There may be a flashable zip out there, but I haven't come across one.
Why not just download the "Volume" app from the market? It will give you all sorts of options that you can control, and even schedule, rather than altering your base system for one feature.
Has anyone tried installing Xposed Installer on their S-Off'd phone? I'd really like to use some of the modules supported by Xposed, but I wasn't sure if it was safe to install or not. Please comment if you have tried.
I too would like to know this
I installed as well as the sense toolbox, seems to work somewhat

Works fine. I've used it with Sense and AOSP roms.
Works great for me, love the power !
Yes it works! Almost everything I've installed has worked or semi worked.
Working great for me. Center clock, different battery icon, transparent status bar, extended reboot menu.
Yup. Lots of mods, in particular, blinkfeed removal and volume notification unlink. Love the custom batteries, everything.
I'm using gravity box to get the AOSP recent apps menu with a clear all button as well as the circlemod battery from Cyanogenmod that is accurate down to the charging animation.

Works great on Sense. Try the Sense 5 Toolbox module. EXCELLENT selection of mods.

What modules are you guys using? I haven't had much time to dig around but I've got the sense 5 toolbox (haven't really messed with it) and the xposed status bar mod for sense.

Is they any risk of busting things up or did it show a reversion to stock for each mod?

The modules I'm currently using with XPosed Installer:
BootManager
Greenify (Donate Version)
XPrivacy
XVolume30
I'd recommend each to anyone, though the more detailed level of privacy customizations for XPrivacy may not be for all. There are other great modules out there, but I have other apps that fulfill some of the same features of the modules available that I like, so I have no need to install them. Good luck!

i've been able to reverse out changes, but you should always create a backup.
I got it for the icon changer, works great and looks awesome with aviate launcher. I also have a couple other modules, no issues so far
what has y'alls mileage been with gravity box on sense. from a review i read of this module, it a) has crazy customizations and b) should only be used with vanilla roms.
Hey guys,
If you're unfamiliar with Xposed Framework Mod, see this thread
[FRAMEWORK] Xposed Framework Mod
In a nutshell, it's a way to customize your device without (or in addition to) flashing ROMs or modifying apks.
Once the framework is installed, there are tons of modules that users have created.
Xposed Modules
Edit: 11/30
Final version of Xposed Framework Mod v2.4 by Rovo89
Download Available here >> http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk
IMPORTANT NOTES
• A lot of these modules won't work yet for our devices.
• You MUST be ROOTED
• While generally less intrusive than flashing ROMs or Themes, proceed with some degree of caution when testing.
• Remove Xposed? See disabler at bottom of this post.
• I'm only providing links. I've had no part in the development of this. Specific credits are given in each of the threads linked.
With that, I'm curious to see which are working and which aren't, and will keep track below.
If you'd like to pitch in, let us know which modules are working/not working for you and maybe we can track specific issues if they arise. I'll throw in links as I can, but definitely search the Modules thread for the most recent updates.
Some Modules can be downloaded within the Xposed Framework App under "Download."

This is great - thanks - I had tried earlier versions of the Exposed AP last night and any ap I tried to use (like Wannam Exposed) was blocked by Knox - I think it was Knox blocking it -
anyway - I saw your post today - installed the beta and then installed Wannam Exposed - and viola! Blue Icons in Status Bar, Clock, Quick Settings Icon - the only thing I have not been able to change so far is the Battery - I tried a couple of Battery APs with the Exposed Ap and none worked yet - but, it sure is nice to have a little themeing possibility - thanks for the heads up - greatly appreciated.
No luck with battery icons here either. Extended power menu is a no go as well. Anytime you long press it, phone reboots.

Doesn't seem to work for me on latest android 4.3 (Samsung base) on S4 I9505.
see error in the attached:
Version 2.2 was working fine on Android 4.2.2
Update:- Works fine after installing SuperSU. It happened that the rom does not have supersu app installed.
Cheers
X blast tools, some of the functions work. Extended power and battery mods, still a no go. Some of the other stuff works fine though.

Most of the Wanam settings are not working. And for now, I wouldn't mess with anything that changes your power menu options.
I'll put up a list of confirmed ones tonight that I've tested.

The 4 way boot in your screenshot is not the power menu (holding the power button); that window is launched by pushing the refresh button within the Wanam app.
The status bar theming though, is interesting. Haven't seen that working yet.
Hello I am wondering what kind of modules is everyone using and to what extent are they being taken to? Give us tips and tricks most people don't know about. Using exposed framework I heard wanam module works with note 3. Does it? Let this page be for just that. I searched around but didn't find anything, found out people are in fact using exposed framework but their Is no real "how to" unless in the original thread. I want to know what works and what doesn't. Share with us your experience?

You need to install the Xposed Framework before you can use a module. To install the framework go to the Xposed framework thread instructions are in there as for modules there just apks find the one you want and install them and then activate them if they don't work just uninstall them like a normal apk.
I myself am using Xblast Tools
Wanam Xposed
App Settings
Kit Kat Toast
All Notifications Expanded
YouTube ad away
Unicon
And some others I can't remember. I have the N9005 but these should work on the N900T

OK, so I've flash customer Roms on a few devices so I'm not new to that. What is new to me is kernels. I've flashed ViperOne 7.0.1 and Elite Lunar Kernal for 4.4.3. Everything looks like if installed correctly. I'm specifically looking for dt2w and those kinds of gesture features that it contains. Right now dt2w isn't working. I'm guessing there should be somewhere where I select the features of EL that I want. Where do I do this? I've looked through Settings and the Apps menus to no avail.
Bottom line, how do I select options for Elite Lunar Kernel?
TIA
Any kernel mod app can enable those kernel features. In viper ROMs, you can go to venom tweaks and over to the kernel page to enable also (I haven't used viper one since 6.0, so I don't know if it's different the new version is)

From what I understand the new version (7.0.1) doesn't have that capability for the M7. It's native to M8. I used the VO tweaks for the gestures before but they don't work now in v7.

I changed Kernels to Kangaroo and it seems to provide me with the dt2w which was my main goal.
Still, I would like to know how to modify Elite Lunar Kernel (or any kernel for that matter) just for my on edification.

How or where would I go to make those edits or enable the features? In the Settings? Is it a file I need to make selections in before flashing? Am I getting close? :silly:

Some ROMs have limited kernel settings, some kernels have an aroma installer to set settings, some have an init file...
No matter what kernel you have, you can install the app below to edit it's settings. Just download and give su permissions.
