Not worth imo unless you're into that rubbery feel. It also came cut too short and narrower than the actual device.
Since I bought a much cheaper xtreme guard that fits and feels better.

So, the ZAGG is not worth it in your opinion, have you use one before?
I have ordered 1 and doubt to cancel it and order an xtreme guard because it is much cheaper.

After a few days removed the full body zagg thingy, couldn't stand its rubbery feel. It is also very thick, and on top of that it wasn't cut to fit the whole screen.
However, my advice is to try it out for yourself, that's the only way, definitely there are people out there who like it. The only good thing I can say about it, I think it might protect the screen better than other, thinner, protectors on the market.

Ok, thanks for the answer, i only ordered the screen protector.
I believe the original version is the rubbery wet application one. They are reliable, but they do have a texture that a lot of people don't like.
The HD version, I THINK, is a dry application one, however.

I actually preferred the rubbery feel of zagg, it actually made the phone more 'grippy'.
Having tried both the zagg and the xtremeguard protectors I would say they are actually both on a par in terms of feel/quality and protection they provide.
However as millicent said, you'll have to try it for yourself as these things are as much about personal preference as anything else.

The Zagg HDs are a wet apply, but do not have the same rubbery feel of the normal Zaggs. That being said they are slightly shorter and more narrow than the screen itself.
does Xtremeguard have that rubbery feel that Zagg's do? If they don't I will be buying a bunch for my devices.

Are there any protectors out there that retain the bare glass feel? I don't care about finger prints or glare, just don't want any scratches I've fallen in love iwth how smooth the screen is
Yeah, I do have the same question. Digging through the 'Best Brand for screen protectors?' and can not find clear answer.
I even do not care to pay more for the ultra clear and same touch feel.
People, you did bought a lot of different brands. Could you please consolidate the feelings after week(s) of usage, anyone?
I have the PhantomSkinz on my Captivate, and I have a zagg on my zune HD. I also tried a ClearFreak on the Captivate for a week or so before the PhantomSkinz came in. Long story short, phantomskinz is a bit better than zagg, and both of them are much much better than the clearfreak. I wrote up a post comparing the three and posted pics here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7420035&postcount=22

SKINOMI.
Though you can feel the edges of the case protector, the screen protector is beautiful.
It is something like .08mm thick and adheres completely flush. I am a new fan of skinomi and love the picture/screen quality with it.

Hmm I will have to look into that I ordered a Seidio ultra clear last night (2 pack) so maybe I'll do a comparison
I use Realook on mine. It smudges up pretty bad but when its clean it looks fantastic. There is no adhesive so you can pull it up pretty easily and you get the standard two in a pack. The camera lens cover is a bit of a pain, the thing is so small its hard to keep fingerprints off the back side when putting it on but I got it on in the end.

That's a good question. It sounds overpriced if you need only one kind, e.g. clear transparent. But if it's great it may worth it to buy. I would like to get a feedback.
I just got my two realook screens today. They do smudge easily but its not any worse then without the protector. It went on easily and I have one small bubble on the upper left corner which I am sure will go away in a day. Overall I am very happy with it, and for $11 for two shipped to my house, I couldn't pass it up.

How do they feel compared to the stock glass screen?
I had an Invisible Sheild full body skin...didn't like it. It wasn't super clear and was a little sticky, I just swapped my phone at AT&T today and they talked me into the screen covers they sell, I guess its new? 3 for $10, so far I like it 100x better than invisible shield, much clearer and closer to the glass feel!
Just got my Seidio protectors in yesterday They were really easy to install and left zero bubbles that were hard to remove. The clarity is awesome - I can't tell that there's a protector installed by looking at it. The surface does seem a bit less smooth than the glass, but I can live with it!

I bought two Skinomi's from Amazon (thinking I might screw up first installation). sure enough, I did screw it up first time, leaving big bubbles. But the second try went down perfectly (you gotta be very careful not to let fluid get into edges of phone during installation).
But ... in the end I found it felt like too much drag when swiping the screen compared to the naked screen. Difficult decision - I'll be really pee'd off if I scratch it, but I'm going naked for now - I'm just gonna be super careful.
I picked up some of the Skinguardz and they definitely have a rubbery feel.
I ordered SGP. Will let you know how it works when it will be delivered.

That is what I got at my local ATT store. They are alright, but at least they are super clear.
Apparently Martin Fields now has Captivate protectors in stock too. I've never used them personally, but I've read a lot a reviews that people swear by them -- a bit pricey though.

Just got the realook protector from amazon in today and replaced the gadgetguard I was never satisfied with. Can't believe the difference- looks and feels like nothings there. And the install was leagues easier and foolproof.

after I went to phantomskinz, ghostarmor, boxwave, realook, bodyguardz and SGP websites, SGP is the most attractive one to me... please let us know how does it feel after you attach it! =)
and say no to bestskinever or invisshield/zagg if you want a smooth feel screen protector, i have them both for my cellphones and camera, which is very nice, but i dont think it will be nice if i put it on my touchscreen devices...
I have a 10% off code for clarivue if anyone is interested. I think this code last until DEC 2010. It's not much but hey it's still something. Enjoy!
Code: "clear123"
BTW their ultra clear screen protectors are amazing. I had the zagg on mine and I hated the rubbery texture, the clarivue feels like the captivate screen itself with no loss in clarity/sensitivity and more durable than cheap ebay ones.
Thanks for sharing every bit of saved money helps. I was wondering how thick are they? I know the zagg I have now is pretty thick and I used to have one on my Nokia n95 along time ago that was pretty thick I just liked the feel of it and wondered if maybe these were like that.

