First of all, let me start by saying this, my note 2 i317 or my previous GS3 i747 never successfully connected to my macbook pro running mountain lion. On my ATT S3, i have tried stock TW and other versions, CM and AOKP, no luck. And on my ATT Note 2, I have tried stock TW, and the other TW versions like Clean rom, Jedi and Skynote, CM builds and JellyBam (not xda supported), and still no luck. And yes i do have Android File Transfer installed on my mac.
Now this is where it gets interesting.
My friend's international S3 i9300 connected successfully, compared to a few ATT s3 and a verizon s3 that I have tried with no luck. Weird
And now that I flashed Beanstalk and also Liquidsmooth and now my model has changed to N7105 on the build, it successfully connects. Weird. So once the build changes from i317 to n7105, it connects?
This might just be a coincidence or just Apple not wanting us to buy android phones sold in the US.. Lmao.. just my 2 cents..
I would like to know your experience with connecting your note 2 to mac
As long as the device is unlocked, I've had no problems connecting my i317 to my Mac Pro with Android File Transfer. This is using rooted stock and Clean Rom AT&T SE 1.5/2.0.
You can also use the S3 UMS file transfer program. It give you disk access to your SD card. AFT can be used on a mac as noted above as well

So i recently rooted my phone using the donated version of the toolkit so I get my firmware version, but found out that its the same for t889 and t889v. Also, I then went and installed CWM and then I flashed Jedi X 7.2. However, after doing all this, I can't use the samsung apps, for instance the reader hub or the video hub. It says invalid device ID. Any solutions?
I am a newbie and have been trying to get the Darthstalker custom rom on my Note 3, however my computer wont even allow me to send the Darthstalker download into my internal SD because it states that my device is either not responding/unplugged, and it is definitely plugged in lol.
Hello,
I would have posted this in the Jedi X20 thread, but I haven't reached the post count yet.
Background
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note II T889
ROM: Jedi X20 ROM
Baseband: T889UVBMD1 (LTE) and the baseband that came with Jedi X, which didn't come with LTE
I have not made any other modifications to my phone besides the radio flash. I haven't played around with any Xposed modules that didn't come with the device.
I switched the sim card out of my Nexus 4 to this phone on 11/12.
Problem
I recently bought a Note 2. The first thing I did was flash Jedi X20. After flashing, I noticed I wasn't getting LTE, even though I live in an area where T-Mobile has rolled out LTE and other people with T-Mobile are getting LTE. So I checked the baseband and noticed that the ROM was using the older, pre-LTE baseband. I found the newer modem and flashed it. LTE started working great.
The problem, though, is that Netflix and Spotify do not work over mobile data. With both services, I am unable to login. They both give me an error saying there isn't a data connection.
Pandora and Google Music work fine. I also tried HBO GO, which lets me log in but won't play the videos. It just kicks me back to the video's info page.
Attempted Solutions
1. Restricting the mobile data to WCDMA only, which sets the phone to HSPA+
2. Wiping everything and then restoring backup made before radio flash
3. Deleting cache and reinstalling apps in combination with 1 and 2.
Can anyone help? Is it because I suddenly switched phones?
Try clearing data and cache on both apps in the app manager. Reboot in recovery and clear you caches and dalvik and then fix permission.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No Problem By Me
Same as you phone
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note II T889
ROM: Jedi X20 ROM
Baseband: T889UVBMD1
The only thing is I did not change any other thing to the phone. Just Installed the Jedi X20 and I have LTE and no problem with Netflix or any other service that needs log in.
I did not do radio flash.
I have tried for days now searching for the correct modem. Im exhausted my reading and now im asking. Where the link for the LTE modem?
No matter. Moved to OMNI
Hi guys.I seem to be in a small pickle here. Ill explain: I have an Note 2 - International N7105. This is what happened.
I wanted to use it on Wind Mobile (Canada, Same as T-Mobile Bands). So my brother took it to someone who apparently tried to do the Note 2 i337 AWS Bands Mod to it. Now this mod works perfectly fine with the AT&T Note 2 i337. But the guy who did it didn't know it is not compatible with the International LTE N7105. Anyways. He did it and it didn't work with Wind Mobile. I put in my local sim card that was working fine before (Bell) and it showed 1 bar for a few seconds and than it just said "No Service". The following is what i have done so far with no luck:
Downloaded the same "modem" as the rom shipped with. And flashed it via TWRP. Rebooted the phone and now it started connecting to Bell. I made a phone call and it worked, along with data. I thought everything is now fixed ----- Wrong .... The phone although it works making voice calls and data. But after a few mins it just drops the signal and says "No service" again and shows that circle with the line crossing through it. If you leave it alone for a few mins it catches signal and works again. But this keeps happening every few mins. And for the last 15 mins it has shown "No Service".
I went to GalaxyNote2Root.com and read the comments on the article where the guy shows people how to do the i337 Note 2 AWS Mod, and someone else who has the N7105 did the same thing as me and the website owner recommended that simply doing a factory reset or flashing a new rom should fix the problem. That user did that and still the problem remained. So i downloaded a stock N7105 Android 4.3 rom & flashed it on the phone. ----- Same problem. as before, where the phone connects and works and than after a few mins it looses signal and vice versa.
So i thought i would try to flash a custom rom. I downloaded and flashed: JediX20 ... and still same problem.
Normally in all the articles i have read about the Note 2 / S4 AWS Mod, using the QPST program they all recommend you make a backup of your stock .QNC file BEFORE flashing the AWS Modded .QNC file that gives you the AWS bands. (in the event that flashing the modded file fails, you can revert to stock with the backup). Can anyone provide me their stock .QNC file from their International N7105 Note 2? I think flashing it should fix this problem. Or if anyone can suggest something i can do to fix it i would be ETERNALLY grateful! Thanks guys.

i337 is Galaxy S4. i317 is AT&T Galaxy Note 2 (i317M is Rogers model). I think that unless you have a QCN file from before the flash, you're screwed unless you can get one from another N7105 user and edit out the IMEI and flash it to your device.
Help! I rooted my Galaxy S3 about 3 months ago. I wanted to return it to stock without root so I could use the stock recovery and receive the new 4.4 OTA. I found a file online off a YouTube video that I thought was for my phone. I flashed it using mobile ODIN and when it powered back up, I had no mobile network and could not make or receive calls. I tried another file I downloaded and I installed from zip when I was in receovery and now the phone will not power up and does not have the light on when its connected to a charger. It seems to be dead.
I installed from zip because it kept failing when I tried to use ODIN on my computer.
How do I fix? Can it be fixed? I don't know anything about all the technical stuff such as modems, kernels, etc. I should have left it alone!
Any suggestions?
It's an AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-1747
