Hey all -
Stupid question I'm sure but is there any rom or any hope for a rom on 4.2 that had wifi calling built in? I'm in a piss poor signal zone and the wifi calling is great and I just flashed to Jedi Master rom from MIUI. I miss MIUI (and any of the other AOSP variants).
Thanks

Looking to update from darkside v4. Starting to get some instability. Want to keep WiFi calling, so that leaves ics roms. Thinking Jedi or infamous. Or is there a jb rom leak with wifi calling?
Been reading the jedi trick and x3 threads, which is more stable? Seems to be still updating.
How is infamous vs gs?
Appreciate any insights.

I'm in the same "wifi calling" boat. I recently installed the Jedi Knight 5 ROM and I cannot say enough great things about it. I used TWRP to install it and it went smooth as silk. Great battery life, very speedy, and well polished. There is also a new kernel, JediKernel_2, out that works great with it too.

Jedi mind trick x3 is better in my opinion.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I preferred Jedi Knight over Mind Trick, but must admit I haven't used X2 or X3. Mind Trick seemed more stable for me, and JK seemed laggy and slow but I think that may have been from using App2Zip when upgrading from JK4 to JK5... which didn't work out so well for me (lots of corrupt programs I had to reinstall, luckily I also backed up with TiB). Had great battery life with JK though, lasting 2 days with light use.
I would say that Jedi knight 5 is more stable especially for Wi-Fi calling. On Jedi mind trick x3, because it's using 4.03, I get a delay on the Wi-Fi calling. With Jedi knight, 4.04, T-Mobile made some improvements in Wi-Fi calling and there is absolutely no delay and calls actually sound much crisper. Just my observations

all roms will have SOME bugs on them, even stock ones. I suggest trying a few 4.04 touchwiz based ones such as KOODO or JK, and moving from there to a AOSP based 4.1 or 4.2 rom or a 4.12 leak.
Anything Jedi
Haven't been disappointed since I bought this phone

CM10.0 Stable - I find it smoother and faster compared to Touchwiz roms.
I say go to jedi mind trick or jedi jelly. Both are extremely smooth and stable.
Cyanogenmod 10 was my first ROM and I think it's pretty easy to install and use. Recently I started using PACman and it's pretty easy to use too. Just make sure you know what you're doing before you start romming!
I liked aokp because of all of the features it offered but the battery life on my tmobile galaxy s2 was not the greatest. i'm currently rocking sons of android build 2, from the maker of the jedi roms.

Nice rom for begginers
Here is a good ROM I have found. everything works. The only down side i have noticed is the call quality. but if you use bluetooth or wifi calling it is crystal clear.

Embryo 6-8, just awesome my favorite to date, another one I liked was JMT but that was ICS 4.0.3, it ran great but I felt that I downgraded since my stock ROM was 4.0.4. Others I tried were AOKP 4.2.2 M1 B5, just too AOSP looking for my taste, had random crashes, Jedi Jelly this one just stuck on booting.
So:
#1 Embryo 6-8, overclocked to 1.78 using samsung governer
#2 Stock 4.0.4 Koodo
#3 JMT
Can someone Please tell me what's the most stable Rom? and with good battery life and zero lockscreen lag please.. Thank you

If you're looking for the most stable with good battery life you'd probably be best off with a touchwiz ROM (I.e. teshxx's latest) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36786363
I saw some users reporting the latest update resolved the wake lag.
Personally, I prefer cm based ROMs like Sons of Android or CarbonROM which I'm currently on. It provides me with great battery life and I don't have any unwanted bloat only what I need. Only problem I had was the camera would FC in low light or when touching to focus in the past. Also I feel that cm based ROMs feel much smoother.

Carbon Nightly | Kroz Hue Theme | Crack Flasher
I have found the latest CM nightlies completely stable.
hi guys, i am trying to get some help here. i am a fan of aokp.
i always had the rom on my previous devices like galaxy 3 and 2.
the problem that i am having besides little options for aosp roms
on this section is that all the roms i try to use that are not touch wiz, which
i am not a fan of. but shout out to the jedi crew though. you guys are bad ass!!!
wish he would do aosp rom. the sound is always so low. and i don't want to start a debate but those sound mods like
awesome beats and dsp seem to do nothing. is there something i am missing? why is there such a big difference in sound?
thanks in advance,

I'm gonna have to try that. It is the only reason I'm not running an AOSP ROM. Volume is crazy low compared to any touchwiz ROM.

Guys...I want to hear about the best of the best Note 2 Roms for L900.
Right now my vote is with Carbon (07/09/13 Nightly) - 10 our of 10. GPS, MMS, Halo, Pie, Custom Kernel, Ribbons, etc. It all works right from the start. Not to mention...It's noticeably faster than SlimRom, Liquid (which still has MMS issues), and PAC-Man (which somehow drains my battery faster than other roms).
I want to hear your Reviews.
This has nothing to do with bashing developers or downtalking other people. I'm not interested in that. Let's stick to the facts and provide proof of why you think the rom you're running is the best.
This will also give newbies a little direction in our world.
Lastly, this is an attempt to give ALL developers an inside look at what's really important to the end-user.
LET THE REVIEWS BEGIN!!!
Yes the latest carbon rom nightly is very nice. The smoothest a d fasted aosp out there.
However, my complaint is wake locks.. It happens with ALL cm10.1 aosp rom..
Do you have wake locks too?
I'm running e: [ROM][MIUIv5][JB-4.2.2] MIUIandroid 3.6.28 port in by @lbxmobbin_1 and its one of the best Roms used in a long time.. Its very smooth and fast.. The ROM is excellent.. I haven't ran into any force closes.. Take some time and check it out ..

I feel the same way, but I don't have wake locks. I just flashed Carbon this morning so I'll report back if anything happens. Also, because I've tried LITERALLY EVERY aosp rom out now, I chose to revert back to unrooted stock, root it, install twrp, then flash carbon. I didn't want to chance having any GHOSTS in my system affecting performance. I'll report back later if I have any wake lock issues though.

Nice. Slim is a very close 2nd to me. I just don't like how the actual developers don't have an official release. I've been checking the website daily and it seems there is a SlimBean for many other devices except the L900. What's up with that?
Side Note: Did Plasma 1.66 fix the sound issues within the kernel?
