New Google play with All Access is crashing. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Every time I try to open the new play music it crashes and won't let me do anything. Anyone else having this issue?

Well it should. It means it's not a global issue. Try clearing app data and or reinstalling.

I too have this problem on my GS3 but not on my Nexus 7 or PTV. I have tried all of the typical troubleshooting steps to no avail. There is some strange incompatibility that pops up on some devices but not others. We are not alone and it does not seem to be device specific.

I've done all those things and it still freezes every 5 seconds. Haven't gotten device incompatible yet but essentially it's incompatible.

Play crashing on my Nexus 7 too...about every 5 seconds too. I tried uninstalling and re-installing...but still crashes.

That is strange because it works great on my Nexus 7 but crashes on my S3.

Something is going on I think. Works fine for me but when saving on device music it is really slow. I think their servers are getting hammered. Spotify was much faster saving music to the device. I saved 7 or 8 albums. Took all night and part of the morning.

Yeah i just talked to someone on my same rom and it works fine for them. I just fixed permissions and cleared dalvik and cache and when i logged into music with my Gmail it didn't freeze like it normally does, but then 5 seconds later it froze and force closed. This is the main thing I use for on device music and it is driving me insane.

Go to apps manager in setting and choose play store and clear data. Or try a different rom and see if you can reproduce the same thing

Google Sign In Issue After Flashing Theme

I installed a green theme tonight from one of the posts in this thread. I am presently running Darkside Evolution V8. I previously installed a red theme from the same post so I know it works, at least before. Tonight I installed the theme, flashed DS cache wipe, reboot. Phone says "android is updating" so, ok. After it reboots I get the following message (see screen shot) I click the button to try and sign in and I get the other message (screen shot) I tried rebooting, flashing Gapps, clearing data from account services. Any thoughts on why a theme would have caused that? Or maybe an underlying issue? My phone works fine btw. I can use gmail, playstore, everything. I just get that awful notification once in awhile. I Terribly annoying! Thanks so much for any help!

OK, so what your saying is that the theming and the sign in issues were just coincidence? I guess that makes sense as theming shouldn't affect your Google account in any way. Is this a recently developing issue or a known issue Google just needs to deal with? Well, thanks!

Why is Google Maps trying to piss me off? (Screenshot)

My girlfriend and I have the same phone (Samsung Galaxy Note II), same ROM (teshx's stock updates) same settings and similar software and yet look what Google Maps has been doing to my phone OUT OF THE BLUE for the past four days.
Is it trying to piss me off or something? Because it's working. I barely even use my phone for anything and now it's as if I'm constantly using Navigation or something.
The second screenshot is of my girlfriend's battery usage.
I went through side-by-side at all the settings and they're identical, so what the hell is going on and is there an easy way to quickly diagnose it?
I'm having the same issue but with Google + it keeps turning on automatically And running on the background... this is new to me. Wtf is going on?

For some reason I cannot see attached files on XDA, but I am guessing your complaint is about battery?
I had something similar after I started playing Ingress. It seemed that Maps was constantly using battery and kept showing me "Google Maps has stopped" messages, freezing up my phone for 5 seconds or so. Way I fixed was to roll back updates. Now it's perfect. I will try updating it again, and see what happens.
If you guys don't have the same apps, that could be it. There are a lot of apps that use the maps for location to. I had a app that was using my maps like that and had to delete it.

^ This. You have some app that is hooking into location services that is running all the time that she doesn't have on her phone. The facebook app is famous for this, but there are others that use "Check In" or Messenger type functions that will constantly ping your location.
Try GREENIFY APP (only root).maybe helps. It works really good for me. And im using beautiful widgets, weather bug, fb.running all the time.

You might also want to turn off google's location services when you're using the browser. Google Now also runs up the map usage because it's using the location services as well (that's how it gets those amazing cards to show up). So it's not just using the actual Maps or Navigation that may be running up your battery.

Weird data usage....

OK I was on Rootbox and out of nowhere I was showing 299gb usage in data...up from 5 yesterday... So I wiped it out and did a clean install of slim. After setup it showed me at 100gb again... I cleared the save location for the usage to start clear.... But if I use play store or browser its way off... And the math is not right either... I'll get a screen shot up.

The above links work and you can also find it by going to the Play Store in a web browser and then clicking on the gear icon on the right side and then you will see the Android Device Manager there too.
This seems useless after I change my Google password (which would the first thing to do since thief has my phone as a authenticator).
