just as the title states i need to reset my password for my(default) memo app as i have forgotten my password any help is greatly appreciated

Hello everyone, today somehow made my nephew put a PIN code on my NEXUS 4.
After an extensive search online all results show that the only way is to reset the device.
Is there a way to recover the PIN without resetting? Maybe using Google account?
* There is no option for "Forgot Password".

after some attempts it will ask you to enter gmail, if not..... reset the phone.

Yeah i remember in my old phone i had the same issue if you try it like alot it will ask you for gmail password and should unlock it and you can rest it in other way and you wont lose data on phone but yes you will lose on apps
I want to root my Galaxy Ace 2. For that, I want to save all my App data, but for this I need my "Desktop-Security Password" (Settings>Development-Options; Android 4.1.2). I've never changed or set this, but it tells me to type in, before setting a new one.

GUys I have emui 5 version Android 7.0, It is a fingerprint enabled, and I have forgotten the password. My Gmail email ids are already added to that phone. I can unlock the phone using my fingerprint. Is there any way to recover or reset the password without hard reset or complete reset?

Try android device manager. (GOOGLE)
you can set (change) device password with it. Maybe this wil work for your situation

If you are logged in to your Samsung account, then try Find My Mobile. The Unlock option only wipes off the screen lock info and biometrics.
Google's Find My Device is more limited in that respect, but you can check it out as well.
