Zagg protector smaller than actual unit. - One (M7) Accessories

Just a heads up on the ordinary zagg protector, it might be that I got a too early batch but both front/back wouldn't fit quite alright : they are all shorter, the worst being the front width, 2.1 mm narrower..

Could this not be a design choice to allow the protector to function effectively with a case installed?

Scroll down to see my review and photos for the full body Invisible Shield. You can see how neither the front nor back side go completely edge-to-edge. Still, overall I'm very pleased with it.

I highly doubt as the front is worse, anyways I got an extreme guard - cheaper - that fits much better.

I myself have a Skinomi and it's perfect. Edge to edge, and you can't tell it's even on there.

Review :Brando Workshop Ultra-Clear Screen Protector (PICS)

I decided to try something new and went with the Brando Ultra Clear. The protector retails for $13.00 and. There is also Anti-Glare one also but the one I chose was Ultra Clear which maximizes clarity.
The installation is straight forward and requires no liquid to apply. Simply peel off the front film, peel off the back film, and apply. The fitting is close to the edges of the screen as possible there is cutout for earpiece grill but not for ffc. Due to the screen protectors high clarity it does attract fingerprints but can be easily be rubbed off. I highly recommend Brando Ultra Clear as the price is affordable, the quality is great, and the fit is amazing. when i watch a video on my phone my expression was HOLY S**T i didnt know my phone screen was this good and how beautiful and crisp the picture was. and i have used martin fields this 1 compares really good and for much less $
Inside the package it comes with :
1 Screen Protector
They shoudve at least include a cloth in the package.

I might just jump the gun on this one. I have this damn invisible shield on and it reduces the quality of the screen. Thanks for the heads up.
Your welcome. Ya invisible shield reduces alot I've used it. It was my 1st screen protector. Brando compare to it is night and day.

Very good. Basalguardz have awesome fitting but since I tried this screen protector I like it over arm station they send me a sample better than clarivue I used which was garbage peeled off in week. I highly recommend this screen protector cause the clarity is awesome.

Your Clarivue peeled off? I've had mine on for more than a month and no signs of lifting anywhere.
Still waiting for mine to arrive, I've always used Brando, they're very good. Some of the cheap (and expensive) crap that my wife has bought for her phone really has made the Brando look good. I'm sure there are better out there but it's not too expensive, and no water !
When you install this screen guard, you will not feel a thing sort of invisible. Though at the back of your mind, you know that it offers protection on the display. It is also very easy to install as it kind of clasps the screen when you apply it. Some experienced bubbles on the edges but this product comes with a mini card that lets you push the bubbles away.

[Q] Screen protectors that don't make the screen look grainy?

I finally broke down and got an S3 today and also picked up a pack of the ridiculously expensive stick-on screen protectors that Verizon sells as I didn't want to take any chances in between buying the phone and getting some cheap ones. Anyway, the screen looks very grainy with the protector, especially when displaying lighter images. I really don't mind that much but when I'm taking pictures it really bugs me. I was wondering if anyone knows of a screen protector for the S3 that is durable but doesn't make the screen look all grainy.
Thanks!
The screen protector that comes with the otter box case is perfect. You really don't even notice it at all. It's the best screen protector that I have personally used

I'm not a big fan of the otterbox defender screen protector. As a matter of fact I am not even using it. I think there are a lot of protectors that don't look grainy, I wish I could find one that didn't show fingerprints.

I'm not a fan of cases in general, so I bought an Armor Shield full-body protector - essentially it's like screen protector film, but they send precut pieces to protect all of the phone rather than just the screen.
I'm really really impressed with the whole package - the body parts are cool in that they really just give a great grip (the stock phone is really slippery), but the screen protector is really impressive in all the ways screen protectors have disappointed me in the past.
This one doesn't feel rubbery (interestingly, since the body parts add grip), in fact my finger glides on it better than the glass surface. That was surprising.
And, this one doesn't collect fingerprint grease.
I'm betting armor shield sells the screen protectors solo... and probably affordable, I think the whole body package with the screen protector was only $15.
And it's clear, I think for your original question, just avoid "matte finish" screen protectors. Those are the ones with the hazy/grainy finish.

You favorite screen protector?

