Hi folks, well i was loking for how to get a trasnparent nav and status bar, and i found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262268
My problem is: im so lazy and noob for make that... I would like somebody help me and all XZ ODEX v.A.1.253 users, and give us the *.apk to replace instead default.
Tx for ur future help!!!:good:
It's impossible for ODEX, because necessary files in android.policy.jar are in odex file.
But I have DEODEX 253, so if someone can do it for me, here is necessary files:
android.policy.jar
framework-res.apk
SystemUI.apk
and SemcGenericUxpRes.apk to sign apktools
p.s. I tried to do it but codes are different, so this how-to is not relevant for XZ. But some guys made it for 434)
You can recreate android.policy.odex.
I'm using odex rom, but I could use transparent statusbar and navbar.

1. Baksmali and edit
e.g.) java -jar baksmali-1.4.1.jar -x android.policy.odex -o smalif
2. Convert to classes.dex
e.g.) java -jar smali-1.4.1.jar smalif -o classes.dex
then open android.policy.jar and copy classes.dex in it
3. Download dexopt-wrapper from here
4. Type command
Code:
adb push android.policy.jar /data/local/tmp/
adb push dexopt-wrapper /data/local/tmp/
adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/dexopt-wrapper
adb shell

cd /data/local/tmp
./dexopt-wrapper android.policy.jar android.policy.odex
busybox dd if=/system/framework/android.policy.odex of=android.policy.odex bs=1 count=20 skip=52 seek=52 conv=notrunc
5. Pull android.policy.odex from /data/local/tmp and install (create update.zip or something...)
6. Done!

@mmamedov, RyokoN is right. His final output is odexed file not deodexed so it should work with stock rom. I use the similar approach to make mine too
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=2310216
Ok, got it. It's can be on ODEX and it is already on odex 253 fw! Go and check last update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310216)
p.s. I deodexed files in mod to make it comfortable with my firmware. Only statusbar is transparent
Statusbar 90% transparent not the navbar. If someone can help making the navbar transparent
When viewing a photo in album the navbar flickering
I'm on deodex stock .307 firmware

Guide to changing path thickness of Pattern Lockscreen to ICS style
I wandered places searching this off. I found some traces in direction of my destiny but none of them worked fully correctly
So, as stated, I searched a lot for this mod and came face to face with failures and smali errors. So, I had to figure it out myself some modification to do in it to make it work.
This guide was made by me a while ago but I thought on sharing this here as this is very active community
Note: IT is not COMPLETELY my mod but I have done modifications in it to make it work. This is based on a guide for Froyo outside of XDA. So, I have ported it to gingerbread after some small smali modifications.
Pre-Requisites:
1. PC with Java JDK or JRE
2. Deodexed ROM
3. 7-Zip
4. classes.dex decompiling tool
5. Notepad++
6. Patience
7. Carefulness for editing smali files
Let's Start
1. First we would have to decompile classes.dex inside framework.jar
For that, you can use my Tool ROM Tool v3
First using 7zip, Right click on your framework.jar and open it as archive and drag and drop classes.dex in input folder of the tool
(Note: If you don't have classes.dex in framework.jar [only META-INF and preloaded-classes.dex], then your framework isn't deodexed)
Now, open Script.bat and choose 1 (Decompile classes.dex)
2. Now, we will make the changes. Go to decompiled folder and go to \classout\com\android\internal\widget and open LockPatternView.smali in Notepad++
Search for mDiameterFactor:F [Ctrl+F]
See the code above it.
It should be like this:-
Code:
const[COLOR="Red"]/high16[/COLOR] v2, 0x3f00
If it is, then you will have to remove red part /high16
Because it will not allow the change of code we will be doing which will have a different hexadecimal value which will not be supported till this code is in effect
Now, it will look like this:-
Code:
const v2, 0x[COLOR="Red"]3f00[/COLOR]
Now, we will change the thickness value 3f00 to 3dcccccd
Final code will look like this
Code:
const v2, 0x3dcccccd
Save it
I am attaching final and before smali for comparison below.
View attachment 1936707
(Note: If you don't have /high16, it's good , then just just change the value and save)
3. Go to Script.bat again and choose 2 (Recompile classes.dex) and after it's done, you will get classes.dex
Drop it in framework.jar
4. Push framewotk.jar in /system/framework
Eg:
Copy it in platform-tools folder of android SDK and type following with pressing Enter after each command
Code:
adb remount
adb push framework.jar /system/framework/
adb shell chmod 644 /system/framework/framework.jar
adb shell killall system_server
Last command will Hot Reboot your phone to apply changes. It is fast and better than rebooting phone.
5. Enjoy

Hi all,
I could be wrong, but the fonts and icons (UI in general) on the M8 seems to be awfully big. I've tried editing the build.prop to a different dpi but it gets reverted back to default (480).
I've tried xposed and per app settings for a temp fix on some of the chat applications, it works, but that's not efficient.
Anyone got a way to change the dpi on our M8?
Thanks!

Here is a 1920x1080 version of the bootanimation.zip.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ciybr59yw5sjgrn/bootanimation_-_freedom1_-_1920_30fps.zip/file
(fixed zip file. was zipped with wrong compression. bootanimation files need to be zipped using compression method as 'store', not 'normal'.)
If there is any desire for a lower res bootanimation, let me know.
Here are the basic Windows steps to replace the bootanimation per
http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-customize-the-boot-animation-on-a-rooted-fire-tv-or-fire-tv-stick/
adb connect 192.168.xx.xxx (your ip)
adb push c:\'directory'\bootanimation.zip /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
rm -f /system/media/bootanimation.zip
cd /system/media
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
chmod 0644 /system/media/bootanimation.zip
exit
exit
reboot FireTV
If you don't see an animation during boot up, the bootanimation file is not supported.
Freedom 2
Or another one.

(fixed zip file. was zipped with wrong compression. bootanimation files need to be zipped using compression method as 'store', not 'normal'.)
My freedom.

Best bootanimation ever, but after installation (AFTVnews) firestick4k does not boot. Any idea?
adb shell "cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip"
adb shell "chmod 644 /system/media/bootanimation.zip

I did, by using chmod "0644" via terminal in TWRP. File has different attributes by viewing it with "7zip under Windows" ( all "store").
try to delete /system/media/bootanimation.zip an check if it now boots
stick boots, by displaying "android"
Ok than there is a problem with the zip.
try with my bootanimation
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/bootanimation-zip.5135003/
works, it's the nice "ATV11", the zip-file seems to be defect! I will try again with a new download.
Many THX
Fire TV Boot Lite New Interface
works fine on my firestik4k, THX
Thanks bro .
Used to work before but with newest firmware it seems something has changed. Did anyone got theese working again on stick 4k yet?
Okay i got it working again.
For anyone else:
If you have some magisk modules active check the file in the directory:
/data/adb/modules/"your module"/system/media/bootanimation.zip
and
/system/media/bootanimation.zip
you need to replace both zip-files in order to get the custom boot animation to work again.
If you often update and test your new bootanimation.zip then you may want to check my update script. Will be improving it from time to time to get a more fluid and fast way to update.