Nope. These are not thick. They are very thin and practically invisible when it's on the phone. The thing about zagg is that the orange peel turn some people off and the swipe is not as smooth as other screen protectors. The cut out is a bit small ( some are oversize which cause the protectors to peel off ) . If you're looking for something w/ a rubbery feel like the zagg you can try "clear protector" they're about the same.

Thanks. Ordered it
Figured I'd ask here, instead of making a new thread. Does the GSII have gorilla glass like my original Epic?
Not sure why anyone needs a screen protector if so. I know some people still manage to get scratches, but I'm not sure how. I did some key-slamming-&-scribbling-tests on my first epic before I sent it in to assurion, and couldn't scratch the thing for nothing. I also use it at work so it gets beat up pretty good. Never had one scratch or blemish, and still don't.
I usually like my phone naked, but with this one being so thin, I'll probably be forced to get a case so it fits better in my hand (like I had to do with my Hero)
Epic touch 4g is gorilla glass from all the specs ive seen online.
I personally tend not to use screen protectors. I find just don't put it in the same pocket as your keys and your set.
I grabbed a TPU case the black matte one of amazon from TPU-cases and it comes with a free one. I might give it a shot, but screen protectors just seem to kill the touchscreen experience IMO. I've always run my ipod-touches without them and never a single scratch.
anyone have a review of this yet??
I have had skinomi protectors on all my devices (Xoom, iPad2, Htc evo, 3VO)

Having used both the two are very similar. I had the invisible shield on my pre and it had a bad orange peel look to it. On my Inspire in used the Skinomi be I didn't like the orange peel look of the invisable shield and I have to say I thought the skinomi one was far better the other it was clear as day and barely noticeable. It was smooth as glass I was very pleased with it. So much so I ordered one for my gs2et.

Actually it dose a pretty good job. Now I'm not saying there will be no finger prints but I would say it cuts it down to about half of what you would see without the protector.
I really want to get a screen protector for my phone, but I don't know where to start. I want a good anti-fingerprint protector but I used some that are just horrible as in sometimes the scratch still occurred on my actual screen. As of right now, I don't have a protector but I'm very careless .
Good thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24472222
On my HD2 with a cracked screen I still have my Zagg, that is what I voted for in the poll. On my G2 I have the protector that came with otterbox case.
All my friends have zagg so i think that's the best one.
I only use Skinomi. Great fit, don't show fingerprints, and you only have to pay shipping if you ever need one replaced. If you check on Amazon you can probably find them on the cheap. They also come with good applicator spray and a squeegee so you're good to go right out of the box.
I use zagg on my sensation. Its locally available @ most malls and comes with a lifetime warranty if they apply it in stores or @ kiosk. Keep you receipt, any bubbling or inperfections, they replace without questioning. No brainer for me.
I used a Seidio one and some army type screen protector from radio Shack.. The army one was 20 and it was crap but the cheaper Seidio one on Amazon was great

Screen Protectors
I'm actually a cell phone salesman and the best that I've found all around is Zagg. You can get them online for around $10-$15 if you look around and they give a lifetime warranty, you pay $3 shipping and return your old screen if you make a claim. A lot of people complain that Zagg's shields are too rubbery, but they have different types. The anti-glare works out in the sun and is smudge proof, and they recently released HD, which is the same glossy finish, but feels like glass instead.
I've used Ghost Armor's, Otter Box's and around a million obscure off-brands from Amazon. Zagg takes the cake, hands down.
Zagg works for me...!
Got to be Zagg for sure
I'm a new GS3 owner, and I know they have Gorilla Glass 2. Is a screen protector needed? Besides protection, what do they provide? Asking for some advice, any will be appreciated.
You sure do need a screen protector. I thought I was using my GS3 very carefully, yet somehow it got quite a few scratches. So, don't hesitate to spend a few bucks that will keep your expensive device in good shape.. :good:

Yes its needed, unless you want tiny little scratches from quartz in your pocket. Besides protection? If our screens didn't need protection nobody would use a screen "PROTECTOR" hence that big bold word.
Do any screen protectors reduce glare? & Are there any you guys would recommned?
I'm not a fan of screen protectors, but if I have to pick one, I think the Spigen curved one is the best I've seen so far.
I was not interested in wearing one, but recently got an Incipio Silicrylic case that comes with what seems to be a decent screen protector, so I decided to give it a try.
The quality seems good, but I'm afraid it will peel off because of the curvy screen. This might not be the case, as it is hanging well so far, but I notice something that resembles a frame along some corners (only noticeable if you look at it with good light in the right angle).
Let's see if I can stand it in the long run
So yeah, if I have to buy one, I would go for a curved one that covers most of the front glass.
Go for an Bullkin protector(fullscreen) or an glass one.
SGP curved is rubbish, what a waste of money have I done on those SGP ones.
Bullkin one is in the Mercury thread here from kms108

Never had such a phone, where i needed a screen protector. So i decided that i need one to protect from small scratches. I bough SGP curved. Of course it is very think and cover the whole screen, BUT i think it shows so much fingerprints and the quality is poor (leaves many scratches).
So now i am looking for fingerprint resistan protector that covers the whole screen (i thnik protection from small scratches is by default).
No screenprotector is fingerprint resistant. Only the matte versions have it a bit. Clear ones not.

Spg/SPIGEN makes very good screen protectors. I really like the glass like feel and doesn't have that rubber feel like zagg. Right now I have the zagg hd screen protector on my s3. But that's only cause the person who I traded my rezound for this s3 had it on previously. The zagg hd is alright. Not to rubber feel like the regular zagg. There are other companies out there that make great screen protectors just research on what you want and the feel.