Just in the market for a new screen protector and wanted some input from you guys.
So what is the current screen protector that you guys are rocking on your S3?
Also, how do screen protectors stack up to each other?
(Zagg vs Ghost Armor vs Mercury vs Spigen vs Military Shield and others)
Spigen Curved Crystal! Its a dry install protector thats almost edge to edge maybe a few mm's short, but it definitely sticks on the edges. Feels and looks like there as if nothing on the screen. Only complaint is that is does scratch somewhat easily but whatever. Also two protectors come in each pack.
I always used clear-coat on my devices. Love their products and customers support. Just bought me some xtreme guards and love it also.. very cheap and works awesome.

also using the sgp curved crystal with a modello case. i bought it knowing about the scratching and denting issues and have been completely satisfied with it. was using a bestskinsever wet application before and don't know if i'd ever be able to go back. the drag drives me nuts.
any idea of what may a good matte screen protector that goes all the way to the edges? most i've found are all too small
quick tip dont buy the £4 ones from sainsburys they dont cover the full screen and make the touchscreen unresponsive
My favorite is the dba just like glass
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
these are the three I like.
skinplayer 3D mask film for edge to edge coverage, once on you don't notice it.
fonemax glass screen protector
mercury edge to edge protector with colour boarder.
I use Vikuiti. It's less well-known, but the people who've seen often don't notice I even have a protector on, until I point it out to them. It doesn't cover the whole front, and is pretty much made to fit the width of the screen, and length of the phone. Haven't found the need to use any other brand of protectors so far :good:
I would suggest Spigen Ultra Crystal! Good protection, scratch resistance, fit to any case!..
Hands down Steinhill ultra crystal...
It's the best, it's thick but not to thick, feels like glass, smooth as can be.. They are just the best I tried all other protectors nothing comes close.... I don't buy any other for my phones..
I bought a bunch from DealExtreme. They are extremely cheap and high quality. Since most people in manufacturing in China nowadays, possibly the ones I got are the exact same ones sold by brand names for 100x more.

Moto X Skinomi Screen Protectors for $0.01?

I found this posting on Amazon which appears to be Skinomi screen protectors for the Moto X for only $0.01. This seems like a terrific deal. I'm not sure why they would be selling them for such a low price but thought you guys might be interested.

Not too bad. Reminds of bodyguardz in regards that the screen isn't too rubbery like invisible shield. All in all, great especially for the price.

Any experience with IQ Shield? < or > Skinomi?
Had mine on for 7 days now. Still bubbles all around the edges of the protector which look bad. One corner peeled up when I was wiping it down with a screen cloth so now I have fuzzies all under it. The feel of the protector i enjoy. It's not super glass smooth but it never feels tacky to use. The cut of the protector was perfect. Overall for $3 its not bad to hold me over until my InvisibleShield gets here (boy they are slow at shipping). I think I'll stick with InvisibleShield which I've used for many different devices and never had any problems with bubbles coming out / edges peeling. Same feel but better quality it seems.

I've got an IQ shield on mine at the moment. Installed easy but I flubbed and didn't install it quite even and so the bottom keeps bubbling from the case. I think if I'd lined it up perfectly, it wouldn't be an issue. I'd also tried the Skinomi (not impressed) and the Armorshield (I think I must have put the case on too soon, it bubbled along the side once I put the case on 24 hours later). Maybe I should stop trying wet install screen protectors?
Picked up The Skinomi because I couldn't resist the price. The cutouts for the screen sensors wouldn't line up with the phone. (yes, I installed it facing the right way)
Onto the next brand. Thinking about going with the power support one because they are supposedly officially licensed M4de for Moto X.

I have the PowerSupport screen protector that is sold on Motorola's website, and it is hands down the best screen protector I've ever used. Well worth the $15, since it comes with 2. Buttery smooth to the touch, and absolutely no distortion of image. Just feels really high quality and minimal.

I'm using the Rocketfish case from BestBuy. 100% clear, really high quality, and lets the design of this phone shine through. Well worth the price, and doesn't interfere with the screen protector either. Plus its TPU, and covers all the sides of the phone. Really the best case out there IMO.

For what its worth, I got the i-Blason screen protector from Amazon and really like it. I've bought multiple screen protectors over the years for various phones, and this one is probably the best I've had, even better than Verizon ones (which are also really good). They seem overall the easiest to install, and are very clear. Can't even really tell the screen protector is on. Can't comment on how they will stand the test of time, since I've only had my Moto X a few days, but so far I really like them and would buy again.
I also use the Diztronic TPU case, and it doesn't interfere at all with these screen protectors, in fact I don't think it would with any screen protectors.

Same problem here the hole in the screen protector on the lower left side, which I believe is for the mic, does not line up at all.
The edge of the cut out is on the right side edge of the mic hole.
Not having any problem with people hearing me so I am going to leave it on.

Screen protectors need a little gap from the edges, or they'll peel off.
Any reputable brand should be good. Ghost Armor, Zagg... Etc

Before purchasing it, you should ask the seller and you can see the reviews first. Mostly, the customers will tell you whether the screen protector fits their phone. You can have another try, hope you can find the fittest one.
Try out the halo branded protectors on amazon...I did a review of them a while ago and for the price, clarity, and fit you can't go wrong...

What i recommend is that you search for screen protector specyfically for you model... I suggest you buy Niklin Crystal Screen Protecotr - a bit more expensive but fits the screen perfectly and looks great..
Also, a handy tip. While changing the screen protector I recommend you do it in the bathroom after you have taken bath/shower- The steam does not let any dust sit on your screen and makes life much easier !
