where to get this ROM. Since my phone came unbranded and unlocked, I'm assuming the WWE versions would work well for me right? I once saw in my phone somewhere that it told me I have htc_asia_WWE version on my phone, if that helps. But I would rather get an English only version which has no other language settings in it, like chinese, vietnemese etc etc which my phone currently has.
Thanks in advance!

I guess you could run the RUU but since you think its wwe_asia it will be tricky to get a proper link for your RUU.I'd suggest unlocking the BL and if you're only after the stock ROM, flash Android Revolution HD 6.6, it's stock.First you need to upgrade the HBOOT though, you need .0029 for the unlocking process. You unlock the BL via HTC's site afterwards.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38947050&postcount=10
Download HBOOT Update Kit and rom.zip from attachments there.Put the rom.zip exactly in C, and the update kit doesn't really matter, aslong as it's in a folder.Make sure you have your drivers installed, found here , install them.Run the hboot update.bat, but turn on usb debugging first.

I did get a RUU which meets my specs exactly, or so I think:
http://www.shipped-roms.com/downloa...60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_234022_signed.exe
I ran it, updated my phone, it's the same version which is already on my phone, it completed without any issues, but the bugs are still there. So I'm assuming it didn't really reinstall the software from scratch, it just updated the software without making much changes to it, pretty much like a factory reset, right???
Can you please tell me why we need to unlock the HBoot??? Is it to enable us to flash custom roms???
What I want to do is erase the 2.3.5 GB software completely from my phone so it has no trace of it, then install stock/untouched 2.3.3 GB or any other GB version compatible with my phone. So please provide steps and insight into this process.
Thanks

Updated and unlocked my Hboot and now it's on 29 with S-Off.
I flashed CWM recovery, installed SuperUser and flashed the latest version of SVHD and rebooted but phone won't start, after the HTC logo with a white background, the screen goes black as if the ROM can't boot.
Could this be a SuperUser issue or a S-Off issue? I'm not sure if SVHD requires S-On to function properly and it's nowhere mentioned on the thread either.

Advice required :crying:

Flash 4ext, wipe everything and reflash 1.7.0, and then update to 1.7.3.CWM never wiped my partitions properly, it blows compared to 4ext.

[Q] Rooted HTC One X (Endeavoru) on Cyanogenmod 12.0 won't network unlock (with code)

Good evening all,
I am very new to all of this so please be bear with me. I have searched through the forum extensively but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.
I have an HTC One X (Endeavoru / Tegra 3) which is currently network locked to T-Mobile UK.
I have followed various guides on XDA carefully and successfully unlocked the bootloader using HTCDev code & adb/fastboot, rooted my phone and installed Cyanogenmod 12.0. It is all working perfectly and I'm very happy with the results.
My problem is I want to put in an O2 Sim Card and my phone is locked to T-Mobile UK. I purchased an unlock code for £9.99 (officialunlockcodes.com) and popped in my O2 Sim but after inputting the code into my phone, it said that the unlock was NOT successful and I still get the same message (Network / Perso Lock).
So my first question is, is the fact that my phone is running a custom ROM & unlocked/rooted preventing the unlock code from working?
My second question is a about reverting back to original HTC settings/software in order to unlock the network.
I read on a forum that someone else had issues using an unlock code on a custom ROM with unlocked bootloader. He reverted back to stock ROM and locked the bootloader and it worked for him. He then reinstalled the custom ROM and it was all fine. I have tried (and failed) to do the same but I cannot find any stock ROM or a Nandroid backup that is compatible with my phone.
The version is 3.16.110.6 and the CID is tmob005. Htboot version is 1.39.
I used TWRP Recovery & this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...avoru-t3022358 for updating to the new storage layout for HTC One X Endeavoru and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...-12-0-t2976389 for my installation of Cyanogenmod 12.0. (both great resources!)
When I unlocked the bootloader & rooted my phone, I used ClockworkMod as the recovery tool and I did take a back up. However, I foolishly wiped my SD card & storage before I updated to the new storage layout (and changed to TWRP recovery tool) when I was installing Cyanogenmod 12.0 a few days later so as far as I'm aware, I can't simply restore my original ROM.
Does anyone have any ideas? Ideally, all I want to do is unlock the carrier/network and continue using my phone as it is with Cyanogenmod 12.0 but if I need to revert back to stock ROM to unlock the network, I'm prepared to do that. I just don't know how as I've searched through the collections and archives here and can't find a stock ROM or Nandroid backup that's compatible. I may be getting myself very confused on this as I don't really understand CID so I hope I've not missed anything obvious.
I've also tried achieving S-OFF with firewater & rumrunner but it fails and from what I can tell through various threads and research, S-OFF isn't possible yet for my model of HTC One X.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much Amber

I am not reading hole post but I will say few word.
1. No S-OFF for HOX international Tegra
2. For SIM unlock you must be complete stock to work and if you take the code from internet have 95% chance to not work

Hi.
I have HTC One X (Endeavoru / htc_europe).
It is S-OFF and supercid 11111111.
Is it possible to remove the operator's SIM lock?
If yes - please advise or give links and I will read them.
I was not able to find a working way to do it.
Hope someone could help.
